    Predict the Creativity of the Engineers of Kermanshah Engineering Organization Based on Their Personality Five Factors and Mental Health

    Aim: The aim of this study was to predict the creativity of the engineers of Kermanshah Engineering Organization based on their personality and mental health factors. Method: This study was performed with Pearson correlation and multiple regressions, Cranach's Alpha coefficient, SPSS software version 20. A total of 375 engineers were selected based on Morgan table that completed 3 types of questionnaires: Torrance questionnaire (verbal section), (NEO-FFI) questionnaire and GHQ-28 questionnaire. The significant level in this study was considered as 0.05. This study was descriptive and correlation based. The sampling method was random. The study was a descriptive – correlative. Result: Correlation and regression analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between creativity (fluidity, flexibility, innovation, expansion) with five factors of personality (Neuroticism, Extraversion, Conscientiousness, Openness, Agreeableness) and mental health (physical symptoms, anxiety and insomnia, depression, social function).  So regression analysis showed that personality factors (neuroticism, extraversion, flexibility) are better models to predict creativity

    زمینه و هدف: در دوره پس از زایمان برخی تغییرات جسمی، روحی و اجتماعی در مادر بوجود می آید که بر کیفیت زندگی مادران و خانواده هایشان تأثیر می گذارد. با توجه به اهمیت کیفیت زندگی و دوره بعد از زایمان و عوامل موثر بر کیفیت زندگی پس از زایمان، از جمله نوع زایمان، این مطالعه به منظور مقایسه کیفیت زندگی زنان با زایمان طبیعی و سزارین در هشت هفته بعد از زایمان انجام شد. روش بررسی: این مطالعه توصیفی - تحلیلی بر روی100 خانم 35-18 ساله مراجعه کننده به مراکز بهداشتی درمانی شهرهای ایلام و ایوان در سال 1392 که معیارهای ورود به مطالعه را داشتند انجام شد. کیفیت زندگی نمونه ها در 2 تا 8 هفته اول بعد از زایمان، با استفاده از ابزار کیفیت زندگی SF-36 ارزیابی و مورد بررسی و مقایسه قرار گرفت. یافته ها: نتایج نشان داد میانگین نمره حیطه جسمانی کیفیت زندگی در گروه زایمان با روش طبیعی 77/17 ± 60/76 و بالاتر از میانگین نمره گروه زایمان با روش سزارین (72/17 ± 10/54) بود. همچنین میانگین نمره حیطه روانی کیفیت زندگی در گروه زایمان با روش طبیعی 04/19 ± 60/67 بود که این میزان بالاتر از میانگین گروه زایمان با روش سزارین (71/15 ± 60/63) می باشد. آزمون تی تفاوت معنی داری را بین دو گروه در حیطه های جسمانی و روانی کیفیت زندگی نشان داد (

    Introduction: Health and the factors affecting it are the most important and effective components in behavior, work performance and productivity of individuals working in different organizations. Universities of medical sciences play a fundamental and functional role in health promotion, transfer of its concepts to the community, and delivery of healthcare services. This study aimed to evaluate the general health status and its effective factors among the staff of Ilam University of Medical Sciences, Ilam, Iran.   Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional and analytical study was performed on 153 of staff working at two sectors of pardis and setad of Ilam University of Medical Sciences. The participants were selected using the random sampling method. General Health Questionnaire (G.H.Q-28), which contains 28 items measuring general health, was used for data collection. To analyze the data, ANOVA, Chi-square test, Spearman correlation, and independent t-test were run in SPSS, version 16.   Findings: The results showed that 50.3% of the studied population had health score of 0-22 (healthy group). Spearman correlation test showed a significant correlation between general health and marital status (P0.05). In addition, we did not observe a significant association between general health and variables such as age, gender, work experience, educational level, and type of employment (P>0.05).   Conclusion: In this study, work experience and employment type were introduced as the most effective factors on performance and general health. Additionally, the subscale of disruption in social performance was the most effective subscale on general health

    Barriers to Effective Nurse- Patient Communication from Perspective of Nurses Employed in Educational Hospitals of Ilam

    Background and Aims: Effective communication between the nurse and the patient is one of the important factors in providing high quality nursing cares. Therefore, identifying barriers to effective communication is necessary. The aim of this study was to determine the Barriers to effective nurse- patient communication from perspective of nurses employed in educational hospitals of Ilam.Methods: This Descriptive and analytical study was conducted during the summer of 2012 in Ilam city. 80 nurses in three educational hospitals affiliated with the Ilam Medical University were selected by random sampling method. Data were collected using a 30-item questionnaire. Reliability was calculated by Cronbach's alpha (r=0 93). In order to analyze the data, SPSS statistical software version 16, T-test and ANOVA were used.Results: The results of this study showed that in this study %43.8 of the participants were female. Regarding individual and social factors, job specifications, clinical situation of patients, and environmental factors irritability of nurses, nurses' physical and mental fatigue, and presence of a family care provider and lack of in-service training in communication skills were important barriers to the communication respectively.Conclusion: Effective communication is an important factor in obtaining positive results from treatment, reducing stress and increasing patients' satisfaction of medical care.     Effects of psychotherapy in combination with pharmacotherapy, when compared to pharmacotherapy only on blood pressure, depression, and anxiety in female patients with hypertension

    We investigated effects of metacognitive detached mindfulness therapy and stress management training on hypertension and symptoms of depression and anxiety, as compared to a control condition. A total of 45 female patients (mean age: M = 36.49 years) were randomly assigned to one of three conditions: metacognitive detached mindfulness therapy, stress management training, and the control condition. Blood pressure and symptoms of depression and anxiety decreased from baseline to post-test, to follow-up. Group comparisons showed that blood pressure and symptoms of depression and anxiety decreased more in psychotherapeutic groups than in the control group. Psychotherapeutic treatment of hypertension reduced blood pressure and symptoms of depression and anxiety. Positive effects were observable at follow-up 8 weeks later
