This paper investigates a damped stochastic wave equation driven by a non-Gaussian Levy noise. The weak solution is proved to exist and be unique. Moreover we show the existence of a unique invariant measure associated with the transition semigroup under mild conditions.Comment: 17 page

Small RNA Sequencing Reveals Exosomal miRNAs Involved in the Treatment of Asthma by Scorpio and Centipede

Asthma is a common respiratory disease with inflammation in the lungs. Exosomes and microRNAs (miRNAs) play crucial role in inflammation, whereas the role of exosomal miRNA in asthma remains unknown. Here, we aimed to identify the key exosomal miRNAs and their underlying mechanisms involved in scorpio and centipede (SC) treatment in asthma. Eighteen mice were randomly divided into three groups: control group, asthma group, and SC treatment group. Effect of SC was assessed by hematoxylin-eosin staining and real-time PCR. Exosomes from asthma and SC treatment groups were analyzed by small RNA-seq. Results revealed SC significantly alleviated the pathogenesis of asthma and suppressed the release of inflammatory cytokines. A total of 328 exosomal miRNAs were differentially expressed between the exosomes from asthma and SC-treated mice, including 118 up- and 210 downregulated in SC-treated mice. The altered exosomal miRNAs were primarily involved in the function of transcription, apoptotic process, and cell adhesion; and pathway of calcium, Wnt, and MAPK signaling. Real-time PCR verified exosomal miR-147 was downregulated, while miR-98-5p and miR-10a-5p were upregulated in SC-treated mice compared to asthma mice. Moreover, the target genes of miR-147-3p, miR-98-5p, and miR-10a-5p were mainly enriched in Wnt and MAPK inflammatory signaling. miR-10a-5p promoted the proliferation of mouse lung epithelial cells and downregulated the expression of Nfat5 and Map2k6. These data suggest SC-induced exosomal miRNAs might mediate the inflammatory signaling and might be involved in the SC treatment in asthma. The exosomal miRNAs might be promising candidates for the treatment of asthma

A New Model of Ultrasonic Guided Wave Propagation in Blood Vessels and Its Propagation Characteristics

The identification of a blood vessel’s elastic properties by an ultrasonic guided wave mainly depends on the accurate propagation characteristics, which are obtained by solving the problem of elastic mechanics based on a thin-plate model. However, this method cannot accurately predict the characteristics for low frequencies. Since blood vessels are of a tubular structure, a hollow-cylinder model, constructed to model blood vessels, is proposed in this paper. Based on this model, the propagation characteristics and dispersion curves of the ultrasonic guided wave propagating along the axial direction are studied by expanding the state equation using Legendre polynomials. A detailed comparison between the results of the proposed model and the thin-layer-based model is presented. It is shown that the dispersion curves of the L (0,1) modes, calculated by the two different models, are a match for high frequencies but differ for low frequencies. The dispersion curve of the L (0,1) mode calculated by the proposed model is in good agreement with the results of the reported experiments. Then, the relationship between the propagation characteristics of ultrasonic guided waves and Young’s modulus is studied. It is discovered that the phase velocity and group velocity are significantly affected by Young’s modulus close to the cutoff frequency, which has important implications for the selection of the detection frequency to the characteristic parameter of vascular

Using Fuzzy Cognitive Map to Effectively Classify E-Documents and Application *

Abstract. In the current Web, e-document has been the most common vehicle for delivering and exchanging information. As the amount of e-documents has grown enormously, effective classification facilities are urgently needed to classify and query e-documents users want. In this paper, we propose a method to classify e-documents into a set of predefined categories based on Fuzzy Cognitive Map (FCM). The e-documents are collected from Internet by a metasearch engine. FCM has been employed to capture the semantic relationships between keywords of e-documents. Experiments with a set of local e-documents have proved that this approach has high performance and can help users getting the e-documents efficiently and effectively. The proposed method has been implemented and integrated into the Dunhuang Feitian System to manage and classify e-documents.
