    Ikääntyneiden ravitsemuksen oppimateriaalin tuottaminen Eksoten henkilöstölle Moodleen

    Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön aiheena oli ikääntyvien ravitsemus. Työn tavoitteena oli suunnitella ja toteuttaa ikääntyvien ravitsemuksen oppimateriaali Moodle verkko-oppimisalustalle Etelä-Karjalan sosiaali- ja terveyspiirin henkilöstön käyttöön. Lisäksi suunniteltiin ja valmistettiin intro-video, joka johdatteli ja herätti kiinnostuksen aiheeseen. Lisäksi tuotettiin tietovisa-tyyppinen kolmen vaihtoehdon kysymyssarja diojen aiheista. Kurssin sisältö koostui PowerPoint-esityksistä, joiden aiheet olivat: ravitsemus ja ikääntyminen, kuidut, D- vitamiinisuositukset, vitamiinit, muistisairaan ravitsemus,ikääntyneen ravitsemusongelmat, juominen ja nestetasapaino sekä Milloin syödään? – käytännönläheisiä vinkkejä muistisairaan kotihoitoon. Jatkossa voisi tutkia, kuinka sähköisen oppimisalustan saisi juurrutettua paremmin henkilöstön käyttöön sekä selvittää kurssin käytön esteet, jotta ne voitaisiin poistaaThe topic of this functional study was elderly nutrition. The objective of the thesis was to design and implement study material about nutrition for the elderly via Moodle eLearning environment for the use of the South Karelia Social and Health Care District staff. In addition an introductory video was designed and produced to spark interest in the topic. Also, a quiz consisting of three option questions based on topics presented in slides was produced. The course content consisted of powerPoint presentations with the following topics: nutrition and aging, fiber, vitamin D recommendations, vitamins,nutrition recommented for a person suffering from a memory disorder, problems with nutrition among the elderly, drinking and fluid balance, as well as When do we eat? - Practical tips for the home care of people suffering from a memory disorder. For further, study it could be recommented to examine how the e-learning platform could be anchored in better use for the staff, as well as to identify the obstacles to the use of the course, so that they could be removed

    Promotion of Bone Regeneration by CCN2 Incorporated into Gelatin Hydrogel

    CCN family protein 2/connective tissue growth factor (CCN2/CTGF) is a unique molecule that promotes the entire endochondral ossification process and regeneration of damaged articular cartilage. Also, CCN2 has been shown to enhance the adhesion and migration of bone marrow stromal cells as well as the growth and differentiation of osteoblasts; hence, its utility in bone regeneration has been suggested. Here, we evaluated the effect of CCN2 on the regeneration of an intractable bone defect in a rat model. First, we prepared two recombinant CCN2s of different origins, and the one showing the stronger effect on osteoblasts in vitro was selected for further evaluation, based on the result of an in vitro bioassay. Next, to obtain a sustained effect, the recombinant CCN2 was incorporated into gelatin hydrogel that enabled the gradual release of the factor. Evaluation in vivo indicated that CCN2 continued to be released at least for up to 14 days after its incorporation. Application of the gelatin hydrogel-CCN2 complex, together with a collagen scaffold to the bone defect prepared in a rat femur resulted in remarkable induction of osteoblastic mineralization markers within 2 weeks. Finally, distinct enhancement of bone regeneration was observed 3 weeks after the application of the complex. These results confirm the utility of CCN2 in the regeneration of intractable bone defects in vivo when the factor is incorporated into gelatin hydrogel

    OryzaExpress: An Integrated Database of Gene Expression Networks and Omics Annotations in Rice

    Similarity of gene expression profiles provides important clues for understanding the biological functions of genes, biological processes and metabolic pathways related to genes. A gene expression network (GEN) is an ideal choice to grasp such expression profile similarities among genes simultaneously. For GEN construction, the Pearson correlation coefficient (PCC) has been widely used as an index to evaluate the similarities of expression profiles for gene pairs. However, calculation of PCCs for all gene pairs requires large amounts of both time and computer resources. Based on correspondence analysis, we developed a new method for GEN construction, which takes minimal time even for large-scale expression data with general computational circumstances. Moreover, our method requires no prior parameters to remove sample redundancies in the data set. Using the new method, we constructed rice GENs from large-scale microarray data stored in a public database. We then collected and integrated various principal rice omics annotations in public and distinct databases. The integrated information contains annotations of genome, transcriptome and metabolic pathways. We thus developed the integrated database OryzaExpress for browsing GENs with an interactive and graphical viewer and principal omics annotations (http://riceball.lab.nig.ac.jp/oryzaexpress/). With integration of Arabidopsis GEN data from ATTED-II, OryzaExpress also allows us to compare GENs between rice and Arabidopsis. Thus, OryzaExpress is a comprehensive rice database that exploits powerful omics approaches from all perspectives in plant science and leads to systems biology

    石狩市の地産地消における福祉事業所利用者 (障がい者) への就労支援

    石狩市では、消費者の食の安全・安心や健康への関心の高まりにより、"地産地消の推進"が図られている。平成24年度の本学のゼミ活動において、石狩産小麦を用いた商品「いしかりベーグル」の開発及び加工販売を行うことにより、地域への貢献の可能性を示すことができた。その後の「いしかりベーグル」の発展・継続について勘案していたところ、福祉事業サムリブより加工販売引継の要請があった。石狩市では障がい者就労支援の取り組みが行われているが、地域の大学生が、直接福祉事業所利用者に製造技術を支援した例はみられない。利用者が技術を身につけ自己の確立に寄与できることは有意義であり、本研究では、「いしかりベーグル」のレシピ譲渡とともに、利用者の製造技術獲得への支援をすることを目的とした。その結果、石狩産小麦を用いたベーグルのレシピ譲渡・利用者の製造技術獲得ができたことで地産地消活動の拡大に貢献することが可能となった

    北海道産クロテッドクリームの品質に及ぼす冷凍の影響

    本研究は、クロテッドクリームの品質に及ぼす冷凍ならびに糖類添加による影響について検討した。実験方法は、冷凍および解凍時の温度履歴、色調の測定、示差走査熱量分析、粘度測定、官能検査である。1. クロテッドクリームの冷凍時間は無糖が短く、ソルビトール、グラニュー糖の順に長くなった。解凍時間は糖類添加に比べて無糖が長くなった。2. 色調はクロテッドクリームの解凍後、いずれも冷凍前に比べてグラフは右・下方向に移行し、明るさを示す明度の減少と彩度の増加が認められた。3. 吸熱エンタルピー(ΔH)は無糖が3.5mJ/mg、グラニュー糖添加3.5mJ/mg、ソルビトール添加11.2mJ/mg であった。ソルビトール添加が無糖よりも大きくなり、熱に対する安定性が示唆された。4. 粘度変化率は、無糖が最も大きく、次いで、グラニュー糖添加、ソルビトール添加の順になった。5. 官能検査は冷凍・解凍クロテッドクリームの評点が0.4~0.5点であった。冷凍保存において糖類添加することはクロテッドクリームの品質を保つ有効な手段であることが明らかとなった。This study examined the effects of freezing or the addition of sugar on the quality of clotted cream. The experimental method included the following steps; temperature history with regard to freezing and thawing, measurement of color tone, differential scanning calorimetry, viscometric measurement and sensory inspection. 1. Sugar-free clotted cream froze in the shortest time, followed by sorbitolcontaining cream, and granulated sugar-containing cream. On the other hand, the thawing time for sugar-free cream was longer than that for sugar-containing cream. 2. All graphs of color tone showed a shift to the lower right after thawing compared to before freezing,and a decrease in brightness together with an increase in saturation was observed. 3. Endothermic enthalpy was 3.5mJ/mg for sugar-free cream, 3.5mJ/mg for granulated sugar-containing cream, and 11.2mJ/mg for sorbitol-containing cream. The figure for sorbitol-containing cream was larger than that of sugar-free cream, which suggested that sorbitol-containing cream has thermal stability. 4. The rate of change in viscosity for sugar-free cream was the largest among samples tested, followed by granulated sugar-containing cream, and sorbitolcontaining cream. 5. Sensory inspection revealed a preference for granulated sugar-containing cream. This indicates that the addition of sugar is an effective measure for maintaining the quality of clotted cream in frozen storage

    ハンセン病国賠訴訟熊本判決から10年が経過し、この間、ハンセン病国賠訴訟全国原告団協議会・全国ハンセン病療養所入所者協議・ハンセン病国賠訴訟弁護団らが、毎年厚生労働省との定期協議を粘り強く続けているが、ハンセン病問題には、まだまだ解決せずに残されている課題が多数ある。2011年12月ならびに2012年2月25日~26日、国立療養所松丘保養園(青森県)を事務局の2人(浅川・菊地)で訪問した。今回は、2回にわたり、国立療養所松丘保養園を訪問し、園内見学や回復者との懇談、将来構想について自治会長や北海道民会長にお聞きした内容を報告したいと思う。On February 24, 2012, two staff members of the secretariat visited Matsuoka Hoyo-en Sanatorium located in Aomori City. Also on December, 2011, two staff members visited there. This time, we would like to report on a tour of a resource center, and what some recovered patients, including people from Hokkaido, talked to us about at the two visits. Matsuoka Hoyo-en sanatorium was started with 90 beds and it was called "The Northern Leprosarium of Second Division". It opened on April 1st in 1909. It was established and operated by the local governments of all the six prefectures of the Tohoku region and the Hokkaido
