    High clarity speech separation using synchro extracting transform

    Degenerate unmixing estimation technique (DUET) is the most ideal blind source separation (BSS) method for underdetermined conditions with number of sources exceeds number of mixtures. Estimation of mixing parameters which is the most critical step in the DUET algorithm, is developed based on the characteristic feature of sparseness of speech signals in time frequency (TF) domain. Hence, DUET relies on the clarity of time frequency representation (TFR) and even the slightest interference in the TF plane will be detrimental to the unmixing performance. In conventional DUET algorithm, short time Fourier transform (STFT) is utilized for extracting the TFR of speech signals. However, STFT can provide on limited sharpness to the TFR due to its inherent conceptual limitations, which worsens under noise contamination. This paper presents the application of post-processing techniques like synchro squeezed transform (SST) and synchro extracting transform (SET) to the DUET algorithm, to improve the TF resolution. The performance enhancement is evaluated both qualitatively and quantitatively by visual inspection, Renyi entropy of TFR and objective measures of speech signals. The results show enhancement in TF resolution and high clarity signal reconstruction. The method also provides adequate robustness to noise contamination

    ABSTRACT: Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANETs) is a group of mobile nodes connected with wireless links. MANET has topology as the nodes are moving constantly form one position to another position. All the nodes must co-operate with each other in order to route the packets. Cooperating nodes must trust each other. In defining and managing trust in a army MANET, Therefore trust is vital sound which affects the performance of MANET. There are several protocols proposed based on the trust. Mobile Adhoc Network distress from security vulnerabilities because of its dynamic topology and open wireless medium. So there is a chance for malicious node to participate in the routing procedure and leads to the packet lose. In this paper, we develop a trust management scheme which enhances the security issues in Mobile Adhoc Network In the trust management scheme with trust value for each node will evaluate. The trust value calculated from two types of observation one is direct and another is indirect. Combining these two values we get a most accurate trust value then we evaluate the scheme under the circumstances of routing. By this process we can improve the security in Mobile Adhoc Network and increase the packet delivery ratio. This paper is a study trust model based protocols and it proposes some new techniques on trust model management ,security enhancement and QoS in MANETs

    Antipsoriatic activity of Cassia auriculata L. flowers in Freund’s adjuvantformaldehyde induced animal model

    The plant Cassia auriculata L. belonging to the family Caesalpiniaceae (Leguminosae) used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine for the treatment of diabetes, ulcers, leprosy, conjunctivitis, liver and skin diseases. The present study aimed to evaluate the antipsoriatic effect of the ointments 0.5 and 1.0% (w/w) containing ethanol extract of the flowers of C. auriculata using complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) and induced animal model and also evaluated for its physical parameters. Antipsoriatic effect of 0.5 and 1.0% (w/w) ointments was evaluated by the phenotypic features (redness, erythema, and scales) in terms of psoriasis severity index (PSI) and histological features (epidermal thickness and degree of orthokeratosis). Evaluation of physical parameters for the prepared ointments showed satisfactory results with an acceptable condition of consistency for application. 0.5 and 1.0% (w/w) ointments treated animals showed a significant (*P <0.05) increase in the orthokeratinocyte layer and a significant (**P <0.01) reduction in the epidermal layer of skin treated with 1.0% (w/w) ointment with a progressive reduction (**P <0.01) in the severity of psoriatic lesions (erythema, redness, and scales) from day 7 to 21st day. The present investigations revealed that the flowers of Cassia auriculata possess antipsoriatic activity, confirming their traditional use in skin disorders

    Evaluation of herbal ointment containing ethanol extract of Plecranthus amboinicus root for the management of psoriasis

    Plant, Plecranthus amboinicus (Lour.) Spreng, belonging to the family Lamiaceae, commonly known as ‘Karpuravalli’ in Tamil language is widely used in folk medicine to treat conditions like cold, asthma, constipation, headache, cough, fever and skin diseases. The present study aimed to evaluate antipsoriatic effect of the ethanol extract of Plecranthus amboinicus root. Ointment containing ethanolic extract of Plecranthus amboinicus root was prepared and evaluated for antipsoriatic activity using complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA) and formaldehyde induced animal model. Psoriasis is induced by applying mixture of 0.1 mL of prepared CFA and formaldehyde mixture (1:10 ratio) topically for 7 days on the dorsum surface of the skin of Swiss albino mice. Antipsoriatic effect of 0.5% and 1.0% (w/w) ointments containing ethanolic extract of Plecranthus amboinicus root was evaluated in terms of Psoriasis severity index (PSI) by the phenotypic features (redness, scales and erythema) and histological features (epidermal thickness). The result showed that there was a significant increase in the orthokeratinocyte layer and a significant reduction in the epidermal layer of skin in the in vivo mice model with a progressive reduction (p**<0.01) in the severity of psoriatic lesions (redness, erythema, and scales) from day 7 to 21st day and significant (p*<0.05) decreased epidermal thickness and increased orthokeratotic regions in animals treated with 0.5% and 1.0% (w/w) ointments of Plecranthus amboinicus root. The present investigations revealed that Plecranthus amboinicus root possess potent antipsoriatic activity, confirming their traditional use in skin disorders

    Moisture management is a critical feature of any sportswear, as it improves the fabric's comfort level. Comfort differs from person to person depending upon the perception of the wearer. Comfort is the relation between a psychological and physiological behavior of the wearer. The moisture transmission of the fabric is the key determinant of thermophysiological comfort. The moisture management features of trilayer knitted fabrics constructed of a range of yarns on the inner and outer sides, including micro denier filament polyester, Monofilament, wool, bamboo, and cotton, are examined in this article. The sample B/MDPF/C, which included an inner layer of bamboo, a middle layer of Micro denier Filament polyester, and an outer layer of cotton shows appreciable moisture management property, providing an excellent comfort nature due to its appreciable property required for a moisture management fabric
