    C. indologenes is a widespread bacteria in the environment, especially hospitals and rarely reported human pathogen. The lowest frequency was reported in children under 5 years of age. Clinical manifestations of C. indologenes include nosocomial pneumoniae, biliary tract infection, peritonitis, surgical wound infection, intravasculer catheter related bacteremia, cellulitis, and primary bacteremia. There is knowledge gap in the management of C.indologenes infections, especially in children because of multiple antibiotic resistance and limited data for effective empirical treatment in the literature. In the published literature, a total of 16 cases of C. indologenes infections in the pediatric age group were found. Herein we presented our experience in six children with C. indologenes infections. Early and prompt management of C. indolegenes infections, particularly in children with mechanic ventilation, polymicrobial infections, and under two-years old age constitute a major importance because this factors seem to have a negative affect on the prognosis of infections caused by C. indologenes. Ciprofloxacin and TPM-SMX may be the good therapeutic choices for a combined initial empiric treatment of the patients. The accepted manuscript in pdf format is listed with the files at the bottom of this page. necessity has disrupted traditional norms and has affected all aspects of life. Undoubtedly, the education sector is one of the most significant areas affected by technology. As the population rate increases, the importance and necessity of education also increase. In response to this need for education, new educational models emerge based on the contemporary conditions. One of the critical factors that lead to the emergence of these new models is the COVID-19 outbreak that affected the entire world in March 2020. As a result of this epidemic, countries have adopted various methods in the field of education and training. Some countries suspended their educational activities, while others have continued the process through distance education. Distance education is a teaching method that relies heavily on the active use of information and information tools. The extensive use of distance education tools can attract the attention of malicious individuals who may seek to access these services directly or indirectly. This study aims to present the data and information obtained from analyzing the traffic information stored by Microsoft Teams and Skype or incoming and outgoing traffic information over the network in an isolated environment. The study was conducted on computers with the Windows 10 operating system and web client applications installed. One of the primary goals of this study is to assist researchers who will study distance education tools in the future

Y Three new nitrogen-rich energetic compounds, N-(5-chloro-2,4-dinitrophenyl)hydrazine (1), N-(5-chloro-2,4-dinitrophenyl)guanidine (2) and N-(5-chloro-2,4-dinitrophenyl)-4-aminopyrazole (3) prepared by the nucleophilic substitution reaction of 1,3-dichloro-4,6-dinitrobenzene with hydrazine, guanidinium carbonate and 4-aminopyrazole. The compounds were characterized by H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, IR and mass spectroscopy. Only compound 2 could be prepared in a suitable crystal and molecular model was determined by X-ray analysis. Compounds were investigated by TG and DSC. Thermal degradation and thermokinetic behavior were investigated by Ozawa-Flynn-Wall and Kissinger-Akahira-Sunose techniques. Compounds were observed to be prone to exothermical thermal decomposition. HOMO and LUMO levels, theoretical formation enthalpy and electrostatic maps were calculated by Gaussian09. The detonation velocity and pressure were calculated by Kamlet-Jacobs equation. The compounds were assayed for antimicrobial properties

Additional Value of Using Satellite-Based Soil Moisture and Two Sources of Groundwater Data for Hydrological Model Calibration

Although the complexity of physically-based models continues to increase, they still need to be calibrated. In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in using new satellite technologies and products with high resolution in model evaluations and decision-making. The aim of this study is to investigate the value of dierent remote sensing products and groundwater level measurements in the temporal calibration of a well-known hydrologic model i.e., Hydrologiska Bryåns Vattenbalansavdelning (HBV). This has rarely been done for conceptual models, as satellite data are often used in the spatial calibration of the istributed models. Three different soil moisture products from the European Space Agency Climate Change Initiative Soil Measure (ESA CCI SM v04.4), The Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer on the Earth Observing System (EOS) Aqua satellite (AMSR-E), soil moisture active passive (SMAP), and total water storage anomalies from Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) are collected and spatially averaged over the Moselle River Basin in Germany and France. Different combinations of objective functions and search algorithms, all targeting a good fit between observed and simulated streamflow, groundwater and soil moisture, are used to analyze the contribution of each individual source of information. Firstly, the most important parameters are selected using sensitivity analysis, and then these parameters are included in a subsequent model calibration. The results of our multi-objective calibration reveal a substantial contribution of remote sensing products to the lumped model calibration, even if their spatially-distributed information is lost during the spatial aggregation. Inclusion of new observations, such as groundwater levels from wells and remotely sensed soil moisture to the calibration improves the model’s physical behavior, while it keeps a reasonable water balance that is the key objective of every hydrologic model

Towards a standardized program of transitional care for adolescents with juvenile idiopathic arthritis for Turkey: a national survey study

    No full text
Background: Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a prevalent childhood chronic arthritis, often persisting into adulthood. Effective transitional care becomes crucial as these patients transition from pediatric to adult healthcare systems. Despite the concept of transitional care being recognized, its real-world implementation remains inadequately explored. This study aims to evaluate the thoughts and practices of healthcare providers regarding transitional care for JIA patients. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among pediatric and adult rheumatologists in Turkey. Based on the American Academy of Pediatrics’ six core elements of transitional care, the survey included 86 questions. The respondents’ demographic data, attitudes towards transitional care, and practical implementation were assessed. Results: The survey included 48 rheumatologists, with 43.7% having a transition clinic. The main barriers to establishing transition programs were the absence of adult rheumatologists, lack of time, and financial constraints. Only 23.8% had a multidisciplinary team for transition care. Participants agreed on the importance of coordination and cooperation between pediatric and adult healthcare services. The timing of the transition process varied, with no consensus on when to initiate or complete it. Participants advocated for validated questionnaires adapted to local conditions to assess transition readiness. Conclusions: The study sheds light on the challenges and perspectives surrounding transitional care for JIA patients in Turkey. Despite recognized needs and intentions, practical implementation remains limited due to various barriers. Cultural factors and resource constraints affect the transition process. While acknowledging the existing shortcomings, the research serves as a ground for further efforts to improve transitional care and ensure better outcomes for JIA patients transitioning into adulthood
