A "prózafordulat" mint korszakalakzat és elemzési szempont = Prosa Turn as epochal figure and analytical aspect
A kutatás az Ăşn. "prĂłzafordulat" irodalomtörtĂ©neti jelensĂ©gĂ©t vizsgálta, melyhez a kĂ©sĹ‘ modern-posztmodern korszakĂĽszöb köthetĹ‘ a magyar irodalomban. Ehhez a fordulathoz a kortárs irodalom-, törtĂ©nelem- Ă©s mĂ©diaelmĂ©letek belátásainak alkalmazásával több szempontbĂłl közelĂtettĂĽnk, hogy Ăgy tágĂthassuk a jelensĂ©g Ă©rtelmezĂ©si kereteit. KĂĽlönös hangsĂşlyt fektettĂĽnk a kanonizáciĂłs folyamatok kĂ©rdĂ©sĂ©re Ă©s ezzel összefĂĽggĂ©sben az irodalomtörtĂ©neti fordulat intĂ©zmĂ©nyi feltĂ©teleinek vizsgálatára, azaz a magyar irodalmotudomány ezzel párhuzamosan játszĂłdĂł megĂşjulási folyamataira. Vizsgáltuk továbbá, hogy mennyiben beszĂ©lhetĂĽnk a fordulat elĹ‘zmĂ©nyeirĹ‘l mind az irodalmi termelĂ©s, mind az irodalomkritika oldalán. KĂĽlön hangsĂşlyt fektettĂĽnk a kĂ©rdĂ©sre, hogy a kortárs prĂłza felĹ‘l nĂ©zve ez a fordulat inkább egy folyamat a lezárásának vagy kezdetĂ©nek tekinthetĹ‘. A kutatás során egy konferenciát szerveztĂĽnk (2007), a tapasztalatok összegzĂ©sĂ©re megjelentettĂĽnk egy többszerzĹ‘s tanulmánykötetet PrĂłzafordulat (2007) cĂmmel. A kutatás további eredmĂ©nyeit három monográfiában, (Szirák PĂ©ter: Ă–rkĂ©ny István, 2008; PalkĂł Gábor: Esterházy-kontextusok, 2007; Györffy MiklĂłs-Kelemen Pál: KertĂ©sz und die Seinigen, 2008), valamint számos esetanulmányban Ă©s szĂłcikkben tettĂĽk közzĂ©, kĂĽlönös figyelmet fordĂtva arra, hogy a kutatás eredmĂ©nyeit a kĂĽlföldi szakmai közönsĂ©g is megismerhesse. | The research project examined the phenomena of 'the postmodern turn' in Hungarian literature, as it is commonly known, that is the transition from the late modern epoch to postmodernsim from a literary historical perspective. Our methodology relied on an interdisciplinary basis, making use of the current trends of literary theory, the theories of history, and media studies in order to create a more contextualized view on 'the postmodern turn'. Firstly, we highlighted the questions of canon-formation and how the institutional conditions of literary history changed over time, which is closely connected to a certain renewal of Hungarian literature. Secondly, we show that the 'postmodern turn' is not punctiform, so that the main literary products of the epoch have a prehistory, and the same applies to literary criticism too. Thirdly, it was examined whether the 'turn' is the end of a process, or just the opposite, the beginning of it. During the term of the research project we organized a conference (in 2007), in the same year we published a volume entitled 'The Postmodern Turn' (PrĂłzafordulat). Further results were published in three separate monographies (Gábor PalkĂł: Esterházy-kontextusok, 2007; PĂ©ter Szirák: István Ă–rkĂ©ny, 2008; MiklĂłs Györffy - Pál Kelemen: KertĂ©sz und die Seinigen, 2008), and in several studies and essays, both in Hungarian and foreign languages
Light Sailboats: Laser driven autonomous microrobots
We introduce a system of light driven microscopic autonomous moving particles
that move on a flat surface. The design is simple, yet effective: Micrometer
sized objects with wedge shape are produced by photopolymerization, they are
covered with a reflective surface. When the area of motion is illuminated
perpendicularly from above, the light is deflected to the side by the wedge
shaped objects, in the direction determined by the position and orientation of
the particles. The momentum change during reflection provides the driving force
for an effectively autonomous motion. The system is an efficient tool to study
self propelled microscopic robots
Hermeneutika és esztétika. Kép és szöveg viszonya az esztétikai modernségben = Hermeneutics and Aesthetics. The Relation of Picture and Text in the Aesthetic Modernity
A 3 Ă©ves kutatás kettĹ‘s cĂ©lt tűzött ki maga elĂ©, amit meg is valĂłsĂtott. EgyrĂ©szt kiadtunk 6 olyan fordĂtáskötetet (G. Boehm, K. Fiedler, H. Belting, M. Imdahl, W. Kemp, R. Konersmann munkáit), amivel a hazai tudományos közössĂ©gek számára magyarul is hozzáfĂ©rhetĹ‘vĂ© tettĂĽnk a „kĂ©p”, a „kĂ©pisĂ©g”, a „kĂ©pi fordulat”, illetve a „kultĂşratudományi fordulat” tĂ©májával foglalkozĂł alapvetĹ‘ kĂĽlföldi munkákat. SzándĂ©kunk szerint ezek hozzájárulhatnak a magyar szellemtudományok kĂ©ptudományi ĂşjraorientálĂłdásához. MásrĂ©szt saját kutatĂłmunkával kĂvántunk hozzájárulni az esztĂ©tikai modernsĂ©g „kĂ©pi diszkurzus”-ának feltárásához. Ennek keretĂ©ben megszerveztĂĽnk 2 nemzetközi konferenciát Ă©s megjelentettĂĽk azok anyagát 1-1 idegen nyelvű kötetben. Ezen felĂĽl számos egyĂ©ni, a tĂ©mához kapcsolĂłdĂł tanulmányt jelentettĂĽnk meg magyar Ă©s idegen nyelven. | The 3 year long project has set and achieved its two aims. On the one hand, a volume of selected translations was published with a view to its contribution to the redefinition of the Hungarian humanities in the fields of the pictorial sciences. (Writings of Boehm, G.; Fiedler, K.; Belting, H.; Imdahl, M.; Kemp, W.; Konersmann, R.) This way the basic works on the topic of „image”, „iconic”, „iconic turn” and „cultural turn” are now available for Hungarian academic groups. On the other hand, with our own research project, we wanted to help/facilitate the ongoing research projects on „image discourse” of the aesthetical modernity. For this reason, we have organised two international conferences and published one foreign-language book based on the papers given for each. Apart from this, several individual studies of the same subject were published in Hungarian and in foreign-languages
Holographic multi-focus 3D two-photon polymerization with real-time calculated holograms.
Two-photon polymerization enables the fabrication of micron sized structures with submicron resolution. Spatial light modulators (SLM) have already been used to create multiple polymerizing foci in the photoresist by holographic beam shaping, thus enabling the parallel fabrication of multiple microstructures. Here we demonstrate the parallel two-photon polymerization of single 3D microstructures by multiple holographically translated foci. Multiple foci were created by phase holograms, which were calculated real-time on an NVIDIA CUDA GPU, and displayed on an electronically addressed SLM. A 3D demonstrational structure was designed that is built up from a nested set of dodecahedron frames of decreasing size. Each individual microstructure was fabricated with the parallel and coordinated motion of 5 holographic foci. The reproducibility and the high uniformity of features of the microstructures were verified by scanning electron microscopy
Photoinitiated Thiol-Ene Reactions of Various 2,3-Unsaturated O-,C- S- and N-Glycosides – Scope and Limitations Study
The photoinitiated thiol-ene addition reaction is a
highly stereo- and regioselective, and environmentally
friendly reaction proceeding under mild conditions, hence it
is ideally suited for the synthesis of carbohydrate mimetics. A
comprehensive study on UV-light-induced reactions of 2,3-
unsaturated O-, C-, S- and N-glycosides with various thiols
was performed. The effect of experimental parameters and
structural variations of the alkenes and thiols on the efficacy
and regio- and stereoselectivity of the reactions was systematically
studied and optimized. The type of anomeric
heteroatom was found to profoundly affect the reactivity of
2,3-unsaturated sugars in the thiol-ene couplings. Hydrothiolation
of 2,3-dideoxy O-glycosyl enosides efficiently
produced the axially C2-S-substituted addition products with
high to complete regioselectivity. Moderate efficacy and
varying regio- and stereoselectivity were observed with 2,3-
unsaturated N-glycosides and no addition occurred onto the
endocyclic double bond of C-glycosides. Upon hydrothiolation
of 2,3-unsaturated S-glycosides, the addition of thiyl
radicals was followed by elimination of the thiyl aglycone
resulting in 3-S-substituted glycals
MikromanipuláciĂłs kĂsĂ©rletek lĂ©zercsipesszel = Micromanipulation experiments with optical tweezers
A kutatás az optikai mikromanipuláciĂł terĂĽletĂ©n, kĂĽlönbözĹ‘ irányokban vĂ©gzett fejlesztĂ©seket Ă©s kutatási alkalmazásokat kĂ©pviselt. A mikromanipuláciĂł terĂĽletĂ©n azt vizsgáltuk, milyen Ăşj manipuláciĂłs lehetĹ‘sĂ©geket nyĂşjtanak speciális alakĂş prĂłbatestek (ellentĂ©tben az általáéban használt gömb alakkal). Ennek során kidolgoztuk a lĂ©zeres fotopolimerizáciĂłs struktĂşra Ă©pĂtĂ©s technikáját. Ezzel egyrĂ©szt a mikromanipuláciĂł Ăşj lehetĹ‘sĂ©geit vizsgáltuk. PĂ©ldául, lehetĹ‘sĂ©g nyĂlik torziĂłs manipulálásra, csavarásra, meghatároztuk a DNS molekula torziĂłs rugalmasságát. Ezen kĂvĂĽl, bonyolult struktĂşrákat Ă©pĂtettĂĽnk, fĂ©nnyel hajtott mikrogĂ©peket, mikrofluidikai csatornákat, integrált optikai szenzorokat. EzekbĹ‘l bonyolultab összetett rendszereket raktunk össze: fĂ©nnyel vezĂ©relt fluorescencia aktivált optikai sejtszeparátort. Kidolgoztuk a fĂ©nnyel vezĂ©relt elektroozmĂłzis eljárását. Itt elektromos tĂ©rrel mozgatott folyadĂ©k áramlását vezĂ©reljĂĽk fĂ©nnyel, ez Ă©rdekes jelensĂ©g, Ă©s Ăşj lehetĹ‘sĂ©geket nyĂşjt mikrofluidikai rendszerek vezĂ©rlĂ©sĂ©ben. | The research represented studies in the area of optical micromanipulation, both developing new procedures and basic applications. In the area of micromanipulation we investigated, what new possibilities are offered by test objects of special shapes (as opposed to the generally used spheres). In this process we developed the structure building by laser induced photopolymerization. With this we studied new possibilities of optical manipulation. For example, a poissibility emerges for torsional manipulation, twisting, we determined the torsional elasticity of DNA molecules. In addition, we built complex structures, light driven micromachines, microfluidics channels, integrated optical sensors. From this we constructed complex systems, e.g. a fluorescence activated cell separator. We developed the method of optically controlled electroosmosis. Here the fluid is driven by electric field and this is controlled by light. This is an interesting phenomenon, and is opens new possibilities in the control of microfluidics systems
