Analysis of the Y(4140) and related molecular states with QCD sum rules

    In this article, we assume that there exist scalar D∗Dˉ∗{D}^\ast {\bar {D}}^\ast, Ds∗Dˉs∗{D}_s^\ast {\bar {D}}_s^\ast, B∗Bˉ∗{B}^\ast {\bar {B}}^\ast and Bs∗Bˉs∗{B}_s^\ast {\bar {B}}_s^\ast molecular states, and study their masses using the QCD sum rules. The numerical results indicate that the masses are about (250−500)MeV(250-500) \rm{MeV} above the corresponding D∗−Dˉ∗{D}^\ast -{\bar {D}}^\ast, Ds∗−Dˉs∗{D}_s^\ast -{\bar {D}}_s^\ast, B∗−Bˉ∗{B}^\ast -{\bar {B}}^\ast and Bs∗−Bˉs∗{B}_s^\ast -{\bar {B}}_s^\ast thresholds, the Y(4140) is unlikely a scalar Ds∗Dˉs∗{D}_s^\ast {\bar {D}}_s^\ast molecular state. The scalar D∗Dˉ∗D^\ast {\bar D}^\ast, Ds∗Dˉs∗D_s^\ast {\bar D}_s^\ast, B∗Bˉ∗B^\ast {\bar B}^\ast and Bs∗Bˉs∗B_s^\ast {\bar B}_s^\ast molecular states maybe not exist, while the scalar Dâ€Č∗Dâ€Čˉ∗{D'}^\ast {\bar {D'}}^\ast, Dâ€Čs∗Dâ€Čˉs∗{D'}_s^\ast {\bar {D'}}_s^\ast, Bâ€Č∗Bâ€Čˉ∗{B'}^\ast {\bar {B'}}^\ast and Bâ€Čs∗Bâ€Čˉs∗{B'}_s^\ast {\bar {B'}}_s^\ast molecular states maybe exist.Comment: 19 pages, 36 figures, slight revisio

Another tetraquark structure in the π+χc1\pi^+ \chi_{c1} invariant mass distribution

In this article, we assume that there exists a scalar hidden charm tetraquark state in the π+χc1\pi^+ \chi_{c1} invariant mass distribution, and study its mass using the QCD sum rules. The numerical result MZ=(4.36±0.18)GeVM_{Z}=(4.36\pm0.18) \rm{GeV} is consistent with the mass of the Z(4250). The Z(4250) may be a tetraquark state, other possibilities, such as a hadro-charmonium resonance and a D1+Dˉ0+D+Dˉ10D_1^+\bar{D}^0+ D^+\bar{D}_1^0 molecular state are not excluded.Comment: 14 pages, 14 figure, correct some type error

Positive Parity Scalar Mesons in the 1-2 GeV Mass Range

Based on the observation that K_0(1430) is lighter than its SU_3 counterpart, a_0(1450), we examine the possibility that these particles, together with f_0(1370), f_0(1500) and f_0(1710), fill a tetraquark recurrence of the sub-GeV 0^{++} nonet mixed with a glueball state. We find the picture to be consistent with the known data about the three f_0 resonances, more than the q-qbar hypothesis. Conventional spin-orbit coupling suggests the q-qbar, P-wave, nonet to lie around 1200 MeV. We review possible experimental indications of a scalar isovector resonance at 1.29 GeV, first observed by OBELIX in p-pbar annihilation.Comment: 12 pages, 9 figures. Extended version. In this article, we study the vertexes ΞQ∗ΞQâ€ČV\Xi_Q^*\Xi'_Q V and ÎŁQ∗ΣQV\Sigma_Q^* \Sigma_Q V with the light-cone QCD sum rules, then assume the vector meson dominance of the intermediate ϕ(1020)\phi(1020), ρ(770)\rho(770) and ω(782)\omega(782), and calculate the radiative decays ΞQ∗→ΞQâ€ČÎł\Xi_Q^*\to \Xi'_Q \gamma and ÎŁQ∗→ΣQÎł\Sigma_Q^*\to \Sigma_Q \gamma.Comment: 28 pages, 4 tables, revised versio

    DsD_s decays into ϕ\phi and f0(980)f_0(980) mesons

We consider the nonleptonic and semileptonic decays of DsD_s-mesons into ϕ\phi and f0(980)f_0(980) mesons. QCD sum rules are used to calculate the form factors associated with these decays, and the correspondig decay rates. On the basis of data on Ds+→π+π+π−D_s^+\to\pi^+\pi^+\pi^-, which goes dominantly via the transition Ds+→π+f0(980)D_s^+\to \pi^+f_0(980), we conclude that there is space for a sizeable light quark component on f0(980)f_0(980).Comment: 14 pages, RevTeX4 including 5 figures in ps file

The pattern of growth hormone secretion during the menstrual cycle in normal and depressed women

Objective Major depression is associated to altered hypothalamic pituitary function. Stress is linked to elevated cortisol as well as menstrual cycle disturbance; however, there is no known relationship between depression and menstrual cycle disruption. The aim of this study was to investigate changes of growth hormone (GH) secretion during the menstrual cycle in normal and depressed women. Design Case-control study. Patients and methods Nineteen women affected with depression and 24 normal controls were included. The two groups had comparable body mass index (BMI), and age (29·4 ±9·8 vs. 28·6 ± 9·7 years). Nine depressed and 10 controls were studied in the follicular phase, while 10 depressed and 14 controls were studied in the luteal phase of the cycle. GH was sampled every 10 min for 24 h, and the data were analysed by the cluster pulse detection method. Results There was no difference in 24-h mean GH concentrations between depressed and control subjects (P =0·93), even after accounting for menstrual cycle phase (P = 0·38). GH pulse frequency was higher during the follicular phase of the cycle (P =0·032), and nocturnal GH was higher in the follicular phase of the cycle (P =0·05, and after adjusting for 24-h GH, P= 0·0138) regardless of whether thesubjects were depressed or healthy. Conclusions In studies of GH secretion in women with or without depression, it is necessary to control for the phase of menstrual cycle.NIMH MH 50030 NICHD K12HD01438Peer Reviewedhttp://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/49486/2/KasaVubuYoung.pd

Inclusive production of ρ0(770),f0(980)\rho^{0}(770), f_0(980) and f2(1270)f_2(1270) mesons in ΜΌ\nu_{\mu} charged current interactions

The inclusive production of the meson resonances ρ0(770)\rho^{0}(770), f0(980)f_0(980) and f2(1270)f_2(1270) in neutrino-nucleus charged current interactions has been studied with the NOMAD detector exposed to the wide band neutrino beam generated by 450 GeV protons at the CERN SPS. For the first time the f0(980)f_{0}(980) meson is observed in neutrino interactions. The statistical significance of its observation is 6 standard deviations. The presence of f2(1270)f_{2}(1270) in neutrino interactions is reliably established. The average multiplicity of these three resonances is measured as a function of several kinematic variables. The experimental results are compared to the multiplicities obtained from a simulation based on the Lund model. In addition, the average multiplicity of ρ0(770)\rho^{0}(770) in antineutrino - nucleus interactions is measured.Comment: 23 pages, 14 figures, 8 tables. To appear in Nucl. Phys.
