    Helicopter Approach to Offshore Objects

    Get PDF
This article is focused on the helicopter approach to landing on offshore objects. It describes helicopter approaches and specially designed approaches for the sea. The evaluation of safety in aviation is shown with applications to SOAP approach as well. The helicopter approach to the landing can be considered as part of aviation, which has long been neglected because helicopters are represented only by a minuscule percentage in the overall volume of civil aviation. Because of this, the approach procedures were not designed especially for helicopters, but this type of aircraft with a vertical take-off and landing has irreplaceable role in certain operating situations

Reports about Occurrence of Events with Effect on Aviation Safety

This article deals with a system, that is established to report the events with effect on safety. This system is based on requirements published in Annex 13 to the Chicago Convention and legislative foundations laid down in Regulation L13, Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No 376/2014, Decree No. 359/2006 Sb. and Act No. 49/1997 Sb. Standards and legislative rules precisely define the types of events that are subject of reporting and also define the structure and content of the reporting message. This content is consists mainly of the identification data about the airplane and crew, information about the route and a short description of the damage to the airplane. In the following, we discuss the possible use of such a system of mandatory reporting for the needs of safety indicators. Then there are proposals of changes in the content of the reporting message for the need of safety indicators. The present knowledge indicates that the use of all opportunities provided by the law for the reporting of events can lead to a creating of sufficient basis for safety indicators

Increase of the Effective Production of Crankshafts for Ship Engines

    Get PDF
The paper elaborates on the problem on theoretical and practical level. Results of research were used as a background during realization of this technology in company Vítkovice HEAVY MACHINERY A.S. Analysis of current manufacturing technology of the final product is described, its specification, reaching of economic benefits and realization methods. Geometrical and mathematical model of the crankshaft and adjusting algorithm of computer simulation were made to design the wireless measurement systems or crankshaft breathing, design of the steady’s control system and marine drives. This method eliminates eventual failures in time of realization, respectively minimizes costs in connection with repairs and modifications of the equipment during commissioning and testing. In conclusion, testing, verification of prototype functions of the steadies control system and comparative laboratory measurement with reality are described

Application of Clark and Wright´s Savings Algorithm Model to Solve Routing Problem in Supply Logistics

    Get PDF
Distribution logistics is an inseparable part of a logistics chain. It starts at the moment of a finished product supply to a warehouse of finished products and ends at the moment of its delivery to a final customer. Only a minimal amount of products is supplied directly to the final customer. It is more common to supply the product to the customer indirectly using several distribution degrees. While the product is supplied to the final customer, it is necessary to encompass a whole range of logistics activities. The objective of the article is to highlight the possibility of solving the problem of routing according to Clarke-Wright´s method. It is one of a large number of heuristic methods which solves the problem of vehicle routing

    A Technique for Seabed Mining

    Get PDF
The paper deals with the necessity to look for other potential uses of unconventional sources of raw materials to meet the growing needs of human society. The first part of the paper contains the overview of the materials located in seas and oceans. This part describes the alternatives of mining, the dredging systems for extreme depths and the functional structure of the hoisting mechanism for dredging as well. The second part of the paper describes the future prospects for the extraction of minerals from seas and oceans

MANAGEMENT OF AIRSPACE CAPACITY AROUND UNCONTROLLED AERODROMES

    Get PDF
This article focuses at heavy traffic at uncontrolled aerodromes, which is not dealt with and at the resulting critical situations of it and also with the appropriateness of implementing capacity management in aerodrome traffic zones to increase safety of General Aviation. This paper shows a model for this capacity management and solution for related issues

Optimization of Transport Logistics for Forest Biomass

    Get PDF
The Use of renewable resources on the basis of forest biomass is gradually becoming an international issue. The conditions for the optimal use include solving several technical, technological, economic and environmental problems. The contribution is aimed at solving a role model of optimization of forest biomass transport in the conditions of the School forestry enterprise of the Technical University in Zvolen. The solution is based on the algorithm-based working software the MODI mathematical methods. For the purposes of optimization, the following criteria have been selected: time consumption per 1 m3, cost per 1 m3 and fuel consumption per 1 m3. In total, 5995 m3 of forest biomass is to be transported. Regarding the first criterion, the total optimal solution is 809.62 h, for the second criterion, the optimal value is 8871.15 € and for the third one it is 1.43 l.m-3. The evaluated criteria are a partial solution of the transport problem optimization. What is important are also the links to technological background, anthropometric parameters of service and international trade, and connection to water transport in the case of REALIZACE OBCHODU with intercontinental trade partners
