The Influence of the German Language on the Latvian Christian Vocabulary

Abstract

Maģistra darba „Vācu valodas ietekme uz latviešu baznīcas un kristīgo leksiku” uzdevums ir noteikt citu valodu ietekmi uz vācu kristīgo leksiku, apzināt vācu baznīcas un kristīgās leksikas ietekmi un latviešu rakstu valodu un noteikt, vai E. Gliks savā Bībeles tulkojumā „Tas Jauns Testaments” (1685) izmantojis Jaunās Derības tekstu izdevumu „Evangelia und Episteln”(1587). Darbā pievērsta uzmanība arī Lutera Bībeles lejasvācu varianta ietekmei uz latviešu „Evangelia und Episteln” tulkojumu. Maģistra darbā izmantoti vairāku zinātnieku pētījumi un raksti ( S. Sondereggers, A. Ozols, S. Pavidis, A. Bergmane, A. Blinkena u.c.) Pētījuma rezultātā tika konstatēta lielā kristianizācijas ietekme uz vācu valodu, kas izpaužas kā aizguvumi no dažādām senajām Eiropas tautu valodām, noteikta vācu kristīgās un baznīcas leksikas būtiska ietekme uz latviešu rakstu valodu, kā arī konstatēts, ka E. Glika Bībeles tulkojumā „Tas Jauns Testaments” izmantots „Euangelia un Episteln” leksiskais materiāls.HE ANNOTATION The main aim of the master work „The influence of the German language on the Latvian Christian vocabulary” is to define am impact of the other languages to the lexicon of the German Christians, to study an influence of German church and Christian`s lexicon on the Latvian literary language and to appoint possible likeness of New Testament`s edition „Evangelia und Episteln” (1587) with translation of Bible „Tas Jauns Testaments” made by E.Glik (1685). On the master work are used researches and articles of several authors and researchers, most relevant authors are: S. Sonderegger, A. Ozols, S. Pavidis, A. Bergmane, A. Blinkena etc. As a result of this research, there is established a large impact of Christianization on the German language, that is showed as loanword from different languages of ancient European populations, there are also appointed relevant impact of the Germans Cristian and Church lexikon to the Latvian literary language, as well as established „Evangelia und Episteln” similarity with the E. Glik`s translation of Bible. On this master work is established a fact, that E. Glik`s own translation of the Bible was influenced by the „Evangelia und Episteln” (1587)
