LINE: Large-scale Information Network Embedding
This paper studies the problem of embedding very large information networks
into low-dimensional vector spaces, which is useful in many tasks such as
visualization, node classification, and link prediction. Most existing graph
embedding methods do not scale for real world information networks which
usually contain millions of nodes. In this paper, we propose a novel network
embedding method called the "LINE," which is suitable for arbitrary types of
information networks: undirected, directed, and/or weighted. The method
optimizes a carefully designed objective function that preserves both the local
and global network structures. An edge-sampling algorithm is proposed that
addresses the limitation of the classical stochastic gradient descent and
improves both the effectiveness and the efficiency of the inference. Empirical
experiments prove the effectiveness of the LINE on a variety of real-world
information networks, including language networks, social networks, and
citation networks. The algorithm is very efficient, which is able to learn the
embedding of a network with millions of vertices and billions of edges in a few
hours on a typical single machine. The source code of the LINE is available
online.Comment: WWW 201
Effects of coagulation factors and inflammatory cytokines on development of acute myocardial infarction in patients younger than 60 years
Purpose: To investigate the effects of coagulation factors and inflammatory cytokines on acute myocardial infarction (AMI) development in patients younger than 60 years. Methods: In this study, 60 patients admitted to The First Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University (Dalian, China) with AMI and 30 other subjects matched with the patients for age and ethnicity but without AMI were enrolled. Blood samples were collected from the AMI patients and the control subjects after a 12-h fast. Subsequently, the levels of coagulation factors (F) II (FII), VII (FVII), VIII (FVIII), fibrinogen (Fg) and von Willebrand factor (vWF) in plasma were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The protein expression levels of these coagulation factors were determined by Western blot analysis. Inflammatory factors including C-reactive protein (CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin- 6 (IL-6) were also measured by ELISA.Results: FII, FVII, FVIII, Fg and vWF levels in plasm were significantly higher in AMI patients compared with control subjects (p < 0.01). Furthermore, the protein expression levels of FII, FVII, FVIII, Fg and vWF were also significantly up-regulated in AMI patients compared with those in control subjects. Additionally, no significant difference was observed in CRP between AMI patients and control subjects (p > 0.05). However, TNF-α and IL-6 levels in the plasma of AMI patients were significantly higher than those in control subjects (p < 0.05).Conclusion: The results reveal that the pathogenesis of AMI in patients younger than 60 years might be closely related to the high levels of coagulation factors and inflammatory cytokines in the blood. Keywords: Coagulation factor, Inflammatory cytokines, Acute myocardial infarction, C-reactive protein, Tumor necrosis factor-α, Interleukin-
Target-Mounted Intelligent Reflecting Surface for Joint Location and Orientation Estimation
Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) has been widely recognized as an
efficient technique to reconfigure the electromagnetic environment in favor of
wireless communication performance. In this paper, we propose a new application
of IRS for device-free target sensing via joint location and orientation
estimation. In particular, different from the existing works that use IRS as an
additional anchor node for localization/sensing, we consider mounting IRS on
the sensing target, whereby estimating the IRS's location and orientation as
that of the target by leveraging IRS's controllable signal reflection. To this
end, we first propose a tensor-based method to acquire essential angle
information between the IRS and the sensing transmitter as well as a set of
distributed sensing receivers. Next, based on the estimated angle information,
we formulate two optimization problems to estimate the location and orientation
of the IRS/target, respectively, and obtain the locally optimal solutions to
them by invoking two iterative algorithms, namely, gradient descent method and
manifold optimization. In particular, we show that the orientation estimation
problem admits a closed-form solution in a special case that usually holds in
practice. Furthermore, theoretical analysis is conducted to draw essential
insights into the proposed sensing system design and performance. Simulation
results verify our theoretical analysis and demonstrate that the proposed
methods can achieve high estimation accuracy which is close to the theoretical
bound.Comment: 30page
Investigation on dynamic characteristics of mechanical assembly
Mechanical assembly is important process affecting product dynamic quality. To completely inspect assembly quality, dynamic characteristic analysis is necessary. Based on substructuring dynamic analysis, this paper theoretically analyzes the changes of dynamic characteristics due to assembling process. Assembly coupling dynamic stiffness computed by inverse substructuring analysis is considered as a critical measure on the changes. The results obtained have been well validated by a lumped-parameter model for two-level of substructures
Effect of sodium hyaluronate in treating fungal corneal ulcer
AIM: To retrospectively analyze the effects of sodium hyaluronate in treating fungal corneal ulcer.<p>METHODS: Since June, 2006, there were 178 patients(178 eyes)with fungal corneal ulcer receiving medical treatment in our hospital. Among them, 81 patients(81 eyes)as the control group received the traditional antifungal treatment with the natamycin and fluconazole being the major medicine, from June 2006 to June 2008. While, 97 patients(97 eyes)as the treatment group received sodium hyaluronate treatment based on traditional antifungal treatment during the period of June 2008 to March 2010. Effects of two therapeutic methods were compared and analyzed. <p>RESULTS: Of the 97 cases in the treatment group, the average hospital stay was: 14.15±4.23d, with 90 cases(92.8%)cured, 5 cases(5.2%)improved, 2 cases(2.1%)ineffective, the final visual acuity of 51.6% patients better than 0.3. Of the 81 cases in the control group, average hospital stay was: 17.26±6.23d, with 69 cases(85.2%)cured, 7 cases(8.6%)improved, 5 cases(6.2%)ineffective, the final visual acuity of 39.5% patients better than 0.3. After statistical analysis, the average hospital stay, the cure rate, the effective rate and the final visual acuity in both groups showed statistically significant difference(<i>P</i><0.05). The average hospital stay of the treatment group was shorter than that of the control group, while the cure rate and effective rate and the final visual acuity was better than that of the control group.<p>CONCLUSION: Sodium hyaluronate can promote fungal corneal ulcer healing, improve the cure rate and reduce the formation of corneal scar
Identification of Seawater Quality by Multivariate Statistical Analysis in Xisha Islands, South China Sea
Xisha waters are considered to be in pristine condition, while facing the fast increasing stress under anthropogenic activities. Water quality around Yongxing Island (YX) has been measured in May, 2012. The results show that the water quality is of the first class standards as compared to the water quality of China, with insignificant difference among the monitoring stations. Robust principal component analysis (PCA) was used to identify the spatial pattern of water quality. YX is characterized by high DO, salinity, and Chl-a with low nutrients, indicating phytoplankton photosynthesis is stronger in YX island waters than the rest of the study areas. Beidao (BD) is characterized by high NH4-N and COD, and low pH, implying that these areas may have higher organic matter decomposition than rest of the areas. The water quality monitoring stations should cover spatially and temporally around Xisha waters for protecting the marine environment
On the characteristics of meromorphic functions with three weighted sharing values
AbstractIn this paper, we deal with the relation between the characteristic function of two nonconstant meromorphic functions with three weighted sharing values, which improves a result given by H.X. Yi and Y.H. Li. From this we establish a theorem which improves a result given by P. Li and C.C. Yang
DETERMINATION OF SERUM ALBUMIN WITH TRIBROMOARSENAZO BY SPECTROPHOTOMETRY
The reaction of tribromoarsenazo(TB-ASA) with serum albumin in the presence of emulgent OP was studied by spectrophotometry. In a Britton-Robinson buffer solution at pH 2.9, tribromoarsenazo and bovine serum albumin can immediately form a red compound in the presence of emulgent OP with a maximum absorption wavelength at 354 nm. The presence of emulgent OP can increase the reaction sensitivity and the compound stability. The molar absorptivity of the compound is
ε354 nm = 6.13 x 105 M-1•cm-1. Beer's law is obeyed over the range of
5.0-75.0 mg•L-1 for bovine serum albumin.
The present method was applied to the determination of the total proteins in human serums with satisfactory results.
