Modelling quality dynamics on business value and firm performance in big data analytics environment
Big data analytics have become an increasingly important component for firms across advanced economies. This paper examines the quality dynamics in big data environment that are linked with enhancing business value and firm performance. The study identifies that system quality (i.e., system reliability, accessibility, adaptability, integration, response time and privacy) and information quality (i.e., completeness, accuracy, format and currency) are key to enhance business value and firm performance in a big data environment. The study also proposes that the relationship between quality and firm performance is mediated by business value of big data. Drawing on the resource based theory and the information systems success literature, this study extends knowledge in this domain by linking system quality, information quality, business value and firm performance
The branch processes of vortex filaments and Hopf Invariant Constraint on Scroll Wave
In this paper, by making use of Duan's topological current theory, the
evolution of the vortex filaments in excitable media is discussed in detail.
The vortex filaments are found generating or annihilating at the limit points
and encountering, splitting, or merging at the bifurcation points of a complex
function . It is also shown that the Hopf invariant of knotted
scroll wave filaments is preserved in the branch processes (splitting, merging,
or encountering) during the evolution of these knotted scroll wave filaments.
Furthermore, it also revealed that the "exclusion principle" in some chemical
media is just the special case of the Hopf invariant constraint, and during the
branch processes the "exclusion principle" is also protected by topology.Comment: 9 pages, 5 figure
Knotted Topological Phase Singularities of Electromagnetic Field
In this paper, knotted objects (RS vortices) in the theory of topological
phase singularity in electromagnetic field have been investigated in details.
By using the -mapping topological current theory proposed by Prof. Duan,
we rewrite the topological current form of RS vortices and use this topological
current we reveal that the Hopf invariant of RS vortices is just the sum of the
linking and self-linking numbers of the knotted RS vortices. Furthermore, the
conservation of the Hopf invariant in the splitting, the mergence and the
intersection processes of knotted RS vortices is also discussed.Comment: 6 pages, no figures, author's name have been correcte
An Updated Search of Steady TeV Ray Point Sources in Northern Hemisphere Using the Tibet Air Shower Array
Using the data taken from Tibet II High Density (HD) Array (1997
February-1999 September) and Tibet-III array (1999 November-2005 November), our
previous northern sky survey for TeV ray point sources has now been
updated by a factor of 2.8 improved statistics. From to
in declination (Dec) range, no new TeV ray point
sources with sufficiently high significance were identified while the
well-known Crab Nebula and Mrk421 remain to be the brightest TeV ray
sources within the field of view of the Tibet air shower array. Based on the
currently available data and at the 90% confidence level (C.L.), the flux upper
limits for different power law index assumption are re-derived, which are
approximately improved by 1.7 times as compared with our previous reported
limits.Comment: This paper has been accepted by hepn
3D hierarchical porous graphene aerogel with tunable meso-pores on graphene nanosheets for high-performance energy storage
New and novel 3D hierarchical porous graphene aerogels (HPGA) with uniform and tunable meso-pores (e.g., 21 and 53 nm) on graphene nanosheets (GNS) were prepared by a hydrothermal self-assembly process and an in-situ carbothermal reaction. The size and distribution of the meso-pores on the individual GNS were uniform and could be tuned by controlling the sizes of the Co3O4 NPs used in the hydrothermal reaction. This unique architecture of HPGA prevents the stacking of GNS and promises more electrochemically active sites that enhance the electrochemical storage level significantly. HPGA, as a lithium-ion battery anode, exhibited superior electrochemical performance, including a high reversible specific capacity of 1100 mAh/g at a current density of 0.1 A/g, outstanding cycling stability and excellent rate performance. Even at a large current density of 20 A/g, the reversible capacity was retained at 300 mAh/g, which is larger than that of most porous carbon-based anodes reported, suggesting it to be a promising candidate for energy storage. The proposed 3D HPGA is expected to provide an important platform that can promote the development of 3D topological porous systems in a range of energy storage and generation fields
JUNO Conceptual Design Report
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is proposed to determine
the neutrino mass hierarchy using an underground liquid scintillator detector.
It is located 53 km away from both Yangjiang and Taishan Nuclear Power Plants
in Guangdong, China. The experimental hall, spanning more than 50 meters, is
under a granite mountain of over 700 m overburden. Within six years of running,
the detection of reactor antineutrinos can resolve the neutrino mass hierarchy
at a confidence level of 3-4, and determine neutrino oscillation
parameters , , and to
an accuracy of better than 1%. The JUNO detector can be also used to study
terrestrial and extra-terrestrial neutrinos and new physics beyond the Standard
Model. The central detector contains 20,000 tons liquid scintillator with an
acrylic sphere of 35 m in diameter. 17,000 508-mm diameter PMTs with high
quantum efficiency provide 75% optical coverage. The current choice of
the liquid scintillator is: linear alkyl benzene (LAB) as the solvent, plus PPO
as the scintillation fluor and a wavelength-shifter (Bis-MSB). The number of
detected photoelectrons per MeV is larger than 1,100 and the energy resolution
is expected to be 3% at 1 MeV. The calibration system is designed to deploy
multiple sources to cover the entire energy range of reactor antineutrinos, and
to achieve a full-volume position coverage inside the detector. The veto system
is used for muon detection, muon induced background study and reduction. It
consists of a Water Cherenkov detector and a Top Tracker system. The readout
system, the detector control system and the offline system insure efficient and
stable data acquisition and processing.Comment: 328 pages, 211 figure
Search for C-parity violation in and
Using events recorded in
collisions at 3.686 GeV with the BESIII at the BEPCII collider, we
present searches for C-parity violation in and decays via . No significant
signals are observed in either channel. Upper limits on the branching fractions
are set to be and
at the 90\%
confidence level. The former is one order of magnitude more stringent than the
previous upper limit, and the latter represents the first limit on this decay
channel.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure

Measurement of the proton form factor by studying
Using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider,
we measure the Born cross section of at 12
center-of-mass energies from 2232.4 to 3671.0 MeV. The corresponding effective
electromagnetic form factor of the proton is deduced under the assumption that
the electric and magnetic form factors are equal . In
addition, the ratio of electric to magnetic form factors, , and
are extracted by fitting the polar angle distribution of the proton
for the data samples with larger statistics, namely at 2232.4 and
2400.0 MeV and a combined sample at = 3050.0, 3060.0 and 3080.0 MeV,
respectively. The measured cross sections are in agreement with recent results
from BaBar, improving the overall uncertainty by about 30\%. The
ratios are close to unity and consistent with BaBar results in
the same region, which indicates the data are consistent with the
assumption that within uncertainties.Comment: 13 pages, 24 figure
Observation of the state in at BESIII
We report the observation of the in the process with a statistical
significance of , in data samples at center-of-mass energies
4.230, 4.260, 4.360, 4.420 and 4.600~GeV collected with the BESIII
detector at the BEPCII electron positron collider. The measured mass of the

statistical and the second systematic, and the width is less than ~MeV at
the 90\% confidence level. The products of the Born cross sections for
and the branching ratio are also measured. These measurements are in good
agreement with the assignment of the as the charmonium
state.Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures, version to appear in Phys. Rev. Let
