    Get PDF
-- ABSTRACT : Employer branding is a crucial tool for employers to recruit and retain the best talent on the job market. It is also a means of fostering employee engagement, consistent with the mission, vision and goals of the organization. The concept of employer branding is based on a theoretical conceptualization that relies on a joint assessment of two dimensions: instrumental and symbolic characteristics. Job advertisements are one of the channels through which recruiting organizations can disseminate their employer brand attributes in order to attract potential candidates and stimulate application. The main objective of this study is to examine and analyze the content of job postings in the aerospace industry in Quebec from an employer brand perspective. This study relies on a qualitative approach based on documentary analysis. A total of 105 job offers published on various job boards between November and December 2022 were examined. The results show that the organizations studied place greater importance on the tangible instrumental dimensions of the employer brand, such as organizational and job attributes, than on its intangible symbolic dimension. Companies of various sizes, located in different cities, and for all types of positions include instrumental attributes more than symbolic attributes in their job advertisements. Job location, compensation, and working conditions are among the most frequently identified organizational and job attributes. The results of this study provide both scientific and managerial contributions. Avenues for future research are also highlighted. -- Mot(s) clĂ©(s) en anglais : Employer brand; organizational attraction; instrumental attributes; symbolic attributes; job postings; recruitment; content analysis; aerospace industry

    Get PDF

The Sirenomelia Sequence: A Case History

    Get PDF
We report a case of sirenomelia sequence observed in an incident of preterm labor during the 29th gestational week. According to some authors, this syndrome should be classified separately from caudal regression syndrome and is likely to be the result of an abnormality taking place during the fourth gestational week, causing developmental abnormalities in the lower extremities, pelvis, genitalia, urinary tract and digestive organs. Despite recent progress in pathology, the etiopathogenesis of sirenomelia is still debated

Background. Intramural pregnancy is a rare form of ectopic pregnancy, difficult to diagnose and generally complicated by uterine rupture. Case. A 38-year-old woman, gravida 5 para 1, was diagnosed with intramural pregnancy by ultrasound and confirmed with MRI. A uterine rupture occurred, which lead to laparotomy and a conservative treatment. Conclusion. Early diagnosis is necessary for conservative treatment

    OLAP4Tweets: Multidimensional Modeling of tweets

    Get PDF
International audienceTwitter, a popular microblogging platform, is at the epicenter of the social media explosion, with millions of users being able to create and publish short posts, referred to as tweets, in real time. The application of the OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) on large volumes of tweets is a challenge that would allow the extraction of information (especially knowledge) such as user behavior, new emerging issues, trends
In this paper, we pursue a goal of providing a generic multidimensional model dedicated to the OLAP of tweets. The proposed model reflects on some specifics such as recursive references between tweets and calculated attributes

Diamond multidimensional model and aggregation operators for document OLAP

    Get PDF
International audienceOn-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) has generated methodologies for the analysis of structured data. However, they are not appropriate to handle document content analysis. Because of the fast growing of this type of data, there is a need for new approaches abling to manage textual content of data. Generally, these data exist in XML format. In this context, we propose an approach of construction of our Diamond multidimensional model, which includes semantic dimension to better consider the semantics of textual data In addition, we propose new aggregation operators for textual data in OLAP environment

Successful Conservative Treatment of a Cesarean Scar Pregnancy with Systemically Administered Methotrexate and Subsequent Dilatation and Curettage: A Case Report

    Get PDF
Cesarean scar pregnancy is a rare type of ectopic pregnancy associated with severe complications such as uterine rupture, uncontrollable bleeding which may lead to hysterectomy, and definitive infertility. Many therapeutic options are available such as Dilatation & Curetage, excision of trophoblastic tissues using either laparotomy or laparoscopy, systemically administered Methotrexate, and more recently uterine artery embolization. The use of Methotrexate sometimes required laparotomy later because of severe hemorrhage. Through this paper, we demonstrated that viable cesarean scar pregnancy can be managed safely by systemically delivered Methotrexate at the cost of a prolonged followup

A novel multidimensional model for the OLAP on documents : modeling, generation and implementation

    Get PDF
International audienceAs the amount of textual information grows explosively in various kinds of business systems, it becomes more and more essential to analyze both structured data and unstructured textual data simultaneously. However information contained in non structured data (documents and so on) is only partially used in business intelligence (BI). Indeed On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP) cubes which are the main support of BI analysis in decision support systems have focused on structured data. This is the reason why OLAP is being extended to unstructured textual data. In this paper we introduce the innovative “Diamond” multidimensional model that will serve as a basis for semantic OLAP on XML documents and then we describe the meta modeling, generation and implementation of a the Diamond multidimensional model
