Existence of solutions for a class of fourth-order m-point boundary value problems
Some existence criteria are established for a class of fourth-order -point boundary value problem by using the upper and lower solution method and the Leray-Schauder continuation principle
The upper and lower solution method for nonlinear third-order three-point boundary value problem
This paper is concerned with the following nonlinear third-order three-point boundary value problem
\left\{
\begin{array}{l}
u^{\prime \prime \prime }(t)+f\left( t,u\left( t\right) ,u^{\prime}\left(t\right) \right) =0,\, t\in \left[ 0,1\right], \\
u\left( 0\right) =u^{\prime }\left( 0\right) =0,\, u^{\prime}\left( 1\right) =\alpha u^{\prime }\left( \eta \right),\label{1.1}

where and A new maximum principle is established and some existence criteria are obtained for the above problem by using the upper and lower solution method
Identify submitochondria and subchloroplast locations with pseudo amino acid composition: Approach from the strategy of discrete wavelet transform feature extraction
AbstractIt is very challenging and complicated to predict protein locations at the sub-subcellular level. The key to enhancing the prediction quality for protein sub-subcellular locations is to grasp the core features of a protein that can discriminate among proteins with different subcompartment locations. In this study, a different formulation of pseudoamino acid composition by the approach of discrete wavelet transform feature extraction was developed to predict submitochondria and subchloroplast locations. As a result of jackknife cross-validation, with our method, it can efficiently distinguish mitochondrial proteins from chloroplast proteins with total accuracy of 98.8% and obtained a promising total accuracy of 93.38% for predicting submitochondria locations. Especially the predictive accuracy for mitochondrial outer membrane and chloroplast thylakoid lumen were 82.93% and 82.22%, respectively, showing an improvement of 4.88% and 27.22% when other existing methods were compared. The results indicated that the proposed method might be employed as a useful assistant technique for identifying sub-subcellular locations. We have implemented our algorithm as an online service called SubIdent (http://bioinfo.ncu.edu.cn/services.aspx)
Two Photon Decays of from Lattice QCD
We present an exploratory lattice study for the two-photon decay of
using twisted mass lattice QCD gauge configurations generated by the
European Twisted Mass Collaboration. Two different lattice spacings of
fm and fm are used in the study, both of which are of
physical size of 2. The decay widths are found to be KeV for the
coarser lattice and KeV for the finer lattice respectively where the
errors are purely statistical. A naive extrapolation towards the continuum
limit yields KeV which is smaller than the previous
quenched result and most of the current experimental results. Possible reasons
are discussed.Comment: 13 pages, 7 figures; matches the published versio

Metabolic Interaction of the Active Constituents of Coptis chinensis
Coptis chinensis is commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine. The study investigated metabolic interaction of the active constituents (berberine, coptisine, palmatine, and jatrorrhizine) of Coptis chinensis in human liver microsomes. After incubation of the four constituents of Coptis chinensis in HLMs, the metabolism of the four constituents was observed by HPLC. The in vitro inhibition experiment between the active constituents was conducted, and IC50 value was estimated. Coptisine exhibited inhibitions against the formation of the two metabolites of berberine with IC50 values of 6.5 and 8.3 μM, respectively. Palmatine and jatrorrhizine showed the weaker inhibitory effect on the formation of the metabolites of berberine. Berberine showed a weak inhibitory effect on the production of coptisine metabolite with an IC50 value of 115 μM, and palmatine and jatrorrhizine had little inhibitory effect on the formation of coptisine metabolite. Berberine, coptisine, and jatrorrhizine showed no inhibitory effect on the generation of palmatine metabolite (IC50 > 200 μM). The findings suggested that there are different degrees of metabolic interaction between the four components. Coptisine showed the strongest inhibition toward berberine metabolism
Data Processing Pipeline for Pointing Observations of Lunar-based Ultraviolet Telescope
We describe the data processing pipeline developed to reduce the pointing
observation data of Lunar-based Ultraviolet Telescope (LUT), which belongs to
the Chang'e-3 mission of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program. The pointing
observation program of LUT is dedicated to monitor variable objects in a
near-ultraviolet (245-345 nm) band. LUT works in lunar daytime for sufficient
power supply, so some special data processing strategies have been developed
for the pipeline. The procedures of the pipeline include stray light removing,
astrometry, flat fielding employing superflat technique, source extraction and
cosmic rays rejection, aperture and PSF photometry, aperture correction, and
catalogues archiving, etc. It has been intensively tested and works smoothly
with observation data. The photometric accuracy is typically ~0.02 mag for LUT
10 mag stars (30 s exposure), with errors come from background noises,
residuals of stray light removing, and flat fielding related errors. The
accuracy degrades to be ~0.2 mag for stars of 13.5 mag which is the 5{\sigma}
detection limit of LUT.Comment: 10 pages, 7 figures, 4 tables. Minor changes and some expounding
