    The aim of this study is to create understanding profiles of elementary school teachers who have been and have not been following the workshop PMRI, before and after they learned the learning resource about philosophy, principles, and characteristics of realistic mathematics approach. This type of research used in this study is a combination of qualitative research and developmental research. The results shown in this paper is the understanding profile of onesubject who is an elementary school teacher. Research subjects involved in the trial for the first task, the learning resource, and second task are six persons, which consists of three PGSD students who are working on the final project, and three elementary school teachers

    : Differences of Problem Solving Competences of OSN Mathematics Medal Winners by Sex. This study was carried out to explore whether different sexes influence the performances of OSN Mathematics Medal Winners . T wo subjects, namely MF ( female) and YB ( male), were selected and as signed to solve two mathematical problems. The subjects' p rofiles were obtained from in - depth inte rviews. The data indicate that there are differences in problem-solving profiles of the female and the male subjects, revealed in what they think and do when solving the mathematical problems and in the order of how they solve the problems. The order reflects the stages of Polya, and the differences observed seem to be caused by the different scheme of solving problems

    . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil proses berpikir mahasiswa dengan tipe kepribadian Sensing, yang terdiri atas Artisan dan Guardian, dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Pengenalan terhadap profil berpikir mahasiswa penting diketahui oleh pengajar, karena melalui pengenalan tersebut, pengajar dapat mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang sesuai pada masing-masing tipe kepribadian sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat dicapai secara optimal. Mengenai tipe kepribadian, David Keirsey membagi menjadi tipe Sensing dan Intuisi. Pada penelitian ini, akan dibicarakan tipe Sensing, yang terbagi menjadi tipe Artisan dan Guardian. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa jurusan Sistem Informasi sebuah perguruan tinggi di Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif eksploratif dimana subjek diminta untuk memecahkan masalah matematika menggunakan langkah heuristik dari Polya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil proses berpikir mahasiswa dengan tipe Guardian lebih detail dan spesifik dalam memecahkan masalah matematika daripada tipe Artisan, yang lebih mengutamakan persoalan yang harus diselesaikan

    This study intended to obtain problem-solving profile of medal winner of OSN Mathematics. The subject is MF (female), grade IX SMPN 1 Surabaya. Interviewing use the “ball” and “bucket” problems. Results of interviews showed that MF read problems at least twice. The goal is that no information of the problem will be missed. After reading the first, she make alternative plans. The plans is then checked again at the second reading. For both research problems, she can complete in a different way. At ball problem, MF can make a plan of “front” and “rear”. At bucket problem, she can finish it in a way “normal” and “different”. She also have positive attitude in solving problems

These students should be given greater opportunities to explore the meaning of fractions before they learn the relationship between fractions and operations on fractions. Although students can shading area represents a fraction, does not mean they really understand the meaning of fractions as a whole.     Developing Experiment-based Teaching Materials of Fractal Geometry to Upgrade Students' Competences

    This study was aimed at producing experiment-based teaching materials of fractal geometry in order to improve students' competence. Development research model proposed by Thiagarajan, Semmel & Semmel was adopted. The subjects were mathematics students of Universitas Negeri Surabaya taking Fractal geometry course in 2015/2016 academic year. Teaching materials included lecture books and students' worksheets containing experiment activities. Experiments were conducted using open source software and measurement tools. Experiment topics comprised spirolateral construction, fractal construction with iterated function system, Fractal dimension calculation methods and their applications.
