    Numerical Modelling and Experimental Investigation of a Buried Arc Welding Process

    This paper presents a numerical and experimental study of residual stresses induced by the buried arc welding process in a butt-welded plate sample. Within the framework of numerical investigations, a thermo-mechanical finite element analysis is performed by applying the element birth and death technique in the thermal analysis, while the mechanical analysis is performed simultaneously in one step to reduce simulation time. To validate the numerical model, a series of experiments using a fully automated welding process are conducted. The temperature and residual stress measurements are performed by using thermocouples and hole-drilling stress relaxation method. Furthermore, the heat input efficiency for the buried arc welding process is determined by using a parametric analysis

    IMPACT OF DIFFERENT ROOTSTOCKS ON THE YIELD AND FRUIT WEIGHT OF WATERMELONS

    The paper presents the results of research on the impact of rootstocks of different origins on the yield and fruit weight of watermelons. Field research was conducted in 2021 at the KobiŔnica site in the vicinity of Negotin, on chernozem soil. Two varieties of watermelon were used as a test material (namely, Mirsini F1 and Crimson sweet), as well as two rootstocks of different origins (namely, Emphasis F1 and Strong Tosa F1). Research results have showed that the average fruit weight of the yield per plant and the total yield of the Mirsini F1 variety grafted on the Emphasis F1 rootstock was higher than in the same variety grafted on the Strong Tosa F1 rootstock. The average fruit weight of yield per plant and the total yield of the Crimson sweet variety grafted on the Emphasis F1 rootstock has also showed better results in comparison to the same variety grafted on the Strong Tosa F1 rootstock.&nbsp

    Paunovo oko (Spilocaea oleagina Cast.) je najpoznatija i najrasprostranjenija gljivična bolest masline na području cijelog Sredozemlja. Gljivica je cijele godine prisutna u maslinicima zbog čega je simptome bolesti na liŔću moguće zamijetiti u svako doba godine. Napadnuti listovi na sebi imaju karakteristične okruglaste pjege koje izgledom podsjećaju na oči paunovog perja, po čemu je bolest i dobila ime. Zbog bolesti dolazi do intenzivnog otpadanja liŔća, slabljenja kondicijskog stanja stabala i smanjenja prinosa masline. Suzbijanje bolesti provodi se fungicidima na osnovi bakra prskanjem u jesen (rujan-listopad) i koncem zime (veljača-ožujak).Peacockā€™s eye leaf spot (Spilocaea oleagina Cast.) is the most famous and widespread fungal disease of olive tree in the whole Mediterranean area. The fungus is present in the olive groves all year long, so the leaves show the symptoms of this disease during the whole year. The diseased leaves have characteristic round stains which resemble eyes on peacocksā€™ feathers; thus the disease got its name. It causes intensive falling of leaves, weakening of trunk and reducing the yield of olive trees. The suppression of the disease is carried out with fungicides with copper by spraying during the autumn (September - October) and during the end of winter (February - March

    Prema povijesnim podatcima vinova loza se na području Hercegovine uzgajala i u vrijeme starih Ilira, odnosno plemena Daorsa. Danas se prema procjenama u BiH nalazi oko 4.000 hektara pod vinovom lozom. U mnoÅ”tvu vinskih kultivara lokalnog sortimenta svojom kakvoćom izdvojili su se kultivari Žilavka i Blatina. Uz Žilavku se u hercegovačkim nasadima vinove loze uzgajaju prateće sorte Bena, KrkoÅ”ija i Dobrogostina, a uz Blatinu autohtoni kultivar Trnjak, kao i poznati svjetski kultivari Vranac, Merlot i Alicante Bouschet. U razdoblju nakon Domovinskog rata na području Hercegovine podižu se i nasadi vinove loze u kojima su zastupljeni i ostali, cijenjeni kultivari kao Å”to su Syrah, Chardonnay, Cabernet sauvignon, Souvignon blanc, Muscat ottonel, GraÅ”evina i brojni drugi.According to historical data of grape vine, it was cultivated also at the time of the ancient Illyrians and tribe of Daorsa. Nowadays, according to estimations in Bosnia and Herzegovina there are about 4,000 hectares cultivated with grape vine. In a multitude vine grape cultivars of local variety, Zilavka and Blatina stand out with their quality. With Zilavka in the Herzegovinian plantations of grape vine followed varieties Bena, Krkosija, Dobrogostina are cultivated and with Blatina autochthonous cultivar Trnjak, as well as a world well-known varieties Vranac, Merlot and Alicante Bouschet.     SOIL QUALITY MONITORING FOR HYDROSEEDING NEEDS ON THE SECTION OF THE E-75 HIGHWAY, CORRIDOR 10

    The paper presents the results of testing the chemical and physical soil properties for the hydroseeding needs on the section of the E-75 highway, Corridor 10, Gornje polje-Caričina dolina. The tests were performed in the laboratory of the Department of Agricultural and Food Studies in Prokuplje, on 12 average soil samples in 2020 and on 13 average soil samples in 2021. There were analyzed the chemical properties: pH values in H2O and in 1M KCl, humus by Kotzmann method, total nitrogen calculated from humus, readily available potassium and phosphorus by AL method, and CaCO3 content was determined volumetric, by SchƤibler calcimeter. Physical properties were analyzed: water content in the form of mass fraction in soil (SRPS ISO 11465:2002) and mechanical composition of soil by pipette method with preparation of samples with sodium pyrophosphate and classification of texture classes according to ISSS, Baize (1993). The obtained results show that the examined soils are weakly acidic to moderately alkaline reaction in H2O and moderately acidic to alkaline reaction in 1M KCl, very low content of humus and total nitrogen and weakly carbonate on all analyzed samples. The soils are low to medium supplied with easily accessible potassium and very low provided with easily accessible phosphorus. The water content in the form of mass fraction in the soil is used to translate the results of air-dry samples into the result expressed on the mass of dry soil. Heavy clay to sandy loam dominates by texture classes in the analyzed soils

    Na lokalitetu Duvanjsko polje - Kovači podižu se intenzivni nasadi kupina za Å”to je potrebno osigurati kvalitetan sadni materijal. U nabavljenom sadnom materijalu tijekom 2009. godine zamijećeno je patoloÅ”ko suÅ”enje izdanaka kupine. Na osnovi simptoma oboljenja i morfoloÅ”kih osobina uzgojenih izolata (izgled, boja i veličina konidija, pojava i izgled piknida, izgled i veličina spora) identificiran je uzročnik navedenog propadanja izdanaka kupina kao Septocyta ruborum (Lib.) Petr. (sin. Rhabdospora ramealis (Roberge ex Desm.) Sacc.) - ljubičasta pjegavost kupine. Prema naÅ”im spoznajama, ovo je prvi nalaz gljive Septocyta ruborum u Bosni i Hercegovini. Iako do sada ta vrsta gljivičnog oboljenja nije registrirana u BiH, prisutna je u regiji. Bolest je zabilježena u Hrvatskoj i u Srbiji, gdje su tijekom proÅ”log desetljeća nerijetko zabilježene veće Å”tete zbog zaraze u intenzivnim nasadima kupine. U radu je opisana izolacija i identifikacija parazita te je dan kratak osvrt na mjere suzbijanja i zaÅ”tite od ljubičaste pjegavosti izdanaka.In location Duvanjsko polje - Kovači the intensive plantations of blackberry are going to be planted, for what providing quality planting material is necessary. In the planting material bought in 2009 the pathological drying of blackberry shoots is observed . On the basis of the symptoms of disease and morphological characteristics of cultured isolates (appearance, colour and size of conidia, pycnidia appearance and layout, appearance and size of the dispute) the cause of this decline as a blackberry shoots is identified, and that is Septocyta ruborum (Bk) Petr., (sin. Rhabdospora ramealis (Roberge ex Desm.) Sacc. - Purple Leaf Blackberry. To our knowledge, this is the first finding fungi Septocyta ruborum in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although this type of fungal disease has not been registered in BiH so far , it is present in the region. The disease has been recorded in Croatia and Serbia, where over the past decade, often reported major damage due to infection in intensive orchards, blackberry.The study describes the isolation and identification of parasites, and a brief review of control measures and protection against outcrops of purple freckl
