A content analysis in reverse logistics: a review

The purpose of this paper is to provide a comprehensive review in the various publications on the concept of Reverse Logistics (RL) and the related areas within the period 1998-2012. The content analysis approach has been opted to collect the relevant information from different books, journals, and conferences. A broad review of literature in RL from its emergence until the recent discussions have been analyzed and compared in this research. The findings show that, the theoretical construct in RL has been initiated from the conjunction features in the waste management and logistics activities. This idea had been developed by introducing the new term as RL and its definitions and contents such as the activities; key drivers; barriers to use; material flow, and networks in RL. Furthermore, the findings present the various modelling in different aspects of RL, for instance, the mathematical modelling by applying the existence methods in Multi Attribute Decision-Making Models (MADM). In addition, the environmental concerns and governmental legislatives matters and impacts, which have been highlighted, recently, on RL have been deliberated. Hence, this paper would assist the researchers and practitioners to obtain a broad review of RL in the last decade and, also provide an agenda for the future researches

The article presents the survey conducted in the companies, operating at polish market, in different types of sector. All these companies have a marketing and management department and due to today’s polish market condition, they are constantly seeking for new employees. Also, they have some expectations in regards to them, which are, quite often, not fulfilled by the young people. This survey was conducted to show what are the real expectations from the employers and what skills are really needed for work in marketing and management department.Artykuł prezentuje badania przeprowadzone w firmach, działających na polskim rynku, w różnego rodzaju sektorach. Wszystkie badane firmy posiadają dział marketingu i zarządzania, i dzięki obecnej sytuacji na rynku, poszukują nowych pracowników. Evaluation of perception of the factors which affect the road safety by drivers

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań, których celem była ocena postrzegania czynników wpływających na stan bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego przez jego uczestników. Jednocześnie oceniano poziom wiedzy na temat bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego oraz to, w jaki sposób przekłada się on na zachowania kierujących. Uzyskane dane odniesiono do danych literaturowych i rocznych statystyk przyczyn wypadków udostępnianych przez Komendę Główną Policji. Do wskazania czynników wpływających na stan bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego posłużono się badaniem ankietowym. Przeprowadzono je wśród policjantów w czynnej służbie oraz pośród zwykłych użytkowników dróg. Ponieważ najwięcej wypadków drogowych powodowanych jest przez ludzi młodych, wśród ankietowanych wydzielono grupę 18-24 lat, dla której przeprowadzono osobną analizę odpowiedzi. Zgromadzone ankiety pozwoliły na wskazanie czynników, które w opinii respondentów w największym stopniu przyczyniają się do powstawania zdarzeń drogowych i braku bezpieczeństwa na drogach.The paper presents results of studies aimed to assess perceptions of the factors affecting road safety by its participants. At the same time was assessed the level of knowledge about road safety and how it reflects in the behavior of drivers. Collected data were referred to the literature and to annual accident statistics provided by the Police Headquarters. To identify the factors affecting road safety the survey method was used. It was conducted among police officers in active service, and among ordinary road users. Among the respondents was isolated group of 18-24 years, for which was conducted a separate analysis of responses, because of the fact, that most accidents are caused by young people. The collected survey allowed to identify the factors that has the largest contribution to road accidents and lack of safety on the roads in the respondent opinion

Habitual body posture and mountain position of people practising yoga

In the physical exercises of yoga (hatha yoga), the Mountain Pose is a basic arrangement of the body involving, among other things, active extension of the spine in the vertical axis and symmetrical arrangement of individual elements of the body. The aim of the study was to compare the difference between this posture and the relaxed stance in people doing hatha yoga. The study included 28 women and 8 men doing yoga aged 20-58. The study was carried out using the apparatus for computer assessment of posture of the MORA system.The study has shown that all the elements of body posture in the Mountain Pose are placed more correctly (according to the criterion of symmetry related to frontal and transverse planes). Differences in the placement of lines of the spinous processes and of the pelvis in the transverse plane were observed. The angles of inclination of the anteroposterior curvatures of the spine were smaller in the Mountain Pose than in the habitual one. It has been demonstrated that for people doing hatha yoga the Mountain Pose is a more correct (symmetrical) stance than the habitual one. Those who had been doing yoga longer and those who devoted more time to exercise per week were characterised by more correct body stance. The physical exercises of yoga shape the habit of correct stance. The arrangement of the body in the Mountain Pose in the light of the criteria of correct posture may be regarded as optimal

Using the online learning platform provides a dynamic training program at substantially reduced costs compared with the conventional systems. They ensure the development of a scalable products, secure online access to thousands of students even for distance learning, offering them the books available online, multimedia support, etc. Outside the curriculum it was developed a flexible verification and scoring system, uploading projects, maintaining a permanent online contact between students on the one side and between students and lecturers on the other side. In the online lessons there may be audio or video links between students and lecturer, when the session administrator believes that certain aspects need to be developed in this way. Lokalizacja i znaczenie logistyki w strukturze organizacyjnej przedsiębiorstwa

Taking into account the commercial evolutions, the three components (dimensions) of operational management may be emphasised, which support logistics, such as: management of flows necessary for responding to the intensification of the commercial exchanges; management of the interfaces used for responding to issues occurred and formation of the networks; management of sustaining the product, having as aim the improvement of the service at the client. The involvement of logistics leads to satisfying the client and reducing costs. In order to accomplish this performance, it is recommended to use four organising principles, namely: knowing and accelerating the flows of information; knowing and accelerating the flows of products; knowing and complying with the mutual commitments; knowing and managing the risk. (JEL: L21, M10).Biorąc pod uwagę rozwój ekonomiczny, należy wyróżnić trzy komponenty (wymiary) zarządzania operacyjnego, które wspierają logistykę: zarządzanie przepływami niezbędnymi do reagowania na wzmocnienie giełdy towarowej; zarządzanie obszarami wzajemnego oddziaływania wykorzystywanymi do reagowania na zaistniałe kwestie i przy tworzeniu sieci; zarządzanie podtrzymaniem produktu mając na celu polepszenie jakości obsługi klienta. Zaangażowanie w logistykę prowadzi do satysfakcji klienta oraz redukcji kosztów.
