Culture influences all the organizations activities. On the other hand, due to the role and importance of knowledge management in obtaining competitive advantages, understanding the amount of support of organizational culture, especially dominant dimension of culture, is among strategies of knowledge management which are so much important and critical. For this purpose the current study has been conducted on managers and staff of West Mazandaran province Departments of Education. Based on Cochrane relationship, 385 managers and staff of the mentioned departments have been selected randomly. The type of research is applied and is descriptive and survey from the point of view of data collection manner. The measuring tool is standard questionnaire of organizational culture factors and standard questionnaire of knowledge management which validity have been confirmed through content analysis by experts and their reliability have been confirmed with the use of Cronbach's alpha. The results of structural models fit between the dimensions of knowledge management and organizational culture indicate that there is a significant relationship between organizational culture dimensions and knowledge management in West Mazandaran province Departments of Education and hence the effectiveness of organizational culture on knowledge management is accepted. Also three dimensions of innovation, job challenge and communications among all the organizational culture dimensions have the most effect on knowledge management process, which indicates the importance of these elements. Finally, with determining the effective factors on knowledge management the necessary recommendations in line with knowledge management process implementation have been provided

Rheological Properties of Modified Crumb Rubber Asphalt Binder and Selecting the Best Modified Binder Using AHP Method

Crumb rubber modifier (CRM) is one of the most popular asphalt binder modifiers due to the economic benefits and desired physical and rheological properties of asphalt binders and asphalt mixes. This research focuses on evaluating the properties of rubber-modified asphalt binders and selecting the best modified binder. The modified binders were produced by blending virgin binders with CRM at various contents of different gradations, and different methods of grinding. CRM made through ambient and cryogenic grinding methods with two gradation sizes were produced and tested. Three different virgin binders from two sources were obtained and used. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used to determine the best combination of virgin binder and CRM, based on the rheological properties and their importance in Nevada’s construction code. Based on AHP analysis, ambient CRM obtained the highest priority. CRM contents of 10% and 15% were ranked higher than 20% depending on the grade of the virgin binder. Both mesh 20 and 40 CRM sizes were favorable

The toughness and tenacity test method, which was developed in the 1980s, is popular for evaluating a polymermodified binder. Several states like Nevada require performing this test to evaluate non-modified binder samples, as well as other types of modified binders. In this regard, a toughness and tenacity test was performed on rubber-modified samples produced from virgin binder PG58-28, PG64-16 and AC-20. In order to take the rubber size, type and content into account, two rubber sizes, mesh #20 and #40, two rubber types, ambient and cryogenic, and three rubber contents, 10%, 15%, and 20% were produced and tested. The results then were compared with polymer-modified and terminally blended rubber-modified samples. The results show improvement in the amount of initial maximum strength, and a decline in the magnitude of elongation, toughness and tenacity for the rubber-modified binder, compared to other types of binders

Use of Liquid Limit and Dry Density Test Method for Collapsible Soil Identification

One of the most recognized geotechnical hazard which causes dramatic life lost and serious damages to different structures, are the collapsible soils under the foundation of structures. This problem becomes more critical when water is seeped or induced to the soil structure because collapsible soils are metastable and they have an open structure Khoda Afarin main canal is a major conveyance canal which is located and is under construction in Moghan and Khoda Afarin region pass throw East Azerbaijan and Ardabil provinces in IRAN. Presence of collapsible soils in some portion of this canal bed has brought the necessity of study and treatment of this problem to the point of view. The paper takes a brief view on correlation with liquid limit and dry density test. According to the results obtained from correlation between liquid limit and dry density and practical steps have been under taken during the project implementation, such as prepounding, it was observed that effect of moisture due to prepounding sudden changes in soil volume which is the one of collapsible soils characteristic have taken place. There for it can be concluded that application of correlation between liquid limit and dry density is logical and acceptable

The aim of the present research is to study the effect of social capital on social participation of Behshahr city citizens and for this purpose 367 of the citizens of this city have been selected with the use of simple random sampling method and have responded to social capital and social participation questionnaires. The questionnaires’ format validity have been confirmed by three experts in the relevant field and their reliability have been tested with the use of Cronbach’s alpha which is equal to 0.92 and 0.87 for social capital and social participation, respectively. Finally, the collected data from the questionnaires were analyzed with the use of two-variable linear regression test and the results indicate that social capital has a significant effect (p<0.01) on social participation of Behshahr city citizens
