This paper will try to present the developmental determinants of multi-specialist therapeutic teams which support people with disability (from multi- to transdisciplinary model of therapeutic teams). The developmental analysis of therapeutic teams will include formal, legal, organizational and theoretical aspects (basing on the professional competencies development theory by Stefan Kwiatkowski). This paper will try to present developmental determinants multi specialist therapeutic teams which support people with disability (multi and trans disciplinary models of therapeutic teams).Developmental analysis of therapeutic teams will include formal, legal, organizational and theoretical aspects (basing on Kwiatkowski professional competences development theory)

Last time a huge progress of researches regarding communication possibilities of children with Asperger’s syndrome can be noticed. Despite of this, the knowledge concerning this subject seems to be insufficient. There is also indisputable fact, that communication both on linguistic and non – linguistic level is incorrect. Disorders in this area might have different nature. Some children can be on a satisfactory level in linguistic area, some did not carve communication skills in sufficient level and it is hard to predict their development in this area. Additional difficult are huge differences between development of their communication skills. Communication ability is not only a part of socialization but also impacts on emotional and cognitive development, mainly because of it allows to extend area of experiences and understandding of world and people. Abnormalities which can be seen in development of children with Asperger’s syndrome dispose to think what kind of methods can be used in order to make efficient their functioning in social area.Last time a huge progress of researches regarding communication possibilities of children with Asperger’s syndrome can be noticed. Chronic disease as a barrier in achieving of independence by children

Chronic diseases determine children’s functioning in different areas of their life. It is caused very often by unclear experiences which are result of typical disease unit (such as physical pain, activity restriction), impact into environment (feeling of danger, fear, physical suffering).Very important seems to be here unit’s activity which play main role in coping process1. Because of many experiences child gain knowledge referring to concrete events strictly connected to therapy process. Basing on this child have a possibility to choose proven strategies which are foundation to effective coping with disease and give possibility to gain wellbeing, efficiency, independence which lead to effective development.Chronic diseases determine children’s functioning in different areas of their life. Preliminary studies on plants regenerated from endosperm-derived callus of kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa var. deliciosa)

To show differences between plants of Actinidia deliciosa var. deliciosa regenerated from endosperm-derived callus (with 3C amounts of DNA) and those obtained from seeds, observation of their stomata and leaf hairs density was carried out. Stomata and leaf hairs are the features which are often related to ploidy status of plants. Our observation revealed that for plants, which represents 3C DNA level, stomata density was higher than for plantlets showing 2C DNA content. Additionally, density of leaf hairs seems to be also higher in regenerants. This is the first morpho-histological studies of plants regenerated from kiwifruits endosperm tissue

Recently, it has been noticed that the problems of specific specializations in the field of special education overlap or go far beyond the area of a given sub-discipline. The article addresses issues related to outlining the main problems that we may encounter in the area of pedagogy, and which are crucial for the lives of people with chronic illness in various areas of their functioning. They are: body traits – their importance in building identity in the situation of experiencing a chronic disease; coping with loss in a chronic disease situation; matching in contact with a person with a chronic illness and participation in social exchange.Recently, it has been noticed that the problems of specific specializations in the field of special education overlap or go far beyond the area of a given sub-discipline. Education for students with disabilities – Polish and Hungarian solutions

    Get PDF
The article is a direct outcome of a discourse aimed at exchanging experiences and views in the area of education and rehabilitation for people with disabilities in Poland and Hungary, undertaken as part of scientific cooperation between universities which deal with the issues of special education among others. The authors attempt to perform and present a comparative analysis of current academic solutions for students with disabilities in both countries. Similarities and differences in the solutions discussed, especially problematic areas currently showing in the educational systems, constitute the basis for further discussion and research aimed at developing best practices that would ensure quality education for children and adolescents with disabilities. The article is a direct outcome of a discourse aimed at exchanging experiences and views in the area of education and rehabilitation for people with disabilities in Poland and Hungary, undertaken as part of scientific cooperation between universities which deal with the issues of special education among others. Characterization of Microbial Communities in Acidified, Sulfur Containing Soils

    Get PDF
Over a period of three years, microbial communities in acidified soil with high sulfur content were analyzed. In soil water extracts ureolytic, proteolytic, oxidoreductive, and lipolytic activity were detected. The presented results indicate that the enzymatic activity of soil microbial communities varied considerably over time. Isolated 26 (80%) bacterial strains belonged to genus Bacillus sp. and were identified bycultivation and 16S rRNA methods. The commercially available procedures for bacterial DNA isolation from acidified soil failed, therefore a new, specific DNA isolation method was established. Ureolytic activity, detected in soil extracts as well as in isolated Bacillus sp. strains may be considered as a tool for the bioremediation of acidified soils with high sulfate content

A patient with ischemic stroke and myocardial infarction undergoing interventional treatment - a case report

The coexistence of acute ischemic stroke and acute myocardial infarction is rare. The reperfusion therapy used in the therapeutic window is the golden standard in the treatment of both diseases. We present a case of successful aspiration thrombectomy circumflex anterior artery and effective mechanical thrombectomy of the right internal carotid artery in a 49 - year-old female patient with myocardial infarction and ischemic stroke. When admitted in a neurological examination she received 16 points. on the NIHSS scale. The patient was discharged from the clinic as an independent, with slight hemiparesis (NIHSS 4 points). The result of recanalization was 3 points in the TICI scale. After intravascular treatment, the patient was advised to use anticoagulant therapy due to arterial thrombosis in two vascular areas and a high probability of thrombophilia until complete diagnostics. During the hospitalization, cardiovascular diseases were diagnosed. Transesophageal echocardiography showed a left-right flow through Botallio foramen width of 3 mm, with no visible reversal of leakage after contrast administration. After 3 months, tests were performed that did not confirm thrombophilia. The question of closing the surviving Botallio foramen, re-performing Holter and further genetic testing remains to be considered
