Deciphering the period spacing pattern in the oscillation spectrum of the SPB star KIC 7760680

We present the analysis of KIC 7760680, the rotating Slowly Pulsating B-type star identified in the Kepler photometry. The oscillation spectrum of the star exhibits a series of 36 frequencies which are quasi-equally spaced in period. We confirm that this series can be associated with prograde dipole modes of consecutive radial orders. In our studies, the effects of rotation were included in the MESA equilibrium models as well as in the puslational calculations in the framework of the traditional approximation. We find that pulsational models computed with the OPLIB opacities best reproduce the observed frequency range. The modified opacity data with an enhancement of the opacity at $\log T=5.3$, 5.46 and 5.06 were tested as well. Increasing the OPLIB opacities by about 50% at $\log T=5.3$ is sufficient to excite modes in the whole range of 36 frequency peaks of KIC 7760680.Comment: proceedings of the Joint TASC2 - KASC9 Workshop - SPACEINN - HELAS8 Conference "Seismology of the Sun and the Distant Stars 2016", to be published by the EPJ Web of Conference

Criteria of evaluation of educational functions of university libraries

Zachowanie użytkowników systemu bibliotecznego dowodzi, że są oni nieprzygotowani do korzystania z wszystkich narzędzi oferowanych przez system. Nie znają na przykład różnorodnych technik wyszukiwania informacji i nie potrafią sformułować poprawnie wyrażenia wyszukiwawczego. Biblioteki, poprzez swoje funkcje edukacyjne, mogą podnieść ocenę samego systemu. Artykuł wskazuje na konkretne działania, które należałoby podjąć w tym kierunku, na przykładzie doświadczeń Biblioteki Instytutu Informatyki Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego.The behaviour of library system users proves that they are unprepared to use all the tools offered by s system. For example, they don't know various techniques of information searching and are not able to formulate queries and requests. Libraries, through their educational activities, can raise the appreciation of the quality of their systems. The paper suggests such activities based on experienced of the library of the Institute of Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University

Celem badań było poznanie opinii użytkowników nowego systemu. Wnioski wypływające z ankiety zostaną wykorzystane przy modyfikacji systemu.The Library of the Institute of Computer Science, Jagiellonian University, after a few years of VTLS system implementation (in cooperation with the Jagiellonian Library), has surveyed its users.
