Visual Design Face Painting: Language Expressions Stylized for Wayang Punakawan

On this research, the author focused on the scope of Punakawan face painting that expected to become a starting point from the first step in making the visual standardization proposals, which the visual variety of face painting Punakawan was not consistent yet. The research objective was to become one of the methods to re-popularizing by building a visual consistency in Punakawan face painting so that it became more modern and simple without losing the original characteristics of it. The method was performed in the visual design, from visual references research, visual analysis and matching with the characteristics of each character in Punakawan, visual sketching, and computerization process, up to become final visual artwork. The benefits of the research were to be a next visual research comparison, as well as a contribution in the form of visual work; face painting Wayang Punakawan in the further development of the creative economy entered a new era. This research finds that visually, it is the necessary continuation of the design, such as attribute, proportion, gestures, and other visual elements in Punakawan face painting and it is good for Punakawan studies and other Indonesian wayang figures

The Effect of Financial Ratio on Financial Distress in Predicting Bankruptcy

This study was conducted to investigate Financial Distress in mining companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2011-2014 period using the Altman Z-Score Modification. Total sample that gathered from mining companies is 119 companies, analytical techniques used in this study is the Altman Z-score that consists of four ratios, which are the Net Working Capital to Total Assets (X1), Retained Earnings to Total Assets (X2), Earnings Before Interest and Tax to Total asset (X3), Market Value of Equity to Book Value of Debt (X4.). This test used SPSS 22 to test the hypothesis, the hypothesis testing results are: Net Working Capital to Total Assets has a positive effect on Financial Distress, Retained Earnings to Total Assets has a positive effect on Financial Distress, Earnings Before Interest and Tax to Total Assets has a positive effect on Financial Distress, Book Value of Equity to Total Liabilities has a positive effect on Financial Distress. This study only used mining companies sector, the further research is recommended to use the other sector companies that have larger numbers of samples

Kecenderungan Pemberitaan Tentang Reshuffle Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu II Di SKH Jawa Pos Dan SKH Kompas

Bstract: It is President’s right to reshuffle the cabinet in order to maximise the government’s performance. However, the society views this process as politic matter, which they learn from the media. This research observes the news tendency about the reshuffle of Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu II in Kompas and Jawa Pos daily newspaper. Content analysis is used to the news accounts during September-October 2011 with Westerstahl‘s objectivity as conceptual preference. The result shows that both newspapers, technically, have given good coverage about the issue yet still less objective. Sistem Pemerolehan Informasi Undang-Undang dan Kasus Menggunakan Struktur Data Inverted Index dengan Pembobotan TF-IDF

Sejak tahun 1945, pertambahan dokumen Undang-Undang dan kasus-kasus pelanggaran yang semakin banyak hingga saat ini menyebabkan sulitnya menemukan pasal-pasal yang sesuai dengan kasus pelanggaran yang ada maupun dokumen kasus-kasus yang mirip dengan kasus terbaru. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka diperlukannya suatu sistem Pemerolehan Informasi untuk memudahkan pencarian. Pada Pemerolehan Informasi, proses pencarian menggunakan struktur data inverted index dan pembobotan kata-kata menggunakan metode pembobotan TF-IDF. Umumnya sistem Pemerolehan Informasi mencari dokumen dengan konsep query to document, maka penulis ingin melakukan penelitian menggunakan konsep document to document dengan pencocokan kamus yang diambil dari isi tentang pada setiap Undang-Undang. Percobaan ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan 100 dokumen kasus yang berisikan 40 term. Semua dokumen yang relevan dengan kata kunci yang berupa dokumen kasus dapat ditemukan kembali oleh sistem ini berdasarkan pencocokan kamus yang diambil dari isi tentang pada setiap Undang-Undang dengan operator OR. Komersialisasi Sewa Mux di TVRI Yogyakarta

Pelaksanaan siaran digital membawa konsekuensi seperti adopsi sistem multipleksing (mux). Di Indonesia, penyedia mux dipilih lewat tender kecuali untuk TVRI yang sudah pasti mendapat jatah. Penelitian studi kasus ini mengkaji sistem sewa mux di TVRI Yogyakarta menggunakan perspektif ekonomi politik untuk menguji adakah komersialisasi dijalankan dalam penyewaan mux. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komersialisasi adalah hal yang tidak terhindarkan dalam penyelenggaraan siaran digital. TVRI secara praktis mengambil manfaat atas penggunaan mux lewat skema penyewaan dan pemasaran yang aktif guna memenuhi target Penerimaan Negara Bukan Pajak. Narasi Dramatis Berita Tragedi Trisakti 1998

: Reviewing a news text narrative has strategic value due to mass media role to construct an empirical understanding and lead to collective memory reproduction of the reality constructed. This study analyzes the dramatic aspects related to human rights issues in the Trisakti tragedy of 1998 in the GATRA magazine using Seymour Chatman’s structural narative. The result shows that the dramatic intention is formed through the composition of story (plot, contingency, anachronistic narrative sequence, sequence repetition, omission events) and discourse (detail, coherence, active-passive sentence, lexicon, metaphor). News containing drama could create incomplete understanding of the reported reality.
