PROFILES OF COGNITIONAL, EMOTIONAL AND BEHAVIOURAL CHARACTERISTICS INFLUENCING VALUE SYSTEMS AND PUBLIC POLICIES
This study purposed to analyze inter-influences among the administrators’ profiles of characteristics, their value systems, and their public policies in the situations of local governments in South Korea. The characteristic profiles are attributed to behavior, emotion, and cognition. The value systems are referred
to as economics and job ethics. The public policies were divided into distribution and regulation. The research methods were based on a questionnaire that constructed items for the above three variables and requested Likert scales. The sample size was 1061, recruited from all eight Korean local governments. The results of the structure analysis suggested that the administrators’ decisions about their public policy were influenced by their value systems attributed to their characteristics profiles. Further studies required the application of this study’s paradigm to the diverse values and policies that were limited in this study and to the world’s nations, where the governmental processes are different in economic ideology and political culture from Korean structures
A New Design Method for Ultrawideband Microstrip-to-Suspended Stripline Transitions
A clear and efficient design method for ultra-wideband microstrip-to-suspended stripline transition, which is based on the analytical expressions of the whole transitional structure, is presented. The conformal mapping is applied to obtain the characteristic impedance of the transitional structure within 2.85% accuracy as compared with the EM-simulation results. The transition is designed to provide broadband impedance matching and smooth field conversion. The implemented transition performs less than 0.6 dB insertion loss per transition for frequencies up to 30 GHz
Design of an Ultra-Wideband Transition from Double-Sided Parallel Stripline to Coplanar Waveguide
A design method of an ultra-wideband transition from double-sided parallel stripline (DSPSL) to coplanar waveguide (CPW) is proposed based on analytical expressions of characteristic impedance. The conformal mapping is used to obtain the characteristic impedance for each section of the transition within 3.7% accuracy as compared with the EM simulation results. An efficient and clear guideline for the design of the transition is proposed. The implemented transition performs less than 0.6 dB insertion loss per transition for frequencies from 40 MHz to 12 GHz and less than 1.2 dB insertion loss to 27 GHz, which well exceeds the previous results in the literature
Gate modulation of the long-range magnetic order in a vanadium-doped WSe2 semiconductor
We demonstrate the gate-tunability of the long-range magnetic order in a
p-type V-doped WSe2 monolayer using ab initio calculations. We found that at a
low V-doping concentration limit, the long-range ferromagnetic order is
enhanced by increasing the hole density. In contrast, the short-range
antiferromagnetic order is manifested at a high electron density by full
compensation of the p-type V doping concentration. The hole-mediated long-range
magnetic exchange is ~70 meV, thus strongly suggesting the ferromagnetism in
V-doped WSe2 at room temperature. Our findings on strong coupling between
charge and spin order in V-doped WSe2 provide plenty of room for

A power saving method of the present invention is provide for a wireless sensor network including a plurality of sensor nodes each transiting between a power saving mode and a transmit/receive mode, determines whether or not there is no transmit or receive data, enters the power saving mode if there is no transmit or receive data, and controls power consumption on the basis of signal-to-noise ratios in the power saving mode. Sejong Open Cluster Survey (SOS). 0. Target Selection and Data Analysis
Star clusters are superb astrophysical laboratories containing cospatial and
coeval samples of stars with similar chemical composition. We have initiated
the Sejong Open cluster Survey (SOS) - a project dedicated to providing
homogeneous photometry of a large number of open clusters in the SAAO
Johnson-Cousins' system. To achieve our main goal, we have paid much
attention to the observation of standard stars in order to reproduce the SAAO
standard system.
Many of our targets are relatively small, sparse clusters that escaped
previous observations. As clusters are considered building blocks of the
Galactic disk, their physical properties such as the initial mass function, the
pattern of mass segregation, etc. give valuable information on the formation
and evolution of the Galactic disk. The spatial distribution of young open
clusters will be used to revise the local spiral arm structure of the Galaxy.
In addition, the homogeneous data can also be used to test stellar evolutionary
theory, especially concerning rare massive stars. In this paper we present the
target selection criteria, the observational strategy for accurate photometry,
and the adopted calibrations for data analysis such as color-color relations,
zero-age main sequence relations, Sp - Mv relations, Sp - Teff relations, Sp -
color relations, and Teff - BC relations. Finally we provide some data analysis
such as the determination of the reddening law, the membership selection
