    Get PDF
This paper proposes a novel in-wheel motor, which artfully integrates a magnetic gear into a permanent-magnet brushless (PMBL) DC motor so that they can share a common PM rotor, hence offering both high efficiency and high power density. Moreover, the low-speed requirement for direct driving and the high-speed requirement for compact motor design can be achieved simultaneously. A 2-kW 600/4400-rpm magnetic-geared outer-rotor PMBL DC motor is designed and analyzed, which is particularly suitable for battery-powered electric motorcycles. © 2007 IEEE.published_or_final_versio

In this paper, 4 extensional balanced geological sect ion analysis were practiced in Fuyu oil layer of Liangjing , Jilin oilfield, southern Songliao basin with the technology and method, including deformation history restoration, decompaction and erosion restoration. The structure of different ages and the continuous sedimentary sections have been restored. T he result s show that the structural styles possess the characteristics of negative flower structure in the shallow level and ex tensional detachment in deep level. The parameters, including fault growth index, the basin ex tensional history and fault detachment depth, indicate that Late Cretaceous is an important stage for the structure transferring mainly with a strike-slip style before this time and an ex tensional structure and detachment after this time. Therefore, a basin model with twin dynamic property and back-arc characters is proposed.published_or_final_versio

Novel permanent magnet motor drives for electric vehicles

    Get PDF
Novel permanent magnet (PM) motor drives have been successfully developed to fulfil the special requirements for electric vehicles such as high power density, high efficiency, high starting torque, and high cruising speed. These PM motors are all brushless and consist of various types, namely rectangular-fed, sinusoidal-fed, surface-magnet, buried-magnet, and hybrid. The advent of novel motor configurations lies on the unique electro-magnetic topology, including the concept of multipole magnetic circuit and full slot-pitch coil span arrangements, leading to a reduction in both magnetic yoke and copper, decoupling of each phase flux path, and hence an increase in both power density and efficiency. Moreover, with the use of fractional number of slots per pole per phase, the cogging torque can be eliminated. On the other hand, by employing the claw-type rotor structure and fixing an additional field winding as the inner stator, these PM hybrid motors can further provide excellent controllability and improve efficiency map. In the PM motors, by purposely making use of the transformer EMF to prevent the current regulator from saturation, a novel control approach is developed to allow for attaining high-speed constant-power operation which is particularly essential for electric vehicles during cruising. Their design philosophy, control strategy, theoretical analysis, computer simulation, experimental tests and application to electric vehicles are described. © 1996 IEEE.published_or_final_versio

Interleukin-2 Confers Cardioprotection by Inhibiting Mitochondrial Permeability Transition Pore

    Get PDF
In the present study, we determined whether interleukin-2 (IL-2) confers cardioprotection by inhibiting mitochondria permeability transition pore (MPTP) opening. In isolated rat hearts subject to 30 min ischemia and 120 min reperfusion (IR), IL-2 (50 U/ml) decreased the infarct size and LDH release, effects blocked by a selective kappa-opioid receptor antagonist, Nor-BNI (5 microM) or an opener of MPTP, atractyloside (Atr, 20 microM). In isolated ventricular myocytes subjected to anoxia and reoxygenation (AR), which reduced both the amplitude of the electrically induced [Ca2+]i transient and diastolic [Ca2+]i, IL-2 attenuated the AR-induced alterations and their effects were abolished by Atr. In addition, IL-2 attenuated the reduction in calcein fluorescence in myocytes subject to AR and reduced calcium-induced swelling in mitochondria of rat hearts subjected to IR, which were similar to effect of inhibitor of MPTP. The observations indicated that IL-2 confers cardioprotection by inhibiting the MPTP opening.published_or_final_versio

Revealing microstructural evolutions, mechanical properties and wear performance of wire arc additive manufacturing homogeneous and heterogeneous NiTi alloy

Heterogeneous microstructure designs have attracted a great deal of attention, not only because they have the potential to achieve an ideal combination of two conflicting properties, but also because the processes involved in their fabrication are cost-effective and can be scaled up for industrial production. The process parameters in the preparation process have an important effect on the microstructure and properties of alloy members prepared by wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) technology. It was expected that the spatial heterogeneous microstructure with large microstructural heterogeneities in metals can be formed through changing the process parameters. In this work, homogeneous NiTi thin-walled component and heterogeneous NiTi thin-walled component were fabricated using WAAM technology by adjusting the heat input. The effects of deposition height and heat input on the microstructure, mechanical properties and wear properties of WAAM NiTi alloys were investigated. The results show that grains were gradually refined with the increase of deposition height in the homogeneous WAAM NiTi component. The ultimate tensile strength of homogeneous WAAM NiTi component increased from 606.87 MPa to 654.45 MPa and the elongation increased from 12.72% to 15.38%, as the increase of deposition height. Moreover, the homogeneous WAAM NiTi component exhibited excellent wear resistance, the coefficient of friction decreased from 0.760 to 0.715 with the increase of deposition height. Meanwhile, the grains in the heterogeneous WAAM NiTi component shows the finest grains in the central region. The ultimate tensile strength of the lower region, middle region and upper region of heterogeneous WAAM NiTi components were 556.12 MPa, 599.53 MPa and 739.79 MPa, and the elongations were 12.98%, 16.69%, 21.74%, respectively. The coefficient of friction for the lower region, middle region and upper region of heterogeneous WAAM NiTi components were 0.713, 0.720 and 0.710, respectively. The microhardness and cyclic compression properties of the homogeneous components with higher heat input were better than those of the heterogeneous components for the same deposition height. The tensile yield strength, elongation and wear resistance of the heterogeneous components were superior compared to the homogeneous components. These results can be used to optimize the WAAM process parameters to prepare NiTi components with excellent mechanical properties
