BEGINNING PIANO METHODS OF RUSSIAN TRADITION: AN ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF THE RUSSIAN SCHOOL OF PIANO PLAYING BY A. NIKOLAEV

With the purpose of helping other piano teachers diversify teaching approaches, this research paper will explore one of the most famous Russian piano methods – The Russian School of Piano Playing by Alexander Nikolaev. The findings will cover the structure of the Russian Music Education system and its purpose before discussing the method’s introduction and evolution of pertinent components, such as: proficient musical memory; ability to read music notation fluently; development of solid proper technique; general musicality; and the cultivation of expressive playing based on mindful interpretations. These elements are developed simultaneously and with calculated balance. This method was first published in 1951, during the era of the USSR, and it serves as an introduction to the Russian music school

Road Pavement Crack Detection Using Deep Learning with Synthetic Data

Robust automatic pavement crack detection is critical to automated road condition evaluation. Manual crack detection is extremely time-consuming. Therefore, an automatic road crack detection method is required to boost this process. This study makes literature review of detection issues of road pavement's distress. The paper considers the existing datasets for detection and segmentation distress of road and asphalt pavement. The work presented in this article focuses on deep learning approach based on synthetic training data generation for segmentation of cracks in the driver-view image. A synthetic dataset generation method is presented, and effectiveness of its applicability to the current problem is evaluated. The relevance of the study is emphasized by research on pixel-level automatic damage detection remains a challenging problem, due to heterogeneous pixel intensity, complex crack topology, poor illumination condition, and noisy texture background

Image of truth in traditional indian philosophy

Truth is one of the key values in Western culture, and in the History of Western Philosophy it had different images. The position of truth in the History of Indian Philosophy was similar. But sometimes in India it is very difficult to retrace the way from the word ‘truth’ to the philosophical category. In this article are traced main lines of discussions about the truth and principal senses of Indian terms (satya, j¤аna, Dharma, prаmахya). Buddhists were the firsts who introduced the concept of truth, originally in a form of the Four noble truths doctrine then as Mahayana concept of the two truths (conventional and absolute). In Indian tradition, as well as in Western philosophy, truth was considered differently in existential, moral, ontological, soteriological, epistemological and logical perspectives. Indians also distinguished between inferential and semantic concepts of truth. From Western point of view their aspiration to build a theory of the World, which will explain the existence of its different natural and supernatural levels, which are cognizable by rational and super-rational means, brought Indians to paradoxical, contradictory results. Typical example of such contradictory theory of truth can be found in Jaina relative truth doctrine about impermanent and pluralistic reality (syаdvаda or anekаntavаda)

The improvement of road system quality is a critical task. The mechanism to address such important issue is close monitoring of road pavement condition. Traditional approach requires manual identification of damages. Taking into account considerable length of road system it is essential to create an effective automatic pavement defects detection tool. This approach will extremely reduce time for monitoring of current road state. In this paper global experience in solution of detection issues of road pavement's distress is reviewed. The article includes information about the existing datasets of road defects, which are commonly used for detection and segmentation. The present work is based on deep learning approach with the use of synthetic generated training data for segmentation of cracks in driver-view image. The novelty of the approach lies in creating synthetic dataset for training state-of-the-art deep learning frameworks. The relevance of the research is emphasized by processing of wide-view images in which heterogeneous pixel intensity, complex crack topology, different illumination condition and complexity of background make the task challenging

Supply Chain Strategy and Labor Partnership as a National Priority in the Economic Development of Russia

Abstract— Global competition has intensified geographic repositioning of supply chain activities with implications for the economic prosperity of specific regions and geographies affected by such shift. The article reflects the results of studies based on an interdisciplinary approach to the economic development by supply chain strategy and labor partnership. The work is aimed at clarifying the concept of supply chain management and labor partnership as an economic category. Therefore, this concept has been studied through the synthesis of jurisprudence, conflict management, sociology and political science, which allows to identify the economic and microeconomic substances of this phenomenon. The former is considered through the labor market trends and conditions, and quantified in derived parameters of supply chain and social-labor relations depending on it. The latter, as a specific type of management, is formed at the intersection of entrepreneurial, systemic management under limited conditions for self-management model implementation, typical for modern transition to the information, digital economy. Thus, a model of supply chain strategy and labor partnership has been developed as a microeconomic category, implying the impact characteristic of such management tools as investments in human capital, development of corporate culture, adequacy of compensation policies and supply chain responsibility tools, on social capital, considered as a synergistic amount of company’s human capital realized to the full. Additionally, a set of indicators developed in the course of research, and their dynamics can be used to monitor general trends in supply chain and labor partnership as an economic category. Our findings allow expanding the field of research and providing a scientific background for practical tools to improve economic relations

Development of interlaboratory comparison test samples and reference materials for the quality assurance of air composition measurements

Introduction. The article presents an approach to the development of interlaboratory comparison test samples and respective reference materials for use in the metrological assurance of measurements of hazardous substances in the ambient air. Materials and methods. Solid and liquid sorbents, as well as air filters were used in the experiments. Measurement methods comprised photometry, atomic absorption spectrometry, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry. Results. An optimized algorithm for developing multi-purpose test samples that can be used for the metrological assurance of a large number of methods for analysing ambient air is presented. Discussion and conclusions. The described approach has been used to develop test samples for laboratory proficiency testing and respective reference materials, which can be used in the certification of procedures for analysing ambient air quality, calibration of measurement instruments, as well as in the internal and external quality control of results obtained during ambient air quality measurements
