    Get PDF
A specially designed air-cooling (and heating) system using Earth Tube Heat Exchanger (ETHE) was installed in the dwelling of a 15-year old white tiger (Panthera tigris) named Mahesh at Kamala Nehru Zoological Garden, Ahmedabad (India) in October 2000. This was done to alleviate the stresses experienced by Mahesh in summer, which is long and hot; and in winter nights, which can be quite cold. Summer temperatures in Ahmedabad remain around 40oC for a long time and can reach as high as 45oC. Night temperatures in winter can drop to 10oC or below. The system does both--provide cooling in summer and warming in winter. In winter the system warms up the ambient (cold) air by as much as 10oC at night. In summer the system cools the ambient (hot) air also by as much as 8 - 10oC during the day.

Objective: A new precise, accurate, sensitive and robust RP-HPLC method was developed for estimation of darunavir ethanolate in bulk and tablets. Methods: The chromatographic separation was achieved on Enable C18 column (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 µm) at an ambient temperature. The mobile phase consists of acetonitrile and 0.01M potassium acetate buffer, pH 5.1 (75:25 v/v) was at the flow rate 1 ml/min and UV detection was done at 268 nm.Results: The method was linear over the concentration range of 40-90 µg/ml (r2= 0.998) of the drug. The percentage content was found in darunavir ethanolate 99.19±0.58 in tablets. The low value of the drug %RSD (0.11) indicates that reproducibility of this method. Low value of LOD and LOQ suggests the sensitivity of the method. Conclusion: It can be concluded from the results that the proposed RP-HPLC method was found to be rapid, simple, accurate, robust and precise for the analysis of darunavir ethanolate in bulk and tablet dosage form. The developed method can be applied in routine analysis of this drug in the pharmaceutical industry.Â

Deproteinised leaf extracts previously found favourably enhancing plant and fungi growth. Present attempt has been made to observe its influence in enhancing the enzyme nitrate reductase. Crop of Eleusine coracana was cultivated  and  treated  by  deproteined  whey  from  the  leguminous  weed Cassia tora  and  its  influence examined on the  activity of  the  enzyme  nitrate  reductase  by  spectrophotometric method. Cassia tora  crop  was fractionated  for  the  purpose  to  isolate  crude  leaf  protein by  heating the juice  to  90°C  which gave  deproteinised  leaf  juice (DPJ). The crop growth was also compared with other monocotyledonous wheat,  Sorghum and  bajra   crops.  There  was  enhancement of nitrate  reductase  in  wheat  crop  by the application of  non  leguminous  Basella forage DPJ. There  was  lesser  activity  of  nitrate  reductase in  Eleusine  crop  by the influence  of Cassia  tora  DPJ probably because  of  the  deficiency  of  element  molybdenum in  the utilised  red  soil  for  the   growth  of  crops or allelopathy. Length  and  number  of  leaves of  Eleusine crop was  measured.&nbsp

Robotics and automation does play a significant role in today’s world meeting future agricultural production needs. In the recent few years, a similar trend has begun to take place in agriculture, for example GPS- and vision-based monitoring and self-guided tractors and harvesters already being available commercially in markets. Most recently, farmers have already started to experiment with autonomous systems which automate operations such as thinning, and harvesting, pruning as well as mowing, spraying, and weed removal. This would be just the beginning of what a revolution will be in the way that agriculture is growing, tendering, and getting harvested. Our device would include android based application which would operate movement of device through Bluetooth module and operate excavating pistons which would dig hole and seeds would automatically fall into excavated hole. Brain Tumor Classification, Segmentation, and Detection using Deep Learning - A Review

    Get PDF
V.Vapnik in 1965 proposed Vector methods. Kimeldorf presented a technique for creating kernel space based on support vectors in 1971. Support Vector Machine (SVM) techniques were initially presented in the 1990s by V. Vapnik in the field of statistical learning.  Since then, pattern recognition, natural language processing, image processing and other areas have seen extensive use of SVM. By converting non-linear sample space into linear space via a kernel approach, the algorithm's complexity is reduced. Image classification is a well-known issue in image processing.  Predicting the input image categories using the features is the main objective of image classification. There are several different classifiers, including Artificial Neural Networks, Support Vector Machines, and Random Forests, Decision Forests, k-NNs (k Nearest Neighbors), and Adaptive Boost. SVM is one of the best techniques for categorizing any image or pattern. A common non-invasive technique used in the medical sector for the analysis, diagnosis, treatment of brain tissues is magnetic resonance imaging.  When a brain tumor is discovered early, the patient's life can be saved by receiving the appropriate care.  It becomes difficult to accurately identify tumors in the MRI slices, which requires fussy work.

Today modern medical science have lots of facilities & technologies for treatment of patient even though many diseases may still in progressive phase in the society. Vicharchika is one of such kind of disorders. In Ayurveda context, eleven types Kshudra kushtha are described and Vicharchika is one of them. In ancient text, there described many lines of treatments of Vicharchika like leech application, local application and many oral medicines. Eczema is a skin disease, which is observed as exfoliation of the skin, mostly accompanied by severe itching. In the chronic stages, there may be oozing of pus and bleeding from the affected regions. This case is a example of Vicharchika like skin disease can be managed with Ayurvedic therapy. The combination of certain Ayurvedic drug such as Manjista, Daruharidra, Khadir, Arogyavardhini, etc is effective for the management of Vicharchika (Eczema)

Ayurved have its own concepts like Dosh, Dushay, Mala, Agni etc. Aam is one of the concepts which take major role to produce variety of disease. Aam is unripe, undigested food which cause due to Agnimandhy. Aam production cause Agnimandhy & vice versa. We all know that all disease occurs due to Agnimandhy only. If Agni get destroy then human get die. Aam is root cause of all disease. Now days, due to increasing pollution, incapability to obey the rules of sound body maintence and lack of exercise and notorious diet, the immunity being is decreased. Because of this variety of disease produced. Ama production can result in variety of diseases like Amvata (Rheumatoid arthritis), Sandhigata-vata (osteoarthritis), Katigat-vata (low-back pain), Tamaksvasa (Asthma), and Pakvasjayagata. The concept of Ama is the most important fundamental principle of Ayurveda in understanding the physio-pathology of the diseases. Aamvichar have own importance in Nidan & Chikitsa of disease. The choice of kalpa changes according to Sama and Niram avashta. Ayurveda attributes cause of any disease to an imbalance in one or all of the Dosh and for successful treatment of a particular disease Vaidya has to determine, weather the imbalanced Dosh is Saam or Niram. If Vaidya can understand this stage well and give its drug as per Avashta then it will be give miraculous result. In this review article cover all points related to Aam from samhita & available latest literature from internet.&nbsp

Robotics is a key technology in the modern world. Robots are a well-established part of manufacturing and warehouse automation, assembling cars or washing machines, and, for example, moving goods to and from storage racks for Internet mail order. More recently robots have taken their first steps into homes and hospitals, and seen spectacular success in planetary exploration. Yet, despite these successes, robots have failed to live up to the predictions of the 1950s and 60s, when it was widely thought - by scientists and engineers as well as the public - that by turn of the 21st century we would have intelligent robots as butlers, companions, or co-workers. Robotics is the branch of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science that deals with the design, construction, operation, and application of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing.
