Penerbitan ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya bahan dokumentasi tentang penelitian sastra di Indonesia.     Merkuri merupakan logam berat yang sangat toksik terhadap organisme. Penggunaannyadalam aktivitas tertentu menyebabkan merkuri disebarkan ke lingkungan diantaranya melaluibahan pertanian, obat-obatan, cat, kertas, pertambangan serta sisa buangan industri.Penelitian bertujuan untuk melakukan fitoremediasi logam merkuri (Hg) pada tanahmenggunakan tanamanCelosia plumosa(Voss) Burv. Penelitian menggunakan RancanganAcak Kelompok dengan 4 perlakuan (sumber tanah) dan 3 kelompok, 5 tanaman Celosiaplumosa (Voss) Burv. setiap unit penelitian. Analisis kandunga merkuri (Hg) tanah (sebelumdan setelah fitoremediasi) dan jaringan tanaman menggunakan Spektrofotometer SerapanAtom. Data yang diperoleh diolah secara statistik dengan Analisi variansi (Anova) dan ujilanjut Beda Nyata terkecil (BNT). Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa kandunganmerkuri (Hg) pada tanah dan tanaman setelah fitoremediasi tidak berbeda nyata. Keempatjenis tanah tersebut memiliki kandungan merkuri (Hg) tinggi diatas ambang bataskandungan merkuri (Hg) alami tanah. Fitoremediasi menggunakan Celosia plumosa (Voss)Burv. mampu menurunkan kandungan merkuri (Hg) pada keempat jenis tanah(81,25sampai 98,68%), bahkan pada tanah kebun dan tanah sawah reduksi kandungan merkuri(Hg) mencapai nilai dibawah ambang batas kandungan merkuri (Hg) alami tana

    This study aims to determine the content of cadmium (Cd) in contaminated soil at the Tamangapa Antang Final Disposal Site (FDS), Makassar and to know the content of 2 types of ornamental plants in accumulating heavy metal cadmium (Cd). The research was conducted by analyzing the content of the cadmium (Cd) in polluted soil taken from the FDS Tamangapa Antang landfill, Makassar. The soil was used as a planting medium for 2 types of ornamental plants in a planter bag consisting of 3 plants for each type of ornamental plant. Observation of the growth of plant species was carried out for 12 weeks. The observed parameters consist of plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, length and width of leaves, biomass, metal removal and metal absorption efficiency. The results showed that the content of the cadmium (Cd) for the initial analysis of landfill soil had exceeded the park limit value of 0.53 μg/g. After using phytoremediation using Impatiens balsamina L. and Mirabilis jalapa L., both types of plants showed very good growth. Plant harvesting was done at 12 MST. The results of the final analysis of the cadmium (Cd) content in Impatiens balsamina planting medium soil was 0.1841 µg/g, while in plants it was 0.1306 µg/g. In the Mirabilis jalapa planting medium was 0.2061 μg/g, while in plants it was 0.1694 μg/g. The result of the analysis of biomass on flowering Impatiens balsamina L. and Mirabilis jalapa L. were 13.09% and 27.84%, metal removal was 34.73% and 38.88% and cadmium absorption efficiency was 24.64% dan 31.96%. The This shows that Impatiens balsamina and Mirabilis jalapa are able to accumulate the heavy metal cadmium in polluted soil

    Research on the growth response of Red Cockscomb Plant Celosia plumosa (Voss) Burv. on contaminated soils heavy metal Cadmium (Cd) has been carried out from March to July 2016 in Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Hasanuddin University. The aims of this research is to find out the growth response of red Cockscomb Celosia plumosa (Voss) Burv. on the ground of cadmium heavy metals (Cd) and its potential as phytoremediation agent of Cd metal on soil. The study was arranged in a Randomized Block Design, 4 treatments (source of sewage sludge land, garden soils, rice field and landfill or final waste disposal) and 3 groups. The cadmium content analysis was performed at Centerfor Health Laboratory of Makassar, South Sulawesi, using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). The data were tested by F test, the different significant result was followed by the Smallest Differential Test (SDT). The results of the analysis showed that the growth of Red Cockscomb Plant Celosia plumosa (Voss) Burv. plants able to live better (higher plants, more leaves and wet or dry weight higher) on the land from landfills (final waste disposal ) is compared to the other three sources of land
