Metacategorias semânticas para aplicação em SKOS

This work aims to develop a model of semantic metacategories for application in SKOS. Specifically, it seeks to systematize the different theoretical currents about semantic relations of the area of Organization of knowledge and their respective methods in Information Science. In the current context, the Information Retrieval Systems (SRI) search interface, with its different search possibilities, play an intermediary role between the user and the documentary collection of an institution. Thus, it is necessary that these systems be designed in a way that facilitates the retrieval of information by users. One of the ways to make SRI more accessible is to invest in improving the semantic relationships of Knowledge Organization Systems (SOCs). From the systematization and description of typologies of semantic relations available in the literature of the area of knowledge organization, we will implement the same in Thesa software. The insertion of the identified semantic metacategories will allow the observation and description of their functioning in different domains of knowledge, since Thesa is already used by 182 users and curates 142 thesauri. The consolidation of the results of this research will enable the development of semantically strengthened thesauri, in a natural transposition between theory and practice. It is hoped that the results generated with the software update will allow SRI to incorporate the use of the software, so that it is possible in the future to contextualize the information, both by the user and the information professional. Of the future results of the use of Thesa, is the possibility of establishing dictionaries of theses between diverse domains and subjects, as well as generating inferences with bases in other thesauri, facilitating the operationalization of its managers, with the use of Artificial Intelligence
