Legal and Political Rights Advocacy in Wrongful Conviction Death Penalty Cases in China: A Study of the Leping Case of Injustice
The problem of wrongful conviction has become more widely acknowledged in China today. Drawing on a study of the Leping case of injustice, in which four defendants were convicted of rape and murder and sentenced to death for a crime they had not committed, this article discusses how the efforts of correcting it meet a deadlock in China’s judicial system, and how, in this circumstance, Chinese civil society initiates and runs a network advocacy aiming at breaking the deadlock and advancing the correction
Spin- Rational -system
Bethe ansatz equations for spin- Heisenberg spin chain with are
significantly more difficult to analyze than the spin- case, due
to the presence of repeated roots. As a result, it is challenging to derive
extra conditions for the Bethe roots to be physical and study the related
completeness problem. In this paper, we propose the rational -system for the
XXX spin chain. Solutions of the proposed -system give all and only
physical solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations required by completeness. The
rational -system is equivalent to the requirement that the solution and the
corresponding dual solution of the -relation are both polynomials, which we
prove rigorously. Based on this analysis, we propose the extra conditions for
solutions of the XXX Bethe ansatz equations to be physical.Comment: 37 page

Does acupuncture improve the outcome of in vitro fertilisation? Guidance for future trials
Abstract Introduction The comprehensive review was to appraise the current evidence from both randomized and non-randomized trials by using both Chinese and western databases and to highlight the issues which could guide future trial design. Many infertile couples have chosen acupuncture as an adjunct when they undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) treatment. More than forty trials have emerged since the first clinical research published in 1999 explored the effects of acupuncture on the outcomes of IVF. However, the current evidence makes it difficult for clinical practitioners and patients to make a decision on whether to choose acupuncture as an adjunct when undergoing IVF or ICSI treatment. Methodology A total of thirty-three randomized and 5 non-randomized controlled trials were included in the review. Results Based on this comprehensive review and analysis of all the relevant trials, the authors identify the factors which have contributed to these inconsistencies, and which should be considered in the design of future studies. Discussion/conclusions These items included in the review could provide useful recommendations and guidelines, which will in turn promote better trial design and improve the evidence base for the use of acupuncture for IVF
Study on thermal health and its safety management mode for the working environment
Thermal health concerns have gained significant attention due to the heightened health risks faced by workers who are exposed to extreme thermal environments for prolonged periods. To ensure the occupational health and safety of such workers, and to enhance work efficiency, it is imperative to examine the characteristics of thermal health in the working environment. This study proposes three key elements of thermal health in the working environment, namely thermal health states, absence of heat-related illnesses, and heat adaptability, which can be used to develop a safety management framework for thermal health. By exploring the interconnections between these elements, the study summarizes their features and outlines the necessary precautions to safeguard them. The PDCA (plan/do/check/action) cycle management mode is utilized as a framework, with the three components of thermal health forming the core, to establish a safety management mode for thermal health. To ensure that employees work in a safe, healthy, comfortable, and productive environment, the assessment and control objectives of the thermal environment are regularly revised through the use of labor protection technology and thermal environment control technology. This paper presents a PDCA cycle safety management mode based on the characteristics of thermal health, which offers novel insights and approaches for assessing and managing workers’ thermal health
