Humanidades y filosof铆a en el curr铆culo dominicano en los siglos XIX y XX
This presentation analyzes Dominican thought and the role of the humanities and philosophy in the curriculum during the 19th and 20th centuries. Afterwards, the reasons that motivated the exclusion of philosophy in the curriculum put into effect by Ordinance 1'95 are studied. In addition, the challenges of including it in the Secondary Level Academic Modality are presented from the perspective of a revised and updated curriculum with a competence approach. The contributions of public and private institutions in the insertion of philosophy and the challenges of including it from a critical and analytical perspective are addressed
