Learning When to Concentrate or Divert Attention: Self-Adaptive Attention Temperature for Neural Machine Translation

Most of the Neural Machine Translation (NMT) models are based on the sequence-to-sequence (Seq2Seq) model with an encoder-decoder framework equipped with the attention mechanism. However, the conventional attention mechanism treats the decoding at each time step equally with the same matrix, which is problematic since the softness of the attention for different types of words (e.g. content words and function words) should differ. Therefore, we propose a new model with a mechanism called Self-Adaptive Control of Temperature (SACT) to control the softness of attention by means of an attention temperature. Experimental results on the Chinese-English translation and English-Vietnamese translation demonstrate that our model outperforms the baseline models, and the analysis and the case study show that our model can attend to the most relevant elements in the source-side contexts and generate the translation of high quality.Comment: To appear in EMNLP 201

A novel optimization method on logistics operation for warehouse & port enterprises based on game theory

Purpose: The following investigation aims to deal with the competitive relationship among different warehouses & ports in the same company. Design/methodology/approach: In this paper, Game Theory is used in carrying out the optimization model. Genetic Algorithm is used to solve the model. Findings: Unnecessary competition will rise up if there is little internal communication among different warehouses & ports in one company. This paper carries out a novel optimization method on warehouse & port logistics operation model. Originality/value: Warehouse logistics business is a combination of warehousing services and terminal services which is provided by port logistics through the existing port infrastructure on the basis of a port. The newly proposed method can help to optimize logistics operation model for warehouse & port enterprises effectively. We set Sinotrans Guangdong Company as an example to illustrate the newly proposed method. Finally, according to the case study, this paper gives some responses and suggestions on logistics operation in Sinotrans Guangdong warehouse & port for its future development.Peer Reviewe

林羅山詩論研究

林羅山の詩論についての従来の研究は、詩論において羅山が目的としたものや、羅山詩論がその史論と深く結びついていることへの理解に欠けているところがある。 本稿では、羅山の詩論が「撥乱反正」を目的とするものであることを示すとともに、その史論との関係について整理を加えることによって、羅山の詩論が哲学的な深みを持ち、かつ歴史を通じて現在を直視するものであること、すなわちその詩論が朱子学における『易』学を基礎とするものであり、「源平の乱」以来のなまなましい歴史と現実を直視しつつ、奈良時代から江戸時代初期に至る日本の詩壇の盛衰を回顧したものであり、鋭い批判精神に貫かれたものであることを明らかにした。 儒学の「民本」思想に基づく「性情の正を得て、声義の和を保つ」の主張は、羅山詩論の主旋律であり、江戸社会の太平のために詩壇のあるべき姿を示したことは、羅山詩論の交響曲であると言える。本文為：2016年度教育部人文社會科學重點研究基地重大項目《日本漢詩彙編與研究》( 批准號:16JJD750021）階段性成果之

中日文化交流的輝煌和中日政治文化的異同 : 論菅茶山的史詩式漢詩《開元琴歌》

《開元琴歌》是一首七言古詩，寫作于天明六年（1786）末，共70行490字，真部一韻到底。菅茶山以一千多年的歷史時間為縱線，以中日對比歷史觀和文明觀為橫線，構建了一個上至周文王，下至日本光格天皇（1779〜1817年在位）的詩歌意象空間。《開元琴歌》的情感基調集中在一個“憤”字上。這是一首史詩式的“真詩”，讓讀者在詩人中日歷史文化時空的對比吟唱中，領會到了中日文化交流的輝煌和中日政治文化的異同。是一首難得的海外漢詩珍品

The role of electron and phonon temperatures in the helicity-independent all-optical switching of GdFeCo

Ultrafast optical heating of the electrons in ferrimagnetic metals can result in all-optical switching (AOS) of the magnetization. Here we report quantitative measurements of the temperature rise of GdFeCo thin films during helicity-independent AOS. Critical switching fluences are obtained as a function of the initial temperature of the sample and for laser pulse durations from 55 fs to 15 ps. We conclude that non-equilibrium phenomena are necessary for helicity-independent AOS, although the peak electron temperature does not play a critical role. Pump-probe time-resolved experiments show that the switching time increases as the pulse duration increases, with 10 ps pulses resulting in switching times of ~sim 13 ps. These results raise new questions about the fundamental mechanism of helicity-independent AOS.Comment: 18 pages, 6 figures and supplementary material

市河寛斎『日本詩紀』考
