Cantor's ternary function is generalized to arbitrary base-change functions in non-integer bases. Some of them share the curious properties of Cantor's function, while others behave quite differently

Las ideologías y trayectorias de los "nuevos hablantes" en las familias bilingües de Cataluña

Aquest article comença avaluant l'àmbit i els límits de la planificació lingüística familiar. Després, passa a examinar la barreja de factors que intervenen en les ideologies i trajectòries de les llengües. A continuació, dóna una breu descripció dels nous parlants del català i presenta dades sobre les llengües d’identificació i les llengües L1 a la Catalunya contemporània. S’analitzen detalladament catorze entrevistes amb parelles L1 castellà/català i castellà/francès. El treball conclou comentant les dades i oferint algunes conclusions.This article first evaluates the scope and limits of family language planning. Secondly, it assesses the intermingling of factors intervening in language ideologies and language trajectories. It then engages in a brief description of new speakers of Catalan. There follows a presentation of data on identification languages and L1 languages in contemporary Catalonia. Fourteen interviews with Spanish L1 partners in Spanish/Catalan and Spanish/French couples are then analyzed in detail. Lastly, the paper discusses the data and offers some conclusions.Este artículo empieza evaluando el ámbito y los límites de la planificación lingüística familiar. Después, pasa a examinar la mezcla de factores que intervienen en las ideologías y trayectorias de las lenguas. A continuación, da una breve descripción de los nuevos hablantes del catalán y presenta datos sobre las lenguas de identificación y las lenguas L1 en la Cataluña contemporánea. Se analizan detalladamente 14 entrevistas con parejas L1 castellano/catalán y castellano/francés. El trabajo concluye comentando los datos y ofreciendo algunas conclusiones
