Analysing discourse: an approach from the sociology of knowledge

'Im Beitrag wird das Forschungsprogramm der Wissenssoziologischen Diskursanalyse vorgestellt. Die Wissenssoziologische Diskursanalyse greift wichtige Anregungen der Foucaultschen Diskurstheorie auf und verbindet sie mit den Traditionen des sozialwissenschaftlichen interpretativen Paradigmas einschließlich der Hermeneutischen Wissenssoziologie. Sie begreift Diskurse als 'strukturierte und strukturierende Strukturen', die gesellschaftliche Aussagepraktiken instruieren. Die Wissenssoziologische Diskursanalyse betont die Rolle sozial konstituierter Akteure in der gesellschaftlichen Produktion und Zirkulation von Wissen und verbindet die Forschungsinteressen der Diskursperspektive mit dem methodischen Instrumentarium der qualitativen Sozialforschung. Mit Analysekonzepten wie 'Deutungsmuster', 'Klassifikationen', 'Phänomenstruktur', 'narrative Struktur', 'Dispositiv' u.a. und im Rückgriff auf Arbeitsstrategien der 'Grounded Theory' reorientiert sie die Diskursperspektive weg von der Frage nach Sprache und hin zum soziologischen Interesse an der Untersuchung gesellschaftlicher Wissensverhältnisse und Wissenspolitiken, zur diskursiven Konstruktion der Wirklichkeit als materialem Prozess.' (Autorenreferat)'The contribution outlines a research programme which the author has coined the 'sociology of knowledge approach to discourse' (Wissenssoziologische Diskursanalyse). This approach to discourse integrates important insights of Foucault's theory of discourse into the interpretative paradigm in the social sciences, especially the 'German' approach of hermeneutic sociology of knowledge (Hermeneutische Wissenssoziologie). Accordingly, in this approach discourses are considered as 'structured and structuring structures' which shape social practices of enunciation. Unlike some Foucauldian approaches, this form of discourse analysis recognises the importance of socially constituted actors in the social production and circulation of knowledge. Furthermore, it combines research questions related to the concept of 'discourse' with the methodical toolbox of qualitative social research. Going beyond questions of language in use, 'the sociology of knowledge approach to discourse' (Wissenssoziologische Diskursanalyse) addresses sociological interests, the analyses of social relations and politics of knowledge as well as the discursive construction of reality as an empirical ('material') process. For empirical research on discourse the approach proposes the use of analytical concepts from the sociology of knowledge tradition, such as interpretative schemes or frames (Deutungsmuster), 'classifications', 'phenomenal structure' (Phänomenstruktur), 'narrative structure', 'dispositif' etc., and the use of the methodological strategies of 'grounded theory'.' El análisis situacional (AS) combina las tradiciones más viejas así como las más recientes de la sociología pragmática, especialmente las de la Escuela de Chicago y la teoría de mundos/arenas sociales de Anselm STRAUSS, con la perspectiva de FOUCAULT sobre el discurso, el pensamiento feminista y la epistemología post-positivista. Sobre a práxis da análise do discurso da sociologia do conhecimento

Este artigo é uma introdução à Análise do Discurso da Sociologia do Conhecimento (ADSC). Trata-se de uma abordagem da pesquisa discursiva dentro das ciências sociais que goza de antiga recepção no espaço de língua alemã e recentemente também em âmbito internacional. Essa abordagem combina a análise de regimes de saber/poder postulada por Foucault com o paradigma interpretativo da sociologia, em especial com a tradição pragmática do interacionismo simbólico e da sociologia do conhecimento social-construtivista. São apresentados importantes conceitos fundamentais, além de sugestões para a metodologia e a aplicação metódica de estudos discursivos correspondentes.This article introduces the sociology of knowledge approach to discourse (SKAD). This approach to social science discourse research has been widely received in the German-speaking world and for some time now also internationally. SKAD combines the analysis of power/knowledge regimes called for by Foucault with the interpretative paradigm of sociology, in particular with the pragmatist tradition of symbolic interactionism and the social constructivist sociology of knowledge. To this end, important basic concepts and, in particular, proposals for the methodology and implementation of corresponding discourse studies are presented.Der Beitrag führt in die Wissenssoziologische Diskursanalyse (WDA) ein. Dabei handelt es sich um einen seit langem im deutschsprachigen Raum und inzwischen auch international breit rezipierten Ansatz der sozialwissenschaftlichen Diskursforschung. Dieser Ansatz verbindet die von Foucault geforderte Analyse von Macht/Wissen-Regimen mit dem Interpretativen Paradigma der Soziologie, insbesondere mit der pragmatistischen Tradition des Symbolischen Interaktionismus und der sozialkonstruktivistischen Wissenssoziologie. Dazu werden wichtige Grundbegriffe und insbesondere Vorschläge zur Methodologie und methodischen Umsetzung entsprechender Diskursstudien vorgestellt

Analiza diskursa iz ugla sociologije saznanja. Jedna nova perspektiva za kvalitativne metode

Prilog predstavlja program istraživanja koji je poznat pod nazivom „analiza diskursa iz ugla sociologije saznanja“ (Wissenssowiologische Diskursanalyse). Ovaj pristup diskursu stavlja u vezu promišljanja Mišela Fukoa o teoriji diskursa sa interpretativnom paradigmom u društvenim naukama, naročito utemeljenoj na tradiciji inspirisanoj radovima Petera Bergera i Tomasa Lukmana. Radi se o tome da se analiza diskursa orijentiše prema sociološkoj analizi diskurzivne konstrukcije društvene stvarnosti. Suprotno fukoovskoj tradiciji, sociološka analiza diskursa predstavljena ovde podvlači važnost socijalnih aktera u društvenoj produkciji i cirkulaciji znanja i saznanja. Drugim rečima, ona koristi čisto metodološka oruđa u kvalitativnim istraživanjima u društvenim naukama, posebno neke koncepte proizašle iz sociologije saznanja (interpretativne šeme, klasifikacije, fenomenske strukture, narativne strukture) i „usidrenoj teoretizaciji“
