Extremism propagation in social networks with hubs

One aspect of opinion change that has been of academic interest is the impact of people with extreme opinions (extremists) on opinion dynamics. An agent-based model has been used to study the role of small-world social network topologies on general opinion change in the presence of extremists. It has been found that opinion convergence to a single extreme occurs only when the average number of network connections for each individual is extremely high. Here, we extend the model to examine the effect of positively skewed degree distributions, in addition to small-world structures, on the types of opinion convergence that occur in the presence of extremists. We also examine what happens when extremist opinions are located on the well-connected nodes (hubs) created by the positively skewed distribution. We find that a positively skewed network topology encourages opinion convergence on a single extreme under a wider range of conditions than topologies whose degree distributions were not skewed. The importance of social position for social influence is highlighted by the result that, when positive extremists are placed on hubs, all population convergence is to the positive extreme even when there are twice as many negative extremists. Thus, our results have shown the importance of considering a positively skewed degree distribution, and in particular network hubs and social position, when examining extremist transmission

Совершенствование маркетинговой стратегии предприятия

Цель настоящей работы – разработка рекомендаций, направленных на совершенствование существующей маркетинговой стратегии организации (ООО Эндорфин). Основные задачи: изучить теоретические аспекты маркетинговой стратегии; дать краткую организационно-экономическую характеристику организации, изучить действующую маркетинговую стратегию организации; разработать рекомендации по совершенствованию маркетинговой стратегии. В рамках исследование применялись такие методы исследования как анализ, синтез, сравнение, опрос и др. В результате исследования были выявлены слабые места маркетинговой стратегией организации и предложены мероприятия по ее совершенствованию. Область применения: результаты данной работы представляется возможным применять в процессе маркетинговой деятельности предприятия.The aim of the work is to develop recommendations for improvement of current marketing strategy of the organization (OOO Endorfin). Objectives of the work are to study theoretical aspects of a marketing strategy; to characterize organizational and economic structure of the organization; to study its current marketing strategy; to develop recommendations for improvement of current marketing strategy. Such methods as analysis, synthesis, comparison, survey and more have been applied within the framework of studies. As a result of the study the weaknesses of the current marketing strategy have been identified and the recommendations for its improvement have been developed. Field of application: the results of this work can be applied for the purpose of developing a marketing strategy

Разработка поточного варианта радиоизотопного анализатора серы в нефти с функцией плотномера

Данная работа посвящена разработке поточного анализатора содержания серы в нефти и нефтепродуктах РЕТРАН. В работе проведен сравнительный анализ имеющихся аналогов, метрологических и технологических характеристик. Описан метод лежащий в основе предлагаемого анализатора. Представлены полученные экспериментальные результаты проведенных испытаний разрабатываемого анализатора. Предлагаемый анализатор не будет уступать существующим аналогам по экономической эффективности, точности измерений и простоте обслуживания.This work is devoted to the development of a flow analyzer for sulfur content in oil and petroleum products RETRAN. A comparative analysis of the available analogs, metrological and technological characteristics is carried out in the work. The method underlying the proposed analyzer is described. The obtained experimental results of the tests of the developed analyzer are presented. The proposed analyzer will not be inferior to existing analogues in terms of cost effectiveness, measurement accuracy and ease of maintenance

Разработка математической модели реактора каталитического крекинга

В результате проведенных исследований была разработана модель реактора каталитического крекинга, в основу которой положены химические закономерности протекания реакций каталитического крекинга на цеолитсодержащем катализаторе и гидродинамический режим работы реактор, а так же разработана модель колонны разделения продуктов каталитического крекинга. Проведенные на разработанной модели реактора расчеты позволили спрогнозировать выход продуктов крекинга в зависимости от состава перерабатываемого сырья и технологического режима работы реактора каталитического крекинга и позволили рекомендовать технологические режимы для увеличения выхода бензиновой фракции в зависимости от состава перерабатываемого сырья.As a result of the research the model of catalytic cracking reactor was developed, which is based on regularities of chemical reactions on catalytic cracking zeolite catalyst and a hydrodynamic mode of the reactor, as well as developed a model of separation column of catalytic cracking products. Calculations are carried on the developed model reactor allow to predict the output of cracking products, depending on the composition of the feedstock and the technological operation mode of the catalytic cracking reactor and allowed to recommend technological modes to increase the yield of gasoline fraction depending on the composition of the feedstock

Объект исследования - университетский дискурс. Цель работы — выявление особенностей лингвостилистической организации дискурсивной стратегии продвижения на сайтах вузов РФ и КНР. В процессе исследования проводились дискурсивный, лингвистический, стилистический, сопоставительный анализ коммуникативной стратегии продвижения вузов. В результате исследования были выявлены лингвистические и стилистические особенности оформления жанров сайтов вузов, реализующих стратегию продвижения, проведен сопоставительный анализ, выработаны рекомендации по переводу. Область применения: переводческая практика переводов и разработки внешних версий сайтов вузов. Экономическая эффективность/значимость работы заключается в предоставлении рекомендаций по переводу сайтов в аспекте продвижения вуза.Object of research: university discourse. Lymphocyte subsets and the role of Th1/Th2 balance in stressed chronic pain patients

Background: The complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and fibromyalgia (FM) are chronic pain syndromes occurring in highly stressed individuals. Despite the known connection between the nervous system and immune cells, information on distribution of lymphocyte subsets under stress and pain conditions is limited. Methods: We performed a comparative study in 15 patients with CRPS type I, 22 patients with FM and 37 age- and sex-matched healthy controls and investigated the influence of pain and stress on lymphocyte number, subpopulations and the Th1/Th2 cytokine ratio in T lymphocytes. Results: Lymphocyte numbers did not differ between groups. Quantitative analyses of lymphocyte subpopulations showed a significant reduction of cytotoxic CD8+ lymphocytes in both CRPS (p < 0.01) and FM (p < 0.05) patients as compared with healthy controls. Additionally, CRPS patients were characterized by a lower percentage of IL-2-producing T cell subpopulations reflecting a diminished Th1 response in contrast to no changes in the Th2 cytokine profile. Conclusions: Future studies are warranted to answer whether such immunological changes play a pathogenetic role in CRPS and FM or merely reflect the consequences of a pain-induced neurohumoral stress response, and whether they contribute to immunosuppression in stressed chronic pain patients. Разрабатываемая информационная система состоит из web-сервисов, интегрируемых с сервисом цифрового распространения программного обеспечения UTS Marketplace и кроссплатформенного desktop-клиента UTS Launcher. Результаты работы позволят в значительной мере автоматизировать бизнес-процессы компании ООО "Универсальные терминал системы".The work is devoted to the design and development of an information system for automating licensing and software delivery processes to customer devices, its timely updating and monitoring of its execution. The developed information system consists of web services that are integrated with the UTS Marketplace software digital distribution service and the UTS Launcher cross-platform desktop client. The results of the work will significantly automate the business processes of the company Universal Terminal Systems LLC
