Creative use of audiovisual technologies in contemporary czech alternative theatre

Nedílnou součástí současného divadelního umění je využívání moderních audiovizuálních technologií, zejména digitálních technologií a nových médií. Je zjevné, že nejprogresivněji se jejich využití rozvíjí v postdramatických divadelních formách jako je moderní tanec, performing art, pohybové, výtvarné a experimentální divadlo, pro které se v Čechách vžilo (poněkud nepřesné) souhrnné označení "Alternativní divadlo". První část bakalářské práce sleduje historický vývoj používání audiovizuálních technologií na českých divadelních scénách. Ukazuje, že až do padesátých let dvacátého století patřily české avantgardní divadelní experimenty ve zkoumaném oboru k celosvětově nejprogresivnějšímu proudu, a zároveň hledá příčiny toho, proč využívání technologií v současné české divadelní praxi ve velké míře pokulhává za světovými tendencemi. Druhá - stěžejní - část bakalářské práce si klade za cíl alespoň částečně zmapovat současné progresivní tendence v českém alternativním divadle. K podrobné analýze byla vybrána tvorba dvou divadelních skupin, které se využíváním technologií ve svých projektech kontinuálně zabývají. První skupinou je Antena Theatre Groupe vedená Petrem Krušelnickým, druhou potom skupina Handa Gote - Research and Development. Jedním z podstatných cílů práce je ovšem také poukázat na fakt, že kvalitní a technologicky objevná divadelní díla vznikají v současnosti téměř výhradně mimo "mainstreem", na okraji zájmu široké veřejnosti, médií i státních institucí na podporu kultury

Simulation of Active Wheelset Steering for an Electric Locomotive

Reduction of the force interaction between vehicle and track is strongly desirable for many reasons. Because conventional methods of reduction of wheel-rail contact forces, based on tuning of vehicle suspension parameters or utilising various mechanisms acting between wheelsets, bogie-frames and car-body, reach their limits, active controlled systems are becoming a promising solution of the problem. The paper is created within the project which aim is to design a system of active wheelset steering for an electric four-axle locomotive. The project consists of three main stages: multibody simulations, scaled roller rig experiments and field tests. One of the important elements of wheelset steering system is the estimation of the actual track curvature. The paper focuses on the track curvature calculation based on the rotation of the bogies towards the bogie-frame. The method of track curvature calculation is proposed and assessed across varying track radiuses, vehicle speeds and friction conditions

Creative use of audiovisual technologies in contemporary czech alternative theatre

The use of modern audiovisual technologies, in particular digital technologies and new media is an inseparable part of contemporary theatre. It is apparent that most progressively it has been developing in post-dramatic theatre forms such as modern dance, performing art, motion, art and experimental theatre which were labeled in our country (quite inaccurately) as an "alternative theatre". The first part of my bachelor thesis follows the development of different uses of audiovisual technologies in Czech theatre. It shows that Czech avant-garde theatre experiments in the examined field of study belonged until the 1950ies to the most progressive worldwide movement and at the same time it looks for the reason why the use of technologies in contemporary theatre falls to a large degree behind the world trends. The second (principal) part of the thesis is aimed at the survey of contemporary progressive trends in the Czech alternative theatre. Two theatre groups that continuously deal with the use of technologies were selected to a thorough analysis. The first one is Antena Theatre Groupe led by Petr Krušelnický, the other one is Handa Gote ? Research and Development. One of fundamental aims of the thesis is to point out the fact that quality and technologically innovative theatre works have been recently created practically solely off the "mainstream", in the margins of public and media attention as well as state institutions supporting culture
