The curve complex and covers via hyperbolic 3-manifolds

Rafi and Schleimer recently proved that the natural relation between curve complexes induced by a covering map between two surfaces is a quasi-isometric embedding. We offer another proof of this result using a distance estimate via hyperbolic 3-manifolds.Comment: 5 page

Revisiting νμ(νˉμ)\nu_\mu(\bar\nu_\mu) and νe(νˉe)\nu_e(\bar\nu_e) Induced Quasielastic Scattering from Nuclei in Sub-GeV Energy Region

We present the results of charged current quasielastic(CCQE) scattering cross sections from free as well as bound nucleons like in 12C^{12}C, 16O^{16}O, 40Ar^{40}Ar and 208Pb^{208}Pb nuclear targets in Eν(νˉ) ≤ E_\nu(_{\bar\nu})~\le~ 1 GeV energy region. The results are obtained using local Fermi gas model with and without RPA effect. The differences those may arise in the electron and muon production cross sections due to the different lepton mass, uncertainties in the axial dipole mass MAM_A and pseudoscalar form factor, and due to the inclusion of second class currents have been highlighted for neutrino/antineutrino induced processes.Comment: Published in Journal of the Physical Society of Japan (NuInt-2015

The rapid advancement in Information and Communication Technology is driving a revolutionary change in the way organizations do business. The fast growing capabilities of both generating and collecting data has generated an imperative need for new techniques and tools that can intelligently and automatically transform the processed data into valuable information and knowledge for effective decision making. Business intelligence (BI) plays an important role extracting valuable information and discovering the hidden patterns in internal as well as external sources of data. The main purpose of the BI is to improve the knowledge with information that allows managers to make effective decisions to achieve organizational objectives. However majority of organizational knowledge is in unstructured form or in the minds of its employees. On the other hand, Knowledge Management (KM) encompasses both tacit and explicit knowledge to enhance s the organizations performance by providing collaborative tools to learn, create and share the knowledge within the organization. Therefore, it is imperative for the organizations to integrate BI with KM. The purpose of this paper is to discuss the importance of integration of BI with KM and provide a framework to integrate BI and KM. Keywords: Business Intelligence (BI), Knowledge Management (KM), Scorecard, Dashboard, ETL, Data Mining, OLAP, Tacit Knowledge, Explicit Knowledg

Objective:The objective of the present work is to evaluate the presence of phytochemical constituents and antimicrobial activity of different extracts from the leaves of Senna alata Linn. Methods: The serial exhaustive extraction was done with variousof solvents: Aqueous, Chloroforms, Ethanol, Methanol, Acetone, Benzene, Petroleum ether with increasing polarity using soxhlet apparatus. The phytochemical analysis was done by using the standard procedure. Antimicrobial activity was evaluated by disc diffusion method by using leaves extract against various human pathogens. Results: The results revealed that the leaves extracts contain Flavonoids, Terpenoids, Tannins, Phlobatannins, Saponins, Cardiac glycosides, Carbohydrate, Protein and Anthraquinones in major proportion. Aqueous extract was shown to be more effective against all the organisms followed by ethanol, chloroform, methanol, acetone, benzene, petroleum ether extracts. Salmonella typhi (28mm), Bacillus subtilis (28mm) was found to be most sensitive organism followed by Pseudomonas fluorescence (27mm), Escherichia coli (27mm). Conclusions: It can be concluded that the different extracts of Senna alata leaves extract contain a broad spectrum of secondary metabolites and also exhibit antimicrobial activity against all the tested microorganisms. Further phytochemical research is needed to identity the active product of S. alata may serve as leads in the development of new pharmaceuticals

This study aimed to describe the adoption of Sapta Pesona Attraction in Fort Fort De Kock Bukittinggi which includes seven indicators Sapta Pesona namely: safe, orderly, clean, cool, beautiful, friendly, and memories. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. This study population is the average monthly number is 8231 people. The number of samples in this study are numbered 99 people were taken by using the formula Riduwan. The sampling technique in this research is non probability sampling (purposive sampling). Data collection techniques using a questionnaire based on the Likert scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The results showed that the overall application of stepping in attraction Fort Fort de Kock Bukittinggi classified in the category quite well with the average value score of 176.99 in the range of 160 - <200 with the interpretation of the percentage of 46.47%, while under each each indicator are: for safe, orderly, clean, friendly and reasonably good memories of the category and to cool and beautiful in both categories
