    Get PDF
This project features research done on the current technology of mobile application on an android platform as well as performing integration of the mobile app to existing Voice recognition systems and software’s. With the current growth of the mobile application technologies in handheld devices, the workload of human is eased in many ways. Integrating voice recognition abilities that has grown vastly since 1963 will enhance these technologies taking it into another level and spectrum. Voice Recognition not only allows human interaction with computers but also brings in the edge of using such technologies in our daily lives. This project forms a purpose to develop a mobile application that is able to ease the workload in households. The mobile application developed on an Android platform that is integrated with Voice Recognition abilities to allow the user to communicate with the device without the need of using their hands while cooking. The mobile application is designed to contain cooking recipes from various countries and having the ability to view and interact with users during the cooking process. The project research is done in phases and the research and planning stages are completed in FYP 1 followed by the designing and testing of the application in FYP 2. The project follows a thorough method of throwaway prototyping and the system is developed accordingly. Various tests has been performed to measure the accuracy and performance upon a different groups of people and the results have indicated the benefits and necessity of this mobile application and the function of it has proven to accomplish the initial project objectives

India’s Progress On Environmental Sustainable Development Goals: A Review

    Get PDF
Environmental sustainability: ensures that the environment is preserved and used wisely, preventing it from being overused as a resource. Water conservation, the use of renewable energy, encouragement of ecologically friendly transportation, and improvements in green building and architecture are just a few of the variables that impact environmental sustainability. India has repeatedly demonstrated its dedication to environmental protection, climate change mitigation, and a concentration on renewable energy to decarbonize its economy. Different organs of the Indian government like the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), MoEFCC ( the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change), and MoHI (the Ministry of Heavy Industries scheme to promote electric vehicles) along with others, have been the main driving forces behind India’s effort in this direction because no single ministry is responsible for moving India towards net zero. Policymakers and business executives can invest in least-cost energy solutions, secure and resilient energy systems, efficiency and competitiveness, and social and environmental equity to drive short-term recovery and long-term resilience for India’s better, greener future. This review article gives an insightful analysis of environmental SDGs in India. As a result, the report will offer basic information about India’s Progress on Environmental Sustainable Development Goals. Furthermore, this review paper emphasizes the significance of sustainability in terms of waste management, green cover, technology adoption, financial requirements, etc. The current study also focuses on successfully applying technologies in the Indian subcontinent. Furthermore, education is essential for long-term sustainability in various social, economic, and cultural settings throughout the globe. The broader public’s access to the environment is also crucial

Between ‘the disorderly comfortless home’ and ‘the beau-ideal of domestic comfort’: Domestic Interiors and the Self in three Brontë Novels

Drawing on the work of cultural theorists regarding the impact of domestic surroundings on an inhabitant’s psyche, feelings and states of mind, this dissertation develops the notion that novelists carry forward this association into their fictional creations, in terms of plot and, more specifically, of character. This real, psychological relationship is, at times, a means for advancing a plot in a desired direction, but is also narrative device for dramatically enhancing a character’s responses in a given dramatic situation. The authors’ employment of domestic interiors in relation to their fictional creations, the rooms’contents and their attributes –doors, windows, hearth, furniture –are props in a reflexive relation to those characters, telling a reader more about a character’s behaviour but also about the potential meanings of the domestic items. In this light, this dissertation reinterprets three novels by the Brontë sisters, the main focus being on female characters in their domestic surroundings. Chapter One also discusses the chief male protagonists in Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, and the manner in which they come to embody the nature of their environment. The central text of Chapter Two is Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre, where the eponymous Jane’s reactions to her situations are re-analysed to reflect her relation to her various homes as both fluctuate with the arc of the narrative. Finally, Chapter Three deals with The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Brontë and the various signals embedded in the text to signify the main character’s responses to her changing domestic conditions. As well as uncovering autobiographical dimensions in the novels under discussion, the thesis concludes that the authors employ these dramatic devices –influencing and reflecting behaviour and state of mind –to allow their female characters to develop transgressive coping strategies

A Review on Current Status of Blood Disorder: Thalassemia and its Treatment

    Get PDF
The most prevalent hereditary monogenic disorders that claim millions of lives globally are thalassemic syndromes. A thalassemia is an inherited condition, at least one parent must carry the disease's gene. Perhaps a genetic mutation/ defective globin chain or the loss of specific important gene segments is the main cause. Thalassemic illnesses started to strain the healthcare systems of several nations worldwide. Management of thalassemia is now seen as a lifelong treatment that requires continuous monitoring. In this review, we seek to compile and analyze recent research on thalassemia diagnosis and treatment, including papers, studies, and clinical trials. We also intend to present a concise yet comprehensive study. A thalassemia is an inherited condition, at least one parent must carry the disease's gene. Perhaps a genetic mutation/ defective globin chain or the loss of specific important gene segments is the main cause

Mimicry of native peptide antigens by the corresponding retro-inverso analogs is dependent on their intrinsic structure and interaction propensities

    Get PDF
Retro-inverso (ri) analogs of model T cell and B cell epitopes were predictively designed as mimics and then assayed for activity to understand the basis of functional ri-antigenic peptide mimicry. ri versions of two MHC class I binding peptide epitopes, one from a vesicular stomatitis virus glycoprotein (VSVp) and another from OVA (OVAp), exhibit structural as well as functional mimicry of their native counterparts. The two ri peptides exhibit conformational plasticity and they bind to MHC class I (H-2Kb) similar to their native counterparts both in silico and in vivo. In fact, ri-OVAp is also presented to an OVAp-specific T cell line in a mode similar to native OVAp. In contrast, the ri version of an immunodominant B cell peptide epitope from a hepatitis B virus protein, PS1, exhibits no structural or functional correlation with its native counterpart. PS1 and its ri analog do not exhibit similar conformational propensities. PS1 is less flexible relative to its ri version. These observed structure-function relationships of the ri-peptide epitopes are consistent with the differences in recognition properties between peptide-MHC vs peptide-Ab binding where, while the recognition of the epitope by MHC is pattern based, the exquisitely specific recognition of Ag by Ab arises from the high complementarity between the Ag and the binding site of the Ab. It is evident that the correlation of conformational and interaction propensities of native L-peptides and their ri counterparts depends both on their inherent structural properties and on their mode of recognition
