This study involves the synthesis and characterization of Cerium (III) Mixed-ligand complexes employing 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde oxime (BO) as the primary ligand and organic compounds 2-amino-3-(1H-indol-3-yl)propanoic acid (L1) , 2-amino-4-(methylthio)butanoic acid  (L2) , 2-amino-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propanoic acid  (L3) ,  2-Amino-3-sulfhydrylpropanoic acid  (L4) as secondary ligands. The resulting complexes exhibit a brown color and display stability, as evidenced by conductometric measurements indicating non-electrolyte behavior. FTIR analysis reveals coordination through O and N donor atoms, while thermogravimetric studies highlight stability with coordinated water molecules, supported by high decomposition temperatures. UV studies demonstrate intra-ligand and ligand-to-metal charge transfer transitions. Elemental analysis confirms a 1:2:1 ratio for the complexes. Antibacterial assays using agar cup and tube dilution methods affirm the complexes' antibacterial activity against specific bacterial strains

The collection of seeds from the wild is the main source to obtain the stocking material for the cage. This can be carried out when the seed production cost is very high or where the availability of seed from nature is in large quantity. It is important to know the biology of the fish species either to duplicate reproductive condition on the farm or to know when and where to collect the fish. The artificially produced seeds in the hatchery are used widely in cage culture practice all over the world to avoid depletion of stock in the wild. The transportation of the seeds to the culture site plays an important role as maximum mortality occurs during this process because of change in metabolic pattern of the fish due to stress. The appropriate quantity of seeds should be stocked in each cage for obtaining good production. This chapter mainly deals with all these aspects in detail

Navigating the Evolution: A Comprehensive Analysis of Awareness in Contemporary TV Display Technologies

    Get PDF
A display serves as a projecting mechanism that presents video content to the user through technologies such as cathode ray tube (CRT), liquid crystal display (LCD), light-emitting diode (LED), Organic light-emitting diode (OLED), or other projection methods. The global demand for intelligent displays has witnessed a substantial rise, primarily fueled by the increasing popularity of OLED-based devices and technology. Concurrently, the worldwide digital TV subscriptions surpassed one billion in 2017. In our investigation, we aimed to assess the awareness levels among individuals in both rural and urban areas regarding TV display technology. The findings reveal that approximately 79% of urban residents and 44% of rural inhabitants utilize a TV display compatible with their TV subscription. &nbsp

A giant cobia, Rachycentron canadum was landed at Sassoon duck, Mumbai on 18-08-2003 by a gill-netter operated at a distance of 25-30 km south west of Mumbai at the depth of 20-25m.The species is distributed world wide in warm seas except for the eastern pacific regoin. It is pelagic but also found over shallow coral reefs and off rock shores, occasionally enters in estuaries

Performance Evaluation of Vanilla, Residual, and Dense 2D U-Net Architectures for Skull Stripping of Augmented 3D T1-weighted MRI Head Scans

Skull Stripping is a requisite preliminary step in most diagnostic neuroimaging applications. Manual Skull Stripping methods define the gold standard for the domain but are time-consuming and challenging to integrate into processing pipelines with a high number of data samples. Automated methods are an active area of research for head MRI segmentation, especially deep learning methods such as U-Net architecture implementations. This study compares Vanilla, Residual, and Dense 2D U-Net architectures for Skull Stripping. The Dense 2D U-Net architecture outperforms the Vanilla and Residual counterparts by achieving an accuracy of 99.75% on a test dataset. It is observed that dense interconnections in a U-Net encourage feature reuse across layers of the architecture and allow for shallower models with the strengths of a deeper network.Comment: Research Article submitted to the 2nd International Conference on Biomedical Engineering Science and Technology: Roadway from Laboratory to Market, at the National Institute of Technology Raipur, Chhattisgarh, Indi

Biological aspects of spotted seerfish Scomberomorus guttatus (Bloch & Schneider, 1801) (Scombridae) from north-eastern Arabian Sea

    Get PDF
Spotted seerfish Scomberomorus guttatus (Bloch & Schneider, 1801) is one of the highly priced table fishes in India, which contributed 4.7% of all India scombrid fishery with 17,684 t landed in 2014. Its fishery is dominant in the Arabian Sea and northern Arabian Sea contributed 62% to IndiaтАЩs spotted seerfish fishery. Biological information on S. guttatus is scarce and the same was studied during the period 2010-2014 from Maharashtra coast, north-eastern Arabian Sea. A total of 930 specimens (185-550 mm FL) collected from commercial landings were used for the study. Length-weight relation of pooled sexes was estimated as log (W) = -3.1988+2.66074 log (L) (r2 = 0.93). Fishery was dominated by males with the sex ratio of 0.76:1. Relative fecundity ranged from 105-343 eggs g-1 of bodyweight. The length at first maturity (Lm) was estimated to be 410 mm TL for females. Mature and gravid females were dominant in May and August-November. Dietary studies (% IRI) showed dominance of Acetes spp
