The Influence of the German Language on the Latvian Christian Vocabulary

Gliks savÄ BÄ«beles tulkojumÄ āTas Jauns Testamentsā (1685) izmantojis JaunÄs DerÄ«bas tekstu izdevumu āEvangelia und Epistelnā(1587). DarbÄ pievÄrsta uzmanÄ«ba arÄ« Lutera BÄ«beles lejasvÄcu varianta ietekmei uz latvieÅ”u āEvangelia und Epistelnā tulkojumu.

Glika BÄ«beles tulkojumÄ āTas Jauns Testamentsā izmantots āEuangelia un Epistelnā leksiskais materiÄls.HE ANNOTATION
The main aim of the master work āThe influence of the German language on the Latvian Christian vocabularyā is to define am impact of the other languages to the lexicon of the German Christians, to study an influence of German church and Christian`s lexicon on the Latvian literary language and to appoint possible likeness of New Testament`s edition āEvangelia und Epistelnā (1587) with translation of Bible āTas Jauns Testamentsā made by E.Glik (1685).
On the master work are used researches and articles of several authors and researchers, most relevant authors are: S. Sonderegger, A. Ozols, S. Pavidis, A. Bergmane, A. Blinkena etc.
As a result of this research, there is established a large impact of Christianization on the German language, that is showed as loanword from different languages of ancient European populations, there are also appointed relevant impact of the Germans Cristian and Church lexikon to the Latvian literary language, as well as established āEvangelia und Epistelnā similarity with the E. Glik`s translation of Bible. On this master work is established a fact, that E. Glik`s own translation of the Bible was influenced by the āEvangelia und Epistelnā (1587)
