    Development Strategy of the Facility Traditional Fish Landing Sites (Mediator) in the Village of West Bagan, Bangko Subdistrict, Rokan Hilir, Riau Province

    Village of West Bagan is a village with a population of the second largest fishermen in the district of Bangko, RokanHilir, Riau Province. Fishermen of the West Bagan village, land and sell their catch in private mediators. However, the facilities available are not enough to meet the needs of fishing supplies consisting of fuel, fresh water and ice. Therefore, this research with survey method was undertaken to obtain the development strategy of the facility by using SWOT analysis. From 9 units mediator were still active, taken 3 units mediator as representatives of large, medium, and small category namely are consecutevely Jumadi mediator, Lausi mediator, dan Asmara mediator. Based on SWOT analysis has been done on each of the mediators obtained one most likely to be develop is mediator Jumadi. In the diagram strategy, mediator Jumadi located in quadrant I with the highest coordinate value, which is a provitable situation. Recommendations strategyis progressive, which means the mediator has the opportunity and the power that can take advantage of existing opportunities. The strategy applied in this condition is to support aggressive growth policy

    Comparison of residual salivary fluoride retention using amine fluoride toothpastes in caries-free and caries-prone children.

    This was to compare the salivary fluoride levels following tooth brushing with amine fluoride toothpastes containing three different concentrations of F (250 ppm F, 500 ppm F and 1250 ppm F) and to evaluate the effect of rinsing with water on the oral fluoride levels up to 90 min.A double blind randomised six-arm crossover study was conducted with 32 child participants. Patients were divided into two groups depending on their caries experience with caries-free group (n = 17, mean age = 72.9 months) and caries-prone group (n = 15, mean age = 69.6 months, mean dmfs = 12.3). Each participant brushed their teeth with a smear of dentifrice containing (250 ppm, 500 ppm and 1250 ppm F toothpastes) for 60 s. After spitting out the dentifrice/saliva slurry, participants either rinsed with water or did not rinse at all. Samples of whole mixed unstimulated saliva were collected at 0 (baseline), 1, 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 mins post-brushing/rinsing.After completing the study on residual fluoride concentration it was found that caries was not a significant variable (p = 0.567) while every other variable was (all p values 1000 ppm F concentration in children with an increased caries risk in addition to spitting excess toothpaste with no rinsing following brushing

    A "missing" family of classical orthogonal polynomials

    We study a family of "classical" orthogonal polynomials which satisfy (apart from a 3-term recurrence relation) an eigenvalue problem with a differential operator of Dunkl-type. These polynomials can be obtained from the little qq-Jacobi polynomials in the limit q=1q=-1. We also show that these polynomials provide a nontrivial realization of the Askey-Wilson algebra for q=1q=-1.Comment: 20 page

    Self-aligned nanoscale SQUID on a tip

    A nanometer-sized superconducting quantum interference device (nanoSQUID) is fabricated on the apex of a sharp quartz tip and integrated into a scanning SQUID microscope. A simple self-aligned fabrication method results in nanoSQUIDs with diameters down to 100 nm with no lithographic processing. An aluminum nanoSQUID with an effective area of 0.034 μ\mum2^2 displays flux sensitivity of 1.8106\cdot 10^{-6} Φ0/Hz1/2andoperatesinfieldsashighas0.6T.Withprojectedspinsensitivityof65\Phi_0/\mathrm{Hz}^{1/2} and operates in fields as high as 0.6 T. With projected spin sensitivity of 65 \mu_B/\mathrm{Hz}^{1/2}$ and high bandwidth, the SQUID on a tip is a highly promising probe for nanoscale magnetic imaging and spectroscopy.Comment: 14 manuscript pages, 5 figure
