Behaviour of Charged Collapsing Fluids after Hydrostatic Equilibrium in R^n Gravity

The purpose of this paper is to study the transport equation and its coupling with Maxwell equation in the framework of R^n gravity. Using Muller-Israel-Stewart theory for the conduction of dissipative fluids, we analyze the temperature, heat flux, viscosity and thermal conductivity in the scenario of relaxation time. All these thermodynamical variables are appeared in the form of a single factor whose influence is discussed on the evolution of relativistic model for the heat conducting collapsing star.Comment: Accepted for publication in European Physical Journal

Traditional communities that live side by side with forest have institutions that regulate the relationship between humans and humans and humans with nature. The Talang Mamak tribe is a traditional community that still lives in and around the Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park (TNBT) area. This study aims to identify the application of sustainable local institutional principles by the Talang Mamak Tribe in managing forest resources. Collecting data using observation methods, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. Sampling using snowball sampling method. Data analysis was carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner, and identified sustainable local institutions based on sustainable institutional principles designed by Ostrom. The results showed that the sustainable institutional principles applied in forest resources management by the Talang Mamak Tribe include: the rules of the technology used, conformity to local conditions, collective institutional arrangements, supervision, sanctions, conflict resolution mechanisms, recognition of management rights, and linkages with higher institutional levels. There are some rules that need to be clarified in the current local institutions because they do not regulate the time for utilization area, number of resource unit, and user limits

Disaster handling policy in order to community empowerment at disaster-vulnerable region of East Java Province

Management policy of disaster handling at East Java Province is still poor. Therefore, it is necessary to gain new paradigma concerning disaster handling management in order to face this problems. Community-based disaster handling, that is, ward self-independent, self recognizing hazard in its neighborhood and self-aid ability of the community is an urgent sleeps that needs to be considered toward creating sustainability if disaster occure in the near future. There is no other alternatives for East Java Regional government, at this moment other than formulate natural disaster handling management policy that concist of comprehensive, integrative, and based on the community, also concern with optimization of related bureaucracies in handling natural disaster. Objectives of this study is to found any guideline or disaster handling management policy model at East Java Province, particularly in giving basic or minimum services at disaster-vulnerable regions. Nature of this study is qualitative descriptive using grounded theory and Baysian Approach. Data collection was conducted using in-depth interview, FGD, observation, and documentation of nearly 8 months at Jember Regency and Malang Regency, both as representatives of disaster-vulnerable region at East Java Province. Result of this study is bureaucratic role in handling natural disaster at disaster-vulnerable regions of East Java Province still not optimal since natural disaster handling management policy is still instructive in nature, therefore basic services are still not implemented good enough. Cooperation between region and between sectors i still poor. those, it is necessary to gain natural disaster handling management policy model at disaster-vulnerable region related with institutionalization and its handling at disaster-vulnerable region of East Java Province

Comparative Analysis of Ethnic Minority Occupational Attainments in the UK 2014-2018

The integration and assimilation of ethnic minority immigrants (EMIs) and their subsequent generations remains a serious unsettled issue in most of the host countries. This study conducts the labour market gender analysis to investigate specifically whether second generation of ethnic minority immigrants in the UK is gaining access to professional and managerial employment and advantaged occupational positions on par with their native counterparts. The data used to examine the labour market achievements of EMIs is taken from Labour Force Survey (LFS) for the period 2014-2018. We apply a multivalued treatment under ignorability and report estimates of Average Treatment Effect (ATE), Average Treatment Effect on the Treated (ATET) and Potential Outcomes Means (POM) using three estimators including the Regression Adjustment (RA), Augmented Inverse Probability Weighting (AIPW) and Inverse Probability Weighting- Regression Adjustment (IPWRA). We consider two cases: the case with four categories where the first-generation natives are the base category, the second case combine all natives as a base group. Our findings suggest the following. Under Case 1, the estimated probabilities and differences across groups are consistently similar and highly significant. As expected, first generation natives have the highest probability for higher career attainment among both men and women. The findings also suggest that first generation immigrants perform better than the remaining two groups including the second-generation natives and immigrants. Furthermore, second generation immigrants have higher probability to attain higher professional career, while this is lower for managerial career. Similar conclusions are reached under Case 2. That is to say that both first – generation and second – generation immigrants have lower probability for higher career and managerial attainment. First – generation immigrants are found to perform better than second – generation immigrants
