Sacherschließung von Forschungsdaten

Ziel des Arbeitspakets „Metadaten“ ist die Erarbeitung eines Metadatenframeworks für Repositorien in Österreich und von Guidelines, die mit FAIR-Richtlinien (FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship) arbeiten. Die Suche von Forschungsdaten und anschließende Projektkooperationen können repositorienübergreifend nur funktionieren, wenn ein gemeinsamer Satz von Metadaten beim Einbringen der Daten erstellt wird und wenn die eingebrachten Daten mit Kontrolliertem Vokabular beschrieben werden. Das Alte Buch an der ULB Tirol – Erbe und Auftrag

The University and State Library of Tyrol holds extensive and important historic collections of manuscripts, incunabula and early prints which have been substantially expanded over the last few years. The Special Collections department is responsible for preserving and making accessible this cultural heritage, understanding its tradition as a mission. The origin and the recent developments of the department are highlighted by the following article. In 2007 the University Library of Innsbruck took over the additional function of an official Library of the State of Tyrol. The Special Collections department complies with this new role by focusing not only on its own historic holdings, but by assisting other historic collections in Tyrol. The projects of cataloging the manuscripts in other Tyrolean libraries may serve as an example. The authors of the contributions are mentioned in brackets
