    Kesediaan pelajar terhadap kit 'Smart CCTV' bagi pelajar teknologi elektronik di Kolej Vokasional

    Penggunaan alat bahan bantu mengajar (ABBM) dalam pengajaran perlu dipelbagaikan bagi memudahkan dan membantu pelajar dari segi kefahaman yang mendalam dalam subjek yang dipelajarinya.Kajian ini ingin membangunkan satu produk Kit ‘Smart CCTV’ sebagai ABBM dan mengkaji persepsi pelajar mengenai kefahaman kepada pelajar terhadap topik Pemasangan Perkakasan Elektronik sistem litar tertutup televisyen (CCTV) dari segi domain kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor bagi pelajar aliran Teknologi Elektronik di kolej vokasional. Reka bentuk kajian ada dua bahagian iaitu reka bentuk pembangunan produk yang menggunakan model ‘Rapid Prototype’dan kajian deskriptif kaedah tinjauan untuk kajian keseluruhan. Analisis kajian ini menggunakan kaedah deskriptif kekerapan, peratusan, skor min dan sisihan piawai yang menggunakan perisian Microsoft Office Excel 2016. Reka bentuk pembangunan produk kit ‘Smart CCTV’ amat sesuai sebagai ABBM. Dapatan analisis bagi persepsi pelajar terhadap penggunaan ABBM keseluruhannya skor min ketiga-tiga domain; kognitif, psikomotor dan afektif, masing-masing mempunyai skor min 3.25, 3.21 dan 3.30, maka ketiga-tiga domain memberikan kesan yang sama terhadap pelajar berkenaan dengan penggunaan ABBM kit ‘Smart CCTV’. Hasil kajian ini diharapakan dapat dijadikan sebagai satu garis panduan kepada guru di kolej vokasional untuk menggunakan ABBM dalam PdP serta panduan kepada pengkaji lain untuk meneruskan kajian berkenaan dengan penggunaan ABBM terhadap pencapaian pelajar

    In digital image processing and computer vision, segmentation operation for an image refers to dividing an image into multiple image segments, and the significant purpose of segmentation operation is to depict an image in a way so that the analysis process of the objects of interest is easier and more accurate. The region-based segmentation scheme act for finding similarities between adjacent pixels to detect each region that constructs the image. Similarity scales have based on different features, in a grayscale image, the scale may be referred to as textures and other spatial appearances, and also the variance in intensity of a region and so on. Significantly, many applications in different fields involved region-based segmentation for instance remote sensing, medical application, and others for recognizing interesting objects in an image. In this paper, two techniques for segmentation operation in region-based which are region growing and watershed are reviewed

    Hybrid Features of Mask Generated with Gabor Filter for Texture Analysis and Sobel Operator for Image Regions Segmentation Using K-Means Technique

    To make the image easily represented for more analysis and processing the segmentation procedure is required, where the image is portioned into its formed regions using some segmentation techniques based on features extraction. In this paper, a proposed procedure for finding the regions that formed the image is achieved based on hybrid features in two different components of different two colors spaces L*a*b* and RGB segmented by the k-means method. The hybrid features which comprise the mask segmentation are a combination of texture image characterization extracted by the Gabor filter and gradient image intensity by the Sobel operator after image quality enhancement by applying wiener filter noise reduction and contrast enhancement using Contrast limited adaptive equalization (CLAHE). Some statistical metrics are used for evaluating the performance of the proposed work stages

    Texture analysis and gradient magnitude extracted features based active contour image segmentation

    Image segmentation is a vital mechanism for extracting information from image-forming regions (objects) for supplementary processing. The segmentation process is employed in different applications such as object recognition and others.  In this paper, the segmentation procedure is proposed using the active contour technique based on texture analysis with entropy and local standard deviation filtering, and another type of feature is gradient magnitude with a central difference operator when the enhanced process to the image quality is performed on a grayscale of the input image by reducing noise with Wiener filter and Histogram Equalization technique for contrast enhancement, canny edge operator is used for boosting segmentation process. The accuracy of the resulting regions’ segmentation is evaluated in clean and noisy conditions using some statistical metric

Unfortunately, there is some energy that does not have being fully utilized from conventional ceiling fan. By using simple conversion of energy, from mechanical energy to electrical energy or vice versa are being applied in this project. Therefore, in order to utilize the energy that being produced by the conventional ceiling fan, a design has being introduced which is combined the motor-generator system using axial configuration. There are some previous technologies of ceiling fan that using other configuration which need some improvement that can be develop using the design that being introduced. Motor-generator system using axial configuration is using one rotor and two stator arrangement which stator part is for motor and generator and rotor part is the combination part for generator and motor

    Synthesis and Biological Effectiveness of Some new Azo Compounds as Derivatives of Nitrogen Bases

    In this study the new azo compounds (3compounds) for nitrogen bases (Adenine and Cytosine) are synthesized through two reaction steps (formation of diazonium salt and coupling reaction). The compounds have been characterized by FTIR, melting point, and ultra-violate (UV) spectra. All synthesized compounds have been estimated in vitro for their antimicrobial activities against two species of bacteria(E.coli, S.aureus)and one kind of fungi ( Aspergillus flavus) .The results show that these compounds have very good antibacterial and antifungal activities especially compounds 1 and 3.To study the effect of these compounds were making some physiological tests on rats are made ,the results of hematological study showed decreasing level of total hemoglobin concentration in all treatment groups specially in group (1).The values of Packed in cell volume (P.C.V) are within normal blood range of rats . Total leucocytes count (W.B.C) decrease in all groups

    Jangkaan pelajar perakaunan terhadap kurikulum pendidikan perakaunan di institusi pengajian tinggi awam Malaysia

    Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisispandanganpelajar perakaunan tahun akhirterhadap kurikulum pendidikan perakaunan dalam menyediakanmerekadengan ilmu dan kemahiran profesional yang mencukupi untuk menghadapi persekitaran kerjaya dengan jayanya. Kajian kuantitatif ini menggunakan soal selidik untuk mengumpul data daripada 150 orang pelajar perakaunan tahun akhir di tiga buah institusi pengajian tinggi awam. Pemilihan sampel adalah berdasarkan persampelan rawak mudah yang diedarkan di tiga buah fakulti dari universiti yang menawarkan program perakaunan. Dapatan kajian dianalisis menerusi analisis min, peratus, frekuensi dan ujian-t. Penemuan kajian mendapati terdapat kurang integrasi antara kursus-kursus yang ditawarkan dalam kurikulum, perlunya penambahan kursus baru yang lebih menekankan penguasaan kemahiran professional serta perlunya pendekatan pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang digunapakai ditambahbaik yang memberi penekanan kepada pembangunan kemahiran pelajar. Kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa kemahiran intelektual dan kemahiran personal dianggap paling penting kepada graduan sebagai persediaan dalam kerjaya mereka. Oleh itu, penambahbaikan perlu dilakukan terhadap kurikulum pendidikan perakaunan, penguasaan kemahiran profesional perlu ditekankan supaya IPTA dapat melahirkan tenaga kerja yang berkualiti dan cemerlang
