    Currently, soil heavy metal contamination is a severe issue, particularly with Cd pollution. The metal tolerance protein (MTP) proteins, as plant divalent cation transporters, play a crucial role in the transport and tolerance of heavy metals in plants. This study conducted comprehensive identification and characterization of the MTP gene family in the tulip. A total of 11 TgMTP genes were identified and phylogenetically classified into three subfamilies. Conserved motif and gene structure analyses unveiled commonalities and variations among subfamily members. Expression profiling demonstrated several TgMTPs were markedly upregulated under Cd exposure, including the TgMTP7.1. Heterologous expression in yeast validated that TgMTP7.1 could ameliorate Cd sensitivity and enhance its tolerance. These results provide primary insights into the MTP gene family in tulip. Phylogenetic relationships and functional analyses establish a framework for elucidating the transporters and molecular mechanisms governing Cd accumulation and distribution in tulip. Key TgMTPs identified, exemplified by TgMTP7.1, may illuminate molecular breeding efforts aimed at developing Cd-tolerant cultivars for the remediation of soil Cd contamination.</p

    <p>Microbial transglutaminase (MTG) is an enzyme widely used in the food industry. Mutiple-site mutagenesis of <i>Streptomyces mobaraensis</i> transglutaminase was performed in <i>Escherichia coli</i>. According to enzymatic assay and thermostability study, among three penta-site MTG mutants (DM01-03), DM01 exhibited the highest enzymatic activity of 55.7 ± 1.4 U/mg and longest half-life at 50 °C (418.2 min) and 60 °C (24.8 min).</p

    Z hlediska konceptu tzv. velkých a politických dějin1 se údolí Albeřického a Lysečinského potoka nachází zcela na okraji. O třech vesnicích, které se rozkládají podél vodotečí po stráních údolí, nelze použít příliš mnoho objektivních superlativů. Nebylo zde ani nejstarší osídlení v Krkonoších, nepochází odtud žádná veřejně známá osobnost, neodehrála se zde žádná bitva ani setkání panovníků, není to průmyslově, zemědělsky, kulturně či turisticky věhlasné místo, zdejší obce nezanikly po odsunu původního německého obyvatelstva, ani nevykazují znaky zdevastované krajiny. Údolí je zajímavé samo o sobě, svou existencí a osudem všech lidí, kteří v něm žili a ovlivňovali krajinu, do které je zasazeno. Pro mne je údolí zajímavé a blízké i tím, že do něho patřím již 28 let. Subjektivní ponoření a osobní zaujetí pro téma je pro mne východiskem, fokus na konkrétní místo v konkrétním čase a na konkrétní lidi je páteří mé práce, respektování kritické metody pramenů je určujícím rámcem. Z této premisy vychází důraz, který kladu na osobní vzpomínky lidí, kteří v dané době v údolí žili nebo jím prošli
