Hidden Symmetries of the Open N=2 String
It is known for ten years that self-dual Yang-Mills theory is the effective
field theory of the open N=2 string in 2+2 dimensional spacetime. We uncover an
infinite set of abelian rigid string symmetries, corresponding to the
symmetries and integrable hierarchy of the self-dual Yang-Mills equations. The
twistor description of the latter naturally connects with the BRST approach to
string quantization, providing an interpretation of the picture phenomenon in
terms of the moduli space of string backgrounds.Comment: 24 pages, no figures; v2: typos correcte
Formation of Millisecond Pulsars in Globular Clusters
In this contribution we discuss how neutron stars are produced and retained
in globular clusters, outlining the most important dynamical channels and
evolutionary events that affect thepopulation of mass-transferring binaries
with neutron stars and result in the formation of recycled pulsars. We confirm
the importance of electron-capture supernovae in globular clusters as the major
supplier of retained neutron stars.By comparing the observed millisecond pulsar
population and the results obtained from simulations, we discuss several
constraints on the evolution of mass-transferring systems. In particular, we
find that in our cluster model the following mass-gaining events create
populations of MSPs that do not match the observations (with respect to binary
periods and companion masses or the number of produced systems) and therefore
likely do not lead to NSs spun up to millisecond periods: (i) accretion during
a common envelope event with a NS formed through accretion-induced collapse,
and (ii) mass transfer from a WD donor. By restricting ourselves to the
evolutionary and dynamical paths that most likely lead to neutron star
recycling, we obtain good agreement between our models and the numbers and
characteristics of observed millisecond pulsars in the clusters Terzan 5 and 47

Загальна теоретична характеристика семантичної основи метафори (General theoretic characteristics of the semantic basis of metaphors)

role in the English and Ukrainian languages are analyzed.
Oцінка ефективності фіскальної децентралізації місцевих бюджетів України (Estimation of effectiveness of fiscal decentralization of local budgets in Ukraine)
(The article investigates the effectiveness of fiscal decentralization of local budgets in Ukraine. The author reveals the major novations within the fiscal decentralization legistation and the main aspects reformation within the budget and
taxation areas. Furthermore, the article shows how reform of local budgets has influenced the absolute indices of fiscal decentralization. The author sums up by suggesting the ways to improve the process of fiscal decentralization at local levels through the adoption of new legislation in order to increase the effectiveness of fiscal decentralization.
Carrying out thermodynamic calculations and definition of the main reactions of decomposition of vapours of ethyl alcohol
Thermodynamic opportunities of course of chemical reactions of decomposition of the vapors of ethyl alcohol necessary at development of devices where these reactions will take place are considered. The entalpiyny method of calculation of constants of balance of probable chemical reactions is given in the Excel editor. Independent reactions of process of oxidation are defined. By result of thermodynamic calculation of each reaction schedules of dependence of a constant of balance on environment temperature from which follows are constructed that one reactions proceed until the end of aside formation of the final products, and others are improbable or impossible. The analysis of the received results shows that reactions of oxidation will successfully proceed in the established directions, and for an intensification of process of decomposition it is necessary to provide a supply of some energy which quantity will be sufficient for oxidation of vapors of ethyl alcohol. Results of calculations showed good convergence with programs of thermodynamic calculations like "Aster-4" and "TERRA"
Group Analysis of Variable Coefficient Diffusion-Convection Equations. I. Enhanced Group Classification
We discuss the classical statement of group classification problem and some
its extensions in the general case. After that, we carry out the complete
extended group classification for a class of (1+1)-dimensional nonlinear
diffusion--convection equations with coefficients depending on the space
variable. At first, we construct the usual equivalence group and the extended
one including transformations which are nonlocal with respect to arbitrary
elements. The extended equivalence group has interesting structure since it
contains a non-trivial subgroup of non-local gauge equivalence transformations.
The complete group classification of the class under consideration is carried
out with respect to the extended equivalence group and with respect to the set
of all point transformations. Usage of extended equivalence and correct choice
of gauges of arbitrary elements play the major role for simple and clear
formulation of the final results. The set of admissible transformations of this
class is preliminary investigated.Comment: 25 page
