    絶食後の種々の糖質摂取が筋肉および肝臓のグリコーゲン量に及ぼす影響

The mice were dosed with several sugars (glucose, maltose, starch, sucrose, lactose) by ingestion after fast for 24 hours, and the changes of blood sugar level, glycogen concentration in the liver and muscle were examined according to time-schedule. The level of glycogen in muscle by the fast for 24 hours was consumed more than the ones of blood-sugar and liver-glycogen. The level of blood sugar was recovered immediately after dose of sugars by ingestion, and the synthesis of liver-glycogen and muscle-glycogen were followed. The synthesis of muscle-glycogen after recovery of blood sugar by glycogen-dose was more remarkable than others

This is a basic study for producing of animal model of glycogen-loading using mice. We investigated about effects of fasting and exercise on blood-sugar level, glycogen levels of the muscle and liver. One and two-days fasting significantly increased in hematocrit and decreased in blood-sugar level. A swimming in 20℃ to make a study of variation of muscle-glycogen in mice was better than 35℃. The gluteus maximus muscle and biceps femoris muscle for mass and the gastrocnemius muscle for separation were good for a sample muscle of exercise-loading

Thin films of 1,6-di(N-carbazolyl)-2,4-hexadiyne (DCHD) grown epitaxially on (0 0 1) surface of KCl through vacuum-deposition were examined on their polymerization process induced by heat treatment. The structural changes due to polymerization in the films were investigated by electron diffraction and high resolution (HREM) cryo-TEM

In the process of endourological development a variety of foreign bodies have been invented besides urinary catheters, on which biofilm can be formed. Bacteria in the biofilm are less susceptible to antibiotics. An additional problem of medical biomaterials in the urinary tract environment is the development of encrustation and consecutive obstruction. The most promising prevention strategy for bacterial biofilms is the production of materials with anti-adhesive surfaces such as heparin. Although heparin-coated ureteral stents are expensive, they justify their cost. Our studies show that such devices are protected against incrustation and biofilm formation for a longer period of time: 6-12 months, both in vitro and in vivo. © 2004 Elsevier B.V. and the International Society of Chemotherapy.
