Metodologia Teclim Para Uso Racional De água Na Indústria: O Banco De Ideias No Contexto Da Metodologia Front-end Loading

    Get PDF
The bank of ideas (BI) is a TECLIM tool for environmental optimization of industrial processes. It is conceptually associated with the front-end loading (FEL) methodology, which pays particular attention to the initial stage of identification and selection of alternatives of water use, increasing the chances of a project´s success, avoiding wasted or badly allocated resources. The BI covers FEL 1 stage, in which the ideas are invited, followed by stage FEL 2, in which the opportunities selected are developed into conceptual projects. The method of giving priorities to the opportunities in the BI is presented, showing the synergy with FEL. The application of the BI enabled the register and process of 500 ideas with the potential to reduce water consumption by 1.4 × 103 t.h- 1 and effluents by at least 0.5 × 103 t.h- 1. The BI tool helps to identify the most attractive and sustainable conceptual projects. © 2016, ABES - Associacao Brasileira de Engenharia Sanitaria e Ambiental. All rights reserved.21475376

Development Of A Neonatal Incubator Analyzer [desenvolvimento De Um Analisador De Incubadoras Neonatais]

Although designed to benefit premature newborns (NB) by creating an artificial environment close to the uterine conditions, the use of neonatal incubators may expose the NB to several sources of risk. Periodic inspections for verification of minimum requirements of performance and safety can identify these and their degrees of impact, helping to minimize them. In order to automate the metrological evaluation essays in neonatal incubators, we present the development of an analyzer with the capacity to perform all measurements of the variables defined in the standard NBR IEC 60601-2-19 and communicate them to a computer allowing the transmission of measurement data and reception of commands for remote adjustment. The development of this system creates a nationalized alternative with cheaper and more suitable features for the metrological tests required. As a result, we obtained a micro-controlled portable and useful modular prototype, which measures temperature, relative humidity, oxygen concentration, acoustic noise and air speed. The calibration results show that the maximum relative error and measurement uncertainty for the subsystems of temperature, relative humidity, acoustic noise and O 2 concentration were respectively (-0.42; 0.05 °C), (±0.72; 0.24%) RH, (-5.17; 0.68 dB) and (1.28; 2.2%). These results indicate that the analyzer presents a metrological quality compatible with the regulatory requirements established.273194197Ashton, N., Ward, B., Serpell, G., Role of oxygen in the genesis of retrolental fibroplasia: A preliminary report (1953) British Journal of Ophthalmology, 37 (9), pp. 513-520. , http://dx.doi.org/10.1136/bjo.37.9.513, PMid:13081949.
