    This study conducted as a type of survey in a time period duration of 6 month that starts from the end of the march to the end of September total of the 1000 houses were visited from each of the selected villages of Haripur Pakistan along with 100 dairy farms study carried out by the questionnaires and by the direct meeting with the keepers of buffalos. Four villages were selected where the highest population of buffaloes were found in Syria maira. The farm buffalos were kept mostly for the purpose of selling the milk Results showed that the most of the areas the buffalo keeping is for the purpose of selling the milk wile in other where the selling rate is not found they keep them for their own food and milk purposes. It facilitate their economic status to rise as a part time job. Government should take steps to rise there stander

    FREQUENCY AND PATTERN OF MUSCULOSKELETAL LIMB DEFECTS AMONG CHILDREN IN PESHAWAR DISTRICT

    Introduction: Congenital defects are structural, behavioral, metabolic, and functional disorders present at the time of birth. However, the symptoms of some of these defects may not be clear until late childhood or adulthood. It consists of different categories of disorders, malformations, deformities, and association syndrome. This disorder is common from genetic anomalies and disregard for the developing fetus. The different prevalence of this disorder can be explained by racial, ethnic, socio-cultural, and economic differences between different countries. Material & Methods: This study was a retrospective cross-sectional study. The secondary data was collected from the LRH and AKI. The sampling technique used in this study was convenience sampling. 5175 cases were recruited in this study. The sample size was not applicable because of the secondary data. The data was organized into a spreadsheet based on the type of variable using the Excel program and analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). Results: The overall frequency of congenital MSK limb defects was 157 per 5175 cases. Males were more affected 104(66.2%) than the females 53(33.8%) in the given data. Lower limb defects were more common than upper limb defects. Among the pattern of congenital limb defects, congenital talipes equinovarus was the most frequent defect observed and males were more affected as compared to females. Conclusion: The current study concluded that Frequencies of congenital musculoskeletal limb defects were observed in 157 of 5175 live births in Peshawar district during 2015-2017

    Objective: To explore the relationship between home chaos and Self-regulation (effortful control) among young children including other dimensions of temperament (Surgency and Negative affect). Place and Duration of the Study: The study was conducted from January 2015 to September 2016 in Rawalpindi. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive correlational study. The sample consisted of 100 children (3-7 years) and their mothers. The sample was selected from different private and government schools. For children who were less than 4 years, the mothers were contacted at their homes directly. A purposive sampling technique was used to collect data. To assess temperament and home chaos Children’s Behavior Questionnaire Very Short Form (CBQ) and Confusion, Hubbub, and Order Scale (CHAOS)-Urdu Version were used respectively. To collect demographic information for sample selection according to sampling criteria the forms were sent to parents through children. Results: The results showed significant negative association between home chaos and children’s effortful control (êž… = -.21*, p<.05), non-significant positive association between home chaos, negative affect(êž… = .06, p>.05)  and surgency (êž… = -.16, p>.05).. Home chaos was also found to be a significant predictor of effort among children. In addition, it was found that gender moderated the relation between home chaos and effortful control. Boys get affected more than girls and show poor effortful control in chaotic homes [t (96) = 2.39, p<.05]. Conclusion: Home chaos is a significant predictor of effortful control, one dimension of temperament among young children. Boys showed fewer self-regulation skills in chaotic homes as compared to their counterparts

    MENTAL TOUGHNESS AND ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE: A GENDER ANALYSIS OF CORPORATE CRICKET PLAYERS IN PAKISTAN

    The present study aimed to explore the relationship of Mental Toughness and Athletic Performance of corporate cricket players of Pakistan on gender bases. Stratified random sampling method (Proportional) was used and 176 corporate cricket players were recruited, including males N1(123) and females N2 (53) (Age 14-43, M= 26.65, SD=5.031). Sample comprised 38.63 % Batsmen, 25% Fast Bowlers, 2.84% Spin bowlers, 27.84% All-rounders and 5.68% Wicket keepers /batsmen. Survey was held and Mental Toughness Inventory (MTI) (Task familiarity, self-efficacy, Future potential, Mental self-Concept and Coach Athlete Rating of Athletic Performance(Level of Aggressiveness, fitness, Concentration, Strength, Motivation, Quickness, Team Cohesion) was used to collect the data. Data was analyzed through SPSS 2.0.Findings of the study suggested a positive correlation (.359**) between Mental Toughness and Athletic Performance. However, male cricket players were found significantly higher than female cricket players in mental toughness and athletic performance while playing at the national level. On the basis of the result study concluded that Mental Toughness is directly proportional to Athlete Performance in corporate cricket players of Pakistan and male cricket players were found significantly higher in mental toughness attributes such as task familiarity, self-efficacy, Future potential, Mental self-Concept
