    Mattering pedagogy in precarious times of (un)learning

    This paper considers how feminist new materialist thinking may offer a resource for re-orienting pedagogy and didactics in light of pressing global issues. In this respect, the paper applies feminist new materialist thinking in a somewhat normative agenda. However, pedagogy and didactics are always already normative, or are engaged in practices that play a role in as well doing ‘business as usual’ or in assisting in opening up to various, yet more un-usual ways of relating and being of the world. Pedagogy is a worlding practice, specifically, as it facilitates ways of relating, thinking, sensing, acting, and is involved in the shaping of a ’collective intelligence’. I argue that one fruitful approach may be to focus on entanglements and affects and on finding ways of facilitating a sensing living/being of such entanglements. The paper concludes by introducing affective geology to suggest possible steps towards a transformation of our ways of knowing, sensing, and relating

    Hunting through poststructuralist feminist theories of the body, this article presents building blocks for a theory of bodily subjectification processes which works against generalising ideas and which prove useful for complex analytical investigations of how we become subjects in a bodily sense. The building blocks presented includes 1) Viewing the body as in a constant process of becoming). 2) Conceptualizing the body in intra-activity with other elements – bodily becoming is dependent upon other bodies and artefacts with which the body infolds. 3) Setting the body between sedimentation and change. These ideas are drawn from Judith Butler’s concept of performativity, Karen Barad’s theorization of materialization processes and Bruno Latour’s Actor Network Theory.     Artiklens ambition er at integrere komponen- terne tid og rum i et socialpsykologisk studie af subjektivering. Inspirationen trækkes fra Ka- ren Barads abstrakte arbejde med at tænke ma- terialisering gennem kvantefysikken, et arbejde som præsenterer en gentænkning af tid-rum langs med kvantefysikkens forståelse af disse komponenter. Artiklen bruger et empirisk stu- die af elevers skoleskift som afsæt til at tænke tid-rum som aktive transformative agenter i subjektets tilblivelse. Her rejses teoretiske, me- todologiske og analysestrategiske spørgsmål i forhold til, hvordan man kan studere tid og rum i subjekt konstituering. Artiklen under- søger endvidere hvilken status man kan give til interviews i studiet af materialiseringspro- cesser og processer af konstituering af tid og rum i forlængelse af ‘den materielle vending’

    The ‘WHAT OF’ and the ‘WHAT IF’ of Agential Realism – In Search of the Gendered Subject

    The article explores Karen Barad’s theoretical framework, agential realism, to seek out theoretical perspectives that can be used as analytical approaches to empirical data. By selecting two pieces of data we aim to illustrate the analytical possibilities offered by this approach. The first piece of data stipulates an opening of ‘WHAT OF’ of the activities in a world of computer games: WHAT OF the myriad of real and virtual voices, sentiments and actions and their interconnections and meaning for gendered subjectification? The second piece is guided by ‘WHAT IF’ thinking: WHAT would we be able to see IF we brought insights from quantum physics, i.e. spacetimemattering, to the conception of thinking subjects. The examples show that agential realism offers a theoretical framework that allows access to a much wider set of enacting forces to be considered in the analysis. By reading agential realism diffractively with two different empirical examples and two different research ambitions, our attention is drawn to specificities of what the engagements may enact consequently

    Psy-ledelse. Nye former for (skole)ledelse set igennem tre optikker

    De seneste år er ”stærk”, ”effektiv”, ”professionel” og ”succesfuld” ledelse af / i uddannelsesinstitutioner blevet efterspurgte størrelser. Det skal ses i sammenhæng med de sidste årtiers New Public Management og mere omfattende reorganisering og modernisering af den offentlige sektor. For at imødekomme de forskellige og undertiden modsætningsfyldte krav, skolen møder såvel internt som eksternt, anvender skolerne og deres aktører i dag det, man ofte kalder bløde ledelsesteknologier og -praksisser, dvs. en art psy-ledelse, der trækker på psykologien og pædagogikkens professioner og begreber. De nye former for ledelse rekonstruerer “de/t, der skal ledes” på et mere omfattende niveau, og denne (re) konstruktion af ”de/t, der skal ledes” har (uintenderede) og undertiden kontraproduktive konsekvenser. Frem for at undersøge den succesfulde eller effektive skoleledelse, sætter vi i artiklen spot på effekterne af skoleledelse og på, hvordan psy-ledelse sætter betingelserne for styring og udvikling på ny og måske mere udfordrende måder. Vores særlige ”touch” er et fokus på, hvordan ledelse spiller sammen med menneskelige tilblivelser, og hvordan menneskelige tilblivelser igen sætter betingelser for ledelse. De optikker, vi ser skoleledelse igennem er affektivisering, virtualisering og materialisering og vi forsøger på den måde at konstruere mere præcise optikker, der sensitivt kan dissekere og beskrive ”det krydspres af forventninger” og ”den stigende kompleksitet”, der endnu ikke er et sensitivt nok sprog for. Det er artiklens håb, at sådanne optikkers brugbarhed også vil være genkendelige inden for ledelse i den offentlige sektor mere bredt set og i den private sektor, hvor psy-ledelse trænger sig på som svar på sammensatte forventninger, krav om øget produktivitet og international konkurrence
