    U radu se analiziraju neki od elemenata kakvoće sjemena crnoga oraha i ispituju njegova svojstva. U proljeće 2004. godine obavljena je sjetva stratificiranog sjemena na dva načina: na gredice i u dva tipa zbirnih kontejnera (Bosnaplast 18 i kontejner dimenzija 35,5x27,0 (16) sa 24 rupe za sadnju). Najveća rasadnička klijavost dobivena je kod sjemena posijanog u kontejner Bosnaplast 18 (55,00 %), slijedi rasadnička klijavost sjemena posijanog na gredice (42,99 %) i u drugi tip kontejnera (20,83 %). Prosječno najveće visine na kraju prve vegetacije (1+0) imale su sadnice uzgajane na gredici (315 mm). Visine sadnica u kontejneru Bosnaplast 18 bile su u prosjeku niže za 61 mm a u drugom tipu kontejnera za 67 mm u odnosu na sadnice uzgajane na gredici. U jesen 2004. godine obavljena je sjetva nestratificiranog sjemena na dva načina, s obzirom na čišćenje mesnatog usplođa ploda. Dio sjemena posijan je s usplođem, a dio bez usplođa. Rasadnička klijavost očišćenog sjemena iznosila je 91,67 % a sjemena posijanog sa usplođem 73,00 %. Najveću visinu na kraju prve vegetacije (1+0) imale su nepodrezane sadnice uzgojene iz sjemena s očišćenim usplođem (524 mm). Nepodrezane sadnice uzgojene iz sjemena bez čišćenja usplođa bile su prosječno niže od sadnica uzgojenih s očišćenim usplođem za 185 mm. Podrezane sadnice, u jednom i drugom slučaju, bile su niže od nepodrezanih.The paper analyzes some of the elements of Black walnut seed quality and examines its characteristics. In spring 2004 stratified seed was sown in two ways: on nursery beds and in two types of multiple containers (Bosnaplast 18 and a 35,5x27,0 (16) container with 24 holes). The seed sown in the Bosnaplast 18 container showed the largest germination percentage (55,00 %), followed by nursery germination of seed sown on beds (42,99 %) and in the other type of container (20,83 %). At the end of the current growing season (1+0) the bed-grown seedlings had the largest height (315 mm). The seedlings grown in the Bosnaplast 18 container 18 were on average lower by 61 mm and those from the other container by 67 mm with respect to the bed-grown seedlings. In autumn 2004 non-stratified seed was sown in two ways: with and without cleaning husks. Part of the seed was sown with and part without husks. The nursery germination of the cleaned seed amounted to 91,67 % while the germination of the seeds sown with husks reached 73,00 %. The non-undercut seedlings raised from the cleaned seeds had the largest height (524 mm) at the end of the current growing season (1+0). The non-undercut seedlings raised from uncleaned seeds were on average lower by 185 mm compared to the seedlings raised from cleaned seeds. In both cases the undercut seedlings were lower than the non-undercut ones

    UTJECAJ NAVODNJAVANJA I GNOJIDBE DUŠIKOM NA SVOJSTVA SORATA SOJE (Glycine max (L.) Merr.)

    Field trials were set during a two year period under field conditions in Osijek. The aim was to confirm an influence of irrigation rate, nitrogen (N) fertilization and soybean varieties on seed yield and some yield components. The irrigation treatments were: control (A1); soil moisture content from 60% to 100% retention water capacity (RWC, A2) and soil moisture content from 80% to 100% RWC (A3). Rate of N was sub sub-factor: 0 (B1); 100 (B2) and 200 kg N ha-1 (B3), were applied. Una (C1) and Anica (C2) soybean varieties were a sub-sub factor (C). Mean soybean seed yields were 3082 kg ha-1 and 3538 kg ha-1 in 2006 and 2007, respectively. Irrigation resulted high statistically influence in soybean seed yield in both investigated years. Variety Una yielded (3179 kg ha-1) statistically very higher than Anica in 2006. Irrigation had significant effect in pod number plant-1 only in year 2007. Interactions AB and AC were significant in pod number plant-1, in one year, while BC interaction was in both years. Thousand seed weight (g) resulted in significant effect in irrigation treatment in both years, N fertilization effect in year 2007, while variety Una had highly significant higher value than variety Anica, in both years. Irrigation, N fertilization and variety had statistical very significant influence on seed weight plant-1 in one year, only. Seed weight plant-1 interaction effects AB, BC and ABC were very significant in one year, while BC interaction was in both years. Irrigation and variety had significant influence on seed number plant-1 in both years, while interactions AB, AC, BC and ABC showed significant effect in both years or very significant once.Na području Osijeka tijekom dvije godine postavljeni su poljski pokusi. Cilj je rada bio utvrditi utjecaj navodnjavanja, gnojidbe dušikom (N) i kultivara soje na urod i neke komponente uroda. Varijante navodnjavanja bile su kontrola (A1); održavanje sadržaja vode u tlu od 60% do 100% retencijskoga kapaciteta za vodu (RKV, A2) i održavanje sadržaja vode u tlu od 80% do 100% RKV (A3). Količina N bio je podfaktor: 0 kg N ha-1 (B1); 100 (B2) i 200 kg N ha-1 (B3). Sorte Una (C1) i Anica (C2) bile su pod-podfaktor (C). Prosječan urod zrna soje bio je 3082 i 3538 kg ha-1 2006., odnosno 2007. godine. Navodnjavanje je rezultiralo statistički vrlo značajnom razlikom u urodu zrna soje u obje godine. Sorta Una imala je (3179 kg ha-1) statistički značajno veći urod od Anice u 2006. godini. Navodnjavanje je rezultiralo statistički značajnom razlikom u broju mahuna po biljci samo u 2007. godini. Interakcija AB i AC na broj mahuna po biljci bila je statistički značajna u jednoj godini, a interakcija BC u obje godine. Masa tisuću zrna (g) rezultirala je značajnim učinkom navodnjavanja u obje godine, učinak gnojidbe N u 2007. godini, dok je sorta Una bila vrlo značajno veća od Anice u obje godine. Navodnjavanje, gnojidba N i sorta soje rezultiralo je sa statistički značajnom masom zrna po biljci samo u jednoj godini. Interakcije AB, BC i ABC bile su vrlo značajne u masi zrna po biljci u jednoj godini, dok je interakcija BC bila značajna u obje godine. Navodnjavanje i sorta soje rezultirali su vrlo značajnim utjecajem na broj zrna po biljci u obje godine istraživanja, dok su interakcije AB, AC, BC i ABC bile značajne u obje godine ili vrlo značajne u jednoj godini

    The frequency of blood groups was researched in domestic non-pedigree cats and some pedigree cats in the City of Zagreb. The research comprised 30 domestic non-pedigree cats and 15 pedigree cats, of which 10 were British shorthair cats and 5 Persian cats. Of the 30 domestic non-pedigree cats, 29 of them (96.66 %) had blood group A. Only one cat (3.33 %) had blood group AB. Blood group B is extremely rate, and was found in only one of the 10 British shorthair cats. The remaining British shorthair cats had blood group A. All five Persian cats tested had blood group A. The frequency of blood groups in domestic non-pedigree cats and in British shorthair and Persian cats is very similar to the frequency of these breeds in the rest of the world.Istraživane su krvne grupe u domaćih i nekih čistokrvnih mačaka na području grada Zagreba. U istraživanje je bilo uključeno 30 domaćih i 15 čistokrvnih mačaka, 10 britanskih i 5 perzijskih. Od 30 domaćih mačaka, njih 29 (96,66 %) imalo je krvnu grupu A. Samo jedna domaća mačka (3,33 %) imala je krvnu grupu AB. Krvna grupa B je izuzetno rijetka, nađena je samo u jedne od 10 britanskih mačaka. Preostale britanske mačke imale su krvnu grupu A. Svih 5 pretraženih perzijskih mačaka imale su krvnu grupu A. Učestalost krvnih grupa u domaćih mačaka te britanskih i perzijskih vrlo je slična učestalosti krvnih grupa u ovih pasmina mačaka drugdje u svijetu

    COVID-19 je infektivna bolest koja se nakon pojave (prosinac 2019., Wuhan, Kina) tijekom sljedeća 3 mjeseca proširila na sve kontinente i izazvala pandemiju s kojom je čovječanstvo prvi put suočeno. S obzirom na to da bolesnici imaju pretežito respiratornu simptomatologiju često s razvojem intersticijske upale pluća te da se radi o visoko kontagioznoj bolesti, nameće se potreba brze, pouzdane i sigurne dijagnostike plućnih komplikacija ove bolesti. U COVID-19 bolesnika ciljani ultrazvuk pluća je superioran u odnosu na klasičnu Rtg snimku srca i pluća te se u dijagnostičkoj pouzdanosti približio MSCT-u toraksa. Razlog tomu je činjenica da su upalni infiltrati lokalizirani prvenstveno bazalno i periferno gdje su dostupni UZV pregledu. Najčešće zahvaćene regije su 5 i 6 obostrano, a u nalazu dominiraju multiple B linije u 2 i više regija u kombinaciji s pojedinačnim B linijama. U ožujku 2020. osnovan je Primarni respiracijsko-intenzivistički centar u KB Dubrava (PRIC KBD) s ciljem zbrinjavanja COVID-19 bolesnika s umjerenom do teškom kliničkom slikom i znacima respiracijske insuficijencije. Za dijagnostiku i praćenje bolesnika, uz Rtg snimku srca i pluća te MSCT toraksa, korišten je ciljani UZV pluća. Osim dobre korelacije s kliničkom slikom i stupnjem respiracijske insuficijencije, ciljani UZV pluća pokazao se korisnim zbog kratke izloženosti aerosolu tijekom pretrage, a bez potrebe za mobilizacijom bolesnika ili korištenjem mobilnog Rtg uređaja. Postao je suverena zamjena za stetoskop uz mogućnost pridržavanja svih mjera za prevenciju širenja aerosola: mobilni uređaj bez kabela, mogućnost dezinfekcije pa čak i korištenje samo jednog uređaja po bolesniku u intenzivističkom centru, čime je postao važna dijagnostička metoda kod COVID-19 pozitivnih bolesnika.COVID-19 is an infectious disease which surfaced in December 2019 (Wuhan, China) and swept across all the continents in a matter of 3 months, triggering a pandemic faced by humanity for the first time. Given the predominance of respiratory symptoms in patients, often accompanied by the development of interstitial pneumonia, and the fact that it is a highly contagious disease, it called for a prompt, reliable and safe diagnosis of pulmonary complications of the disease. In COVID-19 patients, focused lung ultrasound is superior to the classical heart or chest X-ray, and in terms of diagnostic reliability, is almost up to par to an MSCT of the thorax. This is due to the fact that inflammatory infiltrates are localized primarily basally and peripherally where they are accessible to ultrasound examinations. Regions 5 and 6 (both sides) are most commonly affected, and medical reports show a predominance of multiple B lines in 2 or more regions in combination with individual B lines. In March 2020, the Primary Respiratory Intensive Care Center at Clinical Hospital Dubrava (PRIC KBD) was founded to treat COVID-19 patients with a moderate to severe clinical picture and signs of respiratory failure. In addition to an X-ray of the heart and lungs and MSCT of the thorax, patients were diagnosed and monitored using focused lung ultrasound. Besides a good correlation with the clinical picture and degree of respiratory failure, focused lung ultrasound has shown to be favorable due to short aerosol exposure during screening, without the need to mobilize patients or use a mobile X-ray device. It has become an unrivalled replacement for the stethoscope, capable of adhering to all measures to prevent the spread of aerosols: a cordless mobile device, disinfectable, with even the ability to use only one device per patient in the intensive care unit, rendering it an important diagnostic tool in COVID-19 positive patients
