The fate and transport of many anthropogenic pollutants have an impact not only on hydrological cycles, but also on physico-chemical processes.Water resource monitoring will assess the quality of water, identify its depreciation, and help policymakers make decisions that will preserve not only natural areas but also improve quality of life. Therefore the purpose of this paper is to evaluate the physical and chemical parameters of the locations where the river Lukac flows into the Erenik river. Erenik is a river in the western part of Kosovo. The water quality of the Ereniku river comes from anthropogenic activities, mainly from sewage discharges, from agriculture, as well as from various factors that perform their activity in the watershed of the Ereniku river. Samples were taken from the river in June 2017 in three stations and analyzed the physical-chemical parameters such as: Iron, Manganese, Amonjaku, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate, Aluminum, spending of potassium permanganate, dissolved oxygen, turbulence, pH, electrical conductivity, Alkalinity, COD, BOD, N and P inorganic forms, etc.Water samples were analyzed in the physicochemical laboratory such as: pH meter, conductometry, turbidometry, atomic absorption method, spectrophotometric methods and classical chemical analysis methods (volymmetry).Parameters such as pH, temperature, hardness, blur are comparable to the qualities of mountain rivers, which are not significantly affected by human activities. The TSS, alkaline and EC values are higher where they show the influence of human activity and sewage, as well as the COD and BOD values show the impact of human activity

The town of Gjakova is situated between the river Ereniku, Krena, and Llukac which is situated in the west region of Kosovo, meters in the central part of Dukagjini valley in an attitude of meters above the sea level. The pollution of the rivers by sewage and atmospheric waters as in the case in the Llukac and without proper maintenance brings to the thoughts about the future of the river because the quality is very valuable and we have it in limited qualities. The evaluation of the quality traditionally was based on the measurement of the concentration of organic and inorganic ingredients. The study of the project was done during 2011 and it was monitored its condition during 12 months. The outcome of the results conducted at physical-chemical labs as well as bacteriologic lab gives a general evaluation of the quality of the water at Llukac river which flows into Ereniku river. Based on analyses results, pollution shows that the pollution of Llukac river as results of urban sewage and quantity of flowing pollutants. Keywords: atmospheric, water, analyzes, quality, Llukac

The aims of this study is to identify the most appropriate depths for getting water in the Lake of Radoniqi, Kosovo. We have analyzed physical and chemical indicators such as iron (Fe), aluminium (Al), manganese (Mg), ammonia, nitrites, nitrates etc. Also we have measured phosphorus ions at five levels of Radoniqi Lake. We have measured permaganat of potassium consumption, dissolved oxygen, turbidity and the bed smell aroma. Samples of water were analyzed in the physico-chemical laboratory of Filtration and Treatment Station for drinking water of Radoniqi, in Gjakova. Methods are using such as pH meters, conductivity turbidometrija, atomic absorption, classical spektrofotometrik methods, chemical analysis etc. The results obtained show that the water of the lake "Radoniqi" have a good quality in the level four and five. The removal of water bed aroma is accomplished through treatment with activated carbon in Gjakova Water Treatment and Filtration Station. Keywords: lake, water, parameters, methods, results, filter station

The purpose of this research is to monitor water quality in Lake Radoniq through physical, chemical parameters which are very important for determining the environmental condition of the water in the lake and helps in determining the source of water pollution. During this research which was done in 2011 and 2012 in Lake Radoniqi analyzed these chemical parameters: temperature, turbidity, pH value, electrical conductivity, nitrites, expense KMnO4, phosphates, etc. From the results obtained during the analysis of water, recorded an increase of some chemical parameters such as turbidity, nitrites, expense KMnO4, this is the result of large flows of water and soil erosion from rainfall and snow melt. Taken as a whole lake water quality is good, but since the water, after treatment is used for human consumption, is required to monitor continuously water quality. In statements are given values of measurements nephelometric siltation which vary from 1.05 in august to 3.05 NTU in December the concentration of nitrites in the water of the lake varies from 0.003 mg/l in September to 0.0072 mg/l in June, this happens due to the discharge of rainfall and erosion where we are to carry on the lake waste significant amounts of organic matter, clay, and other solid materials. Keywords: water, method, analysis, lake, parameters

The aim of this study was to evaluate the microbiologic contamination level of water in Lake Radoniq, where organisms have special importance indicators of fecal contamination. Water is tested for the presence of total coliform bacteria, fecal coliform bacteria of fecal origin and mesophilic aerobic bacteria. These organisms are mainly used as indicators of water quality studies; their presence indicates that fecal material has polluted the water. Monitoring was conducted for 3 years, in 2008, 2011 and 2012 over 12 months, and the average monthly minimum and maximum are shown in the tables on monitoring the water in Lake Radoniq in Gjakovë. This study shows that water pollution is very important. In almost entire Lake area the presence of fecal coliform bacteria appears. For this numerous analyses have been made and methods through the filtration system, preparation of nutrient agar and incubation have been used. Such waters where there is interference and uncontrolled discharge of sewage, need common processing as precloration, coagulation, flocculates, sludge, filtration, final disinfection by chlorination where these processes are carried out regularly with success in the water treatment plant in RWC ‘Radoniq’ in order to offer consumers the best quality water. Keywords: Escherichia coli, water, total coliform, contamination, sample

In different seasons the water of the lake "Radoniqi" showed changes in the water quality, such as increased turbidity, presenting an unpleasant odor or flavor. Aeration, flocculation, filtration and disinfection with chlorine failed to completely eliminate undesirable odor or flavor. The purpose of this paper is the adjustment of water treatment technologies based on physical-chemical and bacteriological characteristics of Lake Radoniqi water. The objectives of the study are to identify the physical-chemical and organoleptic parameters of water before and after treatment of water in the treatment plant, and adjustment of technologies in the function of unprocessed water quality. In this study were analyzed following water parameters, such as turbidity, smell, taste, pH value, potassium permanganate value, dissolved oxygen, iron, manganese, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, phosphates, aluminum, etc. Water samples are tested in the physical-chemical laboratory with methods, such as jar-test method, organoleptic test, pH meters, conductivity, turbidity, spectrophotometric methods and classical methods of chemical analysis (volumetric method). Results of physical-chemical and organoleptic analysis of lake water help us to determine the water intake level of the lake as well as make a decision for the most appropriate technology for water treatment. Keywords: water, parameters, lake, methods, results
