Consumer purchase behaviour for green products

    Get PDF
Purpose: The concern for climate change and global warming is increasing at global level which results in stimulating the interest of firms toward environmental protection and sustainable development. Many firms have started developing green products to meet the demand of environmentally conscious consumers. These firms are now interested in finding the determinants of environmentally conscious consumers’ behaviour in order to develop effective marketing strategy to ensure the green purchase commitments. Methodology: Demographic factors, psychographic factors, environmental awareness, environmental concern, price & quality of the green products, Perceived Consumer Effectiveness (PCE), environmental attitude, information, promotional activity, and availability, are major factors in motivating one’s behavioural change to engage in environmental behaviour. These factors have been tested in the past, but they have never been tested together in the context of green purchase behaviour of consumers in Central India. Therefore, this paper reviews the conceptual and empirical literatures of the abovementioned variables in explaining the green purchase behaviour. To indentify the factors which influence the consumer purchase behaviour for green products, factor analysis has been used. Data Collection: And convenient sampling method was used to collect the data from the five major cities of Madhya Pradesh. Over 650 questionnaires were circulated out of which a total of 390 questionnaires were considered for the final research purpose with 5 % error of margin and 5 % level of significance. Finding: The research has came out with seven major factors, (1. Awareness & Concern, 2. Price & Quality, 3. PCE, 4. Information, 5. Attitude, 6. Promotional activity, and 7. Information), which influence the green purchase behaviour in central India.peer-reviewe

Low Profile Wideband Dual-Ring Slot Antenna for Biomedical Applications

    Get PDF
In this study, a low-profile, co-planar waveguide (CPW) fed, wideband, and dual-ring slot antenna design for biomedical applications is proposed. The proposed antenna has a total area of 10 mm × 10 mm and a height of 0.4 mm, and is designed by using a thin and biocompatible FR4 epoxy (εr = 4.4) substrate to accomplish human body isolation and great flexibility obtained by implantation. This wideband antenna covers a large bandwidth of industrial scientific and medical (ISM) frequency band, including 902.8 MHz to 928 MHz, 1.395 GHz to 1.4 GHz, 1.427 GHz to 1.432 GHz, 2.4 GHz to 2.485 GHz, and above. The simulation results of return loss, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), impedance matching, gain, and radiation pattern of the proposed antenna are obtained through High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) 14 software

An Experimental Investigation of the Effects of Diesel-Ethanol Blends on the Noise and Vibrations of a Diesel Engine

    Get PDF
This study performed a noise and vibration analysis of a single-cylinder diesel engine with 5, 10, and 15% ethanol concentration in diesel fuel at 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100% load and a constant engine speed of 1500rpm. Vibrations were measured at the cylinder head in the horizontal, vertical, and axial directions. The frequency and octave spectrums were obtained using an FFT analyzer. The results revealed that the E5D95 blend had significantly less vibration and noise than the E10D90 and E15D85 blends. The vibration level was minimum at 20% load and maximum at 100% load in the vertical, horizontal, and axial directions, while the highest noise level was observed for E15D85

Impact of Advertising on Branding in Small Towns and Villages of India

    Get PDF
The consumer base for the Indian rural and semi-urban markets has been largely ignored by advertising practices. Specifically, the personal care products and their advertising practises are influenced by personality and individual perceptions. This paper reports the observations of the study conducted to identify the impact of advertising practices on branding of personal care products. It was found that advertising, suitability of content and advertisement media have no significant impact on the branding of personal care products in small towns and villages of India.     &nbsp

Evaluation Of Thermo Hydraulic Performance Of Passive And Compound Inserts

In the present investigation, the heat transfer and pressure drop performance of a tube in tube heat exchanger fitted with Bakelite helical screw tape and aluminum hemispherical cup shape with threaded core rod insert is experimentally reported for turbulent flow in individual and compound insertion cases. Performance is evaluated using water in the Reynolds number range of 8000 to 32000. For helical screw tape, the average Nusselt number ratios for augmented tube case to plain tube case (Nua/Nup) were found to be ranging between 2.51 – 2.7 along with average friction factor ratios (fa/ fp) ranging between 4.12 – 4.13. For cup shape inserts, the average Nusselt number ratios for augmented tube case to plain tube case (Nua/Nup) were reported between 1.38 – 1.62 along with friction factor ratios (fa/ fp) ranging between 4.93 – 5.44 . The average Nusselt number ratios (Nua/Nup) and friction factor ratios (fa/ fp) for two compound insertion cases are also reported by varying the cross-section of inserts for 1/3rd length of the heat exchanger and observed in the range of 2.26 – 2.65, and 4.06 – 4.8 respectively. For equal pumping power criteria, the average performance ratios (Nua/Nuc) are reported in the range of 1.02 -1.11 for helical screw tape, 0.6 – 0.67 for cup shape insert and 0.99 – 1.22 for two compound insertion caes

Register Using Double Edge Triggered D Flip Flop

    No full text
Edge Triggered Flip Flops are bistable flip-flop circuits in which data is latched at rising and falling edge of the clock signal. Using Double Edge Triggered D-Flip flop using NMOS transistor permits the data processing rate to be preserved while using lower clock frequency. Therefore, power consumption in DETFF based circuits can be reduced. And design shift register (siso, sipo) using double edge triggered d flip flop. Keywords-- DETFF, delay, PDP, shift registers. I

A Comparative Study of Pollution Levels in Major Cities of India During Covid-19 in India

    Get PDF
This paper aims to study the major pollutants of the four metro cities of India before and after covid 19 first wave. The cities considered for the study are Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. The major pollutants considered for the study are PM2.5, PM10, NO, NO2, NOx, SO2, CO, and Ozone. The basic aim of the study is to find the effect of lockdown and covid restrictions on the level of pollutants across the four major cities of India. We used both parametric and non-parametric tests for the analysis using SPSS. From the study, it is clear that there is a significant decrease in all the major pollutants across India\u27s major cities

Comparative Performance of LSTM and ARIMA for the Short-Term Prediction of Bitcoin Prices

    Get PDF
This research assesses the prediction of Bitcoin prices using the autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) and long-short-term memory (LSTM) models. We forecast the price of Bitcoin for the following day using the static forecast method, with and without re-estimating the forecast model at each step. We take two different training and test samples into consideration for the cross-validation of forecast findings. In the first training sample, ARIMA outperforms LSTM, but in the second training sample, LSTM exceeds ARIMA. Additionally, in the two test-sample forecast periods, LSTM with model re-estimation at each step surpasses ARIMA. Comparing LSTM to ARIMA, the forecasts were much closer to the actual historical prices. As opposed to ARIMA, which could only track the trend of Bitcoin prices, the LSTM model was able to predict both the direction and the value during the specified time period. This research exhibits LSTM\u27s persistent capacity for fluctuating Bitcoin price prediction despite the sophistication of ARIMA
